We have an exciting opportunity for a Trust and Foundations Officer to join our team and play a vital role identifying, researching and approaching trusts and foundations interested in funding projects which focus on global canine welfare.

About the role:

As Trusts and Foundations Officer (International) you will:

• Support the Trust and Foundations Team Manager (International) to deliver the trusts/foundations element of the fundraising strategy.
• Meet an agreed annual income target via trusts/foundations, which contributes toward the Trust Team’s target.
• Develop a pipeline of charitable trusts/foundations that could support a range of international projects, programmes and activities.
• Write high quality funding bids, in line with the requirements of potential funders, and upholding Dogs Trust’s brand and high standards

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will have a demonstrable track record of securing grants from charitable trusts/foundations, well-developed written and verbal communication skills and, above all, be a strong, positive team player, committed to the aims and values of Dogs Trust.

You will have exceptional attention to detail and a strong aptitude for writing creative narrative that will ensure our applications stand out when being assessed. Ideally, to be considered for a role focused on fundraising for our international projects you will have a successful track-record of trust fundraising for international projects or a strong interest in doing so.

Main purpose and scope of Role

This role will play key to engaging with and supporting PTAs across the region, as well as a variety of stakeholders such as schools, parent groups, local authorities, potential sponsors or supporters and other organisations as our suite of programmes grows. This role initially focuses on the following, but is subject to change as programmes are launched or evolved:

PTA Programme

• Growing our network of PTAs.
• Supporting PTAs through leadership transition to minimise PTAs closing unnecessarily.
• Organising gatherings of PTAs to enhance the PTA community.
• Providing training and awareness sessions for PTAs.
• Providing community support to PTAs during peak activity periods online or by phone.
• Helping schools establish PTAs and supporting them during their first year through our new PTA Launchpad programme.
• Hosting and co-ordinating virtual webinars/meetings to demonstrate the value of PTA membership and the support available. 

Parent Programme

• Raising awareness of Parentkind’s growing programme of support for parents, directly or indirectly through schools or other partners.
• Building relationships with parent groups to support engagement with our growing suite of parent support opportunities.
• Organising events for parents as part of our Parent Programme.
• Building relationships with regional stakeholders to support Parent Programme activities.

Other Programmes/Services

• Encouraging uptake or (when charged) sales of our broad and growing suite of programmes and services.
• Identifying and engaging with local and regional partners for our range of programmes.
• Feeding into programme design.

Wider Stakeholder Engagement:

• Attending appropriate conferences and educational meetings across the region.

About Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports children across Sussex. We support babies, children, young people and their families at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and the Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex. 

We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors, nurses and other health professionals to do more. In 2022 we launched our three-year strategic plan, which prioritised our activities to enable us to support more babies, children and teenagers. We are thrilled to embark on an exciting new project, the Rockinghorse Wellbeing Service, designed to proactively enhance the mental health and well-being of hundreds of children, young people, and families living in Sussex. This innovative service will be situated at the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton.

The Wellbeing Service Manager will be responsible for delivering certain activities based on their skills and experience, collaborating with third-party providers and volunteers for others. This may involve bedside activities to improve the experience of in-patients, as well as group activities within the hospital or out in the community.

Each activity will undergo careful planning and evaluation, incorporating the voices and perspectives of young people. This approach ensures that we provide the most impactful activities to meet their needs.

Our primary goal is to support children and young people managing various illnesses, conditions, and disabilities through activities that alleviate stress and foster connections with others undergoing similar experiences.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Wellbeing Service Manager to join our team and take the lead on this new service. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in elevating the overall wellbeing of our young patients. Duties of the role 

Develop and Implement the Wellbeing Service

· The Wellbeing Service Manager will form part of a steering committee of senior and experienced NHS staff who are helping to develop and shape the service.

· Design and execute engaging wellbeing programs tailored to the unique needs of children, their families, and hospital staff.

· Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to integrate wellbeing activities into the overall care plan for paediatric patients.

· Demonstrate proficiency in leading consultations, developing comprehensive plans, and monitoring progress against established goals.

· Work collaboratively with Rockinghorse and the hospital's volunteering service to facilitate meaningful engagements for children and young people, as well as provide appropriate signposting to other services when needed.

Essential experience, skills and knowledge for the role: 

1. Qualified in a relevant area (eg youth work, social work, nursing, counselling, mental health) or with equivalent professional experience.

High Trees are seeking a dynamic and creative Voluntary and Community Sector Support Officer to provide tailored development support to local organisations and manage projects relating to sector support. You will be joining us at an exciting time following the formation of a new Research and Development team which is starting to deliver a new capacity building offer to the local VCS sector, including one-to-one mentoring and the production of high-quality resources based on our experience of working with Lambeth communities for over 25 years. You will be working on a variety of projects which focus on capacity building and VCS infrastructure support. Job Description

While no day is ever the same, broadly speaking your role will fall into the following areas:

• Grow, lead, manage and develop the Youth Services Team across YMCA Robin Hood Group as well as its subsidiary organisations: YMCA Newark and Sherwood, YMCA Goole, The Zone Youth Charity.
• Recruit, train, and manage the staffing of the programmes.
• Oversee funding and programme management for the whole of the service.
• Lead, manage and develop the Street Pastors programme based from the Malt Cross in Nottingham
• Ensure financial sustainability of all the youth services provisions including developing relationships with funding bodies, local authorities, commissioners, and schools.
• Grow and sustain fee for service provisions, sourcing, applying for and monitoring funding and securing tenders with the corporate funding team.
• Quality Assure all Youth Service Delivery to ensure that all programmes meet or exceed DofE regulations relating to any future Alternative School provision
• Act as Designated Lead Safeguarding Officer for the Youth and Families Service

You will need to be equally skilled at relationship and rapport building as you will be managing complex budgets including monitoring very diverse income and expenditure streams, managing cashflow, forecasting and annual budget setting.

There is a level of flexibility needed in this role, especially as we move into the growth phase, where you are able to support with the running of individual sessions as we embed new programmes and staff. Whilst this is a role predominately to work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, it would be foolish to suggest there won’t be a need for flexibility outside of these times. Of course, there will be flexibility for time off in lieu and or to adjust your working day to fit around the sessions. • Troubleshoot problems with equipment installations and resolve these faults both remotely and in person.
• To be responsible for stock and undertake auditing of the stock and maintain current databases according to Company requirements including updating and maintaining asset registers
• Support the IT manager in providing a high level of service coordination to ensure that new projects are delivered effectively. 
• To take part in training sessions and attend meetings as required.
• To manage and maintain records, including central records, stock control and budgetary records.
