About the team

This position sits within the UK Finance team, specifically within the Management Accounting team based in London. The Management Accounting team is responsible for providing robust reporting and analysis across the organisation, to ensure that WaterAid UK makes effective financial decisions and long term plans aligned with the 10 year strategy.

About the role 

As our Finance Business Partner you will regularly support and advise UK team leaders and senior managers to review financial aspects of their financial performance and plans, working closely with People, Finance & IT, Policy and Campaigns, and parts of the international programmes directorates. 

• Regularly advise UK team leaders and senior manager to review financial aspects of their operational plans.

• Continue to develop the systematic forecasting process for departments and ensure robust 3 year financial plans are implemented 

• Support strategic decision making on long term financial plans and modelling, supporting WAUKs 10 year strategy 

• Develop enhanced self-service reporting relevant at budget holder and department level that supports optimal decision-making 

• Create efficient finance processes that best deliver the needs of the organisation 

• Provide training and advice to build the financial management competencies of budget holders 

• Work closely with the wider finance and IS team on delivering the organisational priorities 

Requirements

To be successful, you will need: 

• Completed a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA). 

• Experience of formulating, overseeing and reporting on operational plans, including KPIs. 

• Demonstrable innovative ability; using data and insight to inform recommendations for improvements to products, processes or activities. 

• Proven experience of using insight and analysis to provide trends, inform and drive business decisions. 

• Keen interest in information systems, ability to learn new systems quickly. 

• Experience of accounting for restricted funds, preferably in an international organisation. 

• Adaptability to build effective working relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues and work in a collaborative way. 

• Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate multiple tasks and confident to work independently. 

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. 

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have: 

• Working knowledge of a budgeting and forecasting system. 

• Experience of using Power BI. 

• Working knowledge of SUN Vision Excel, or a similar multi-dimensional accounting system.
• Knowledge of donor reporting requirements /experience of reporting to donors. 
• Knowledge of development issues and the sector.

About the job

We are looking to recruit a Grants and Foundations Officer to join Caritas Salford’s fundraising team. You will be part of a team that is passionate about tackling poverty and inequality, where your work will have a real and visible impact. Your focus will be on maintaining and growing income from charitable trusts and statutory agencies.

As a Grants and Foundations Officer, you will work closely with senior managers and service managers, researching potential funders, securing funding from trusts, foundations and other potential funding partners. As well as building and stewarding lasting relationships that will help sustain and grow Caritas’ mission. We will support your development, helping you grow your fundraising skills, take on complex projects and help shape bids for commissioned services.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong research and analytical expertise, be highly organised and confident in using IT systems and digital tools for research, communication and data management. Additionally, you will have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders, plus a willingness to learn from others about fundraising and social impact.

37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekends required.

Part time would be considered

Flexibility to work remotely, with regular visits to Caritas services across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

We are seeking someone with great administrative and people skills to join our friendly team (16 hours per week) to support our Administration and Supporter Relations functions while being the welcoming face of Yeldall Manor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent great attention to detail and a passion for helping others to join a Christian organisation dedicated to supporting men in their recovery.

As Administration Assistant, you will provide crucial administrative support for the Administration & Supporter Relations Manager and other staff with tasks such as processing and recording residents’ leave applications, preparing thank you letters, assisting in the preparation and despatch of the monthly prayer diary and supporting the wider staff team with other administrative tasks as applicable (copying, laminating, data entry, document creation and editing).

As Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and residents. You'll warmly welcome guests and help direct enquiries as needed, and handle reception duties with professionalism. This includes staffing the reception desk, accessing calendars, sending emails, and performing other basic administrative tasks to keep the front office running smoothly.

Yeldall Manor is a Christian organisation, and this role requires a committed Christian faith to meet the occupational requirements (in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010). We ask all staff to engage with and support our residents in their recovery journey, offering encouragement in both practical and spiritual matters.

This is a part-time, permanent position (16 hours per week). You will share Reception duties with the existing Administration Assistant/Receptionist, based in the ground floor Main Office of Yeldall Manor, located in a beautiful rural setting. Lunch is provided daily with staff and residents.

Strategic Leadership and Professional Practice

 Patient Safety, Clinical Risk and Incident Management

• Implement and oversee the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) and annual associated plan alongside the Head of Clinical Governance.
• Ensure timely review and oversight of incident reporting, risk assessments, serious incident investigations, and associated actions.
• Promote and strengthen organisational processes for identifying, mitigating, and monitoring clinical risks.
• Communicate themes and learning from incidents across the organisation.

Workforce Leadership, Development and Management

• Provide professional leadership to nursing, care, safeguarding, respiratory, pharmacy, clinical governance and clinical education teams.
• Line manage: Business Support Manager, Senior Clinical Lead, Lead Respiratory Nurse and three house managers, and associated teams.
• Ensure robust workforce planning, including appropriate skill mix and safe staffing.
• Lead recruitment and retention strategies for nursing and care services in partnership with the People Team.
• Ensure regular, high-quality clinical supervision, appraisal, and professional development opportunities.
• Oversee NMC revalidation processes and compliance with professional standards.
• Build high-performing teams through motivation, recognition, coaching, and consistent performance management.

Nursing and Care Leadership

• Provide strategic leadership for the nursing and care education team and line manager this through the Senior Clinical Lead.
• Ensure a safe and effective education provision aligned with national standards and NMC, and other regulatory requirements.

Safeguarding

• Ensure strong collaboration with safeguarding professionals ensuring safeguarding governance, policy implementation, training compliance, and multi-agency collaboration.
• Provide senior oversight of safeguarding concerns, investigations, and learning in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and Quality, and wider safeguarding team.

Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)

• Provide leadership for infection prevention and control, ensuring compliance with national guidelines.
• Monitor infection data, oversee IPC audits, and initiate improvement strategies.
• Promote best practice in all clinical and residential settings.

Documentation, Information Management and Digital Systems

• Ensure safe, accurate and secure medical and care records, with regular audit for compliance.
• Maximise use of digital systems to support clinical decision-making, documentation, and governance.
• Ensure clear, consistent standards for record-keeping across all clinical and care areas.

Resource, Budget and Performance Management

• Hold delegated responsibility for staffing and non-staffing budgets across nursing, care, and residential services.
• Lead capital and equipment planning to ensure all clinical environments are safe and fit for purpose.
• Review and ensure effective skill mix and resource allocation.
• Set SMART objectives for direct reports and monitor performance through structured quarterly reviews.

Senior Leadership and Organisational Responsibilities

• Serve as a critical member of the Nursing and Care Senior Leadership Team.
• Participate in the senior site manager weekend rota.
• Communicate organisational messages effectively and relay staff feedback to senior leaders.
• Undertake additional duties aligned with the role’s scope and organisational requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and The Children's Trust policies.

Rare Dementia Support (RDS) is a UCL-led collaborative service offering specialist social, emotional, and practical support services for individuals living with, or affected by, a rare dementia diagnosis. Our vision is for all individuals with, at risk of or supporting someone with one of these forms of dementia to have access to information, tailored support and guidance, and contact with others affected by similar conditions.

RDS is provided by the UCL Dementia Research Centre (DRC) within the Department of Neurodegenerative Disease at the Queen Square Institute of Neurology and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

This is an essential, on-site post within the new Rare Dementia Support Centre (RDSC). You will be involved in the management and smooth running of all aspects of the Centre. You work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to support and induct new peer staff and volunteers. What You'll Do:​​

​In this key role, you will take ownership of all aspects of property management and facilities services, including long-term planning, compliance, and cost control. You will oversee maintenance programmes, manage budgets and contracts, and ensure high standards of health and safety across the estate.

This is a hands-on position that will involve, at times, physical activity, including accessing all areas of the Cathedral and other buildings, which may involve navigating numerous stairs and confined spaces.​

The Head of Supported Living is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and developing supported living services for adults with learning disabilities within the charity including our client's Shared Lives schemes and their residential home.
