We are looking for a Digital Content Officer to join us at CEASE (Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation). The RSCM is on a mission to enable the flourishing of church music, and in particular to get children singing.

Working across the whole charity, you will work to sell existing products, courses and events, as well as membership subscriptions. We are seeking a Regional Finance Officer to join our Finance team which provides day-to-day financial support and advice to MAG’s programmes in countries across the globe. This role is the first point of contact for journalists getting in touch with the Trussell Trust. The role is accountable for handling media enquiries; checking and responding to the press inbox; media monitoring and securing press coverage. The Role

Reporting to the PR Manager, the role will help deliver key media campaigns that call for change to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke.

THE ROLE
The Rainforest Project Officer role is based in South West England and funded by the  Species Survival Fund which National Lottery Heritage Fund are delivering on behalf of Defra. The role will include providing advice and support for landowners on the creation and management of temperate rainforests; overseeing rainforest restoration on the Woodland Trust estate; and working with the regional communications and engagement team to deliver a wide range of rainforest themed communications and engagement activities to showcase and raise awareness about the importance of the Temperate Rainforest and the work of the Woodland Trust. 

The Rainforest Project Officer will oversee, and help deliver, a diverse programme of work for the project, as well as line managing two early-career trainees to increase their knowledge and develop the skills needed to inspire a wide range of audiences to engage with this precious habitat.

This is an 18 month fixed term position. 

THE CANDIDATE
You’ll have experience in successfully delivering projects and programmes on time and to budget. You will use your excellent communication skills to represent the Woodland Trust and the project, in a professional, competent, and positive manner as well as having the confidence to present in front of large audiences.

You will have experience of building meaningful working relationships with a range of key stakeholders, effectively engaging with them so they are involved and inspired by our work and ensuring the impact of the project is maximised.  You’ll have a collaborative approach with experience of working with multiple teams and organisations for a shared purpose.
You will have the ability to take on a leadership role, supporting the training and upskilling of team members and volunteers. You’ll be self-motivated and flexible having the ability to manage and organise a diverse workload.

THE ROLE
The Engagement and Communications Officer (ECO) is part of an exciting new ‘Building Capacity Project’ which seeks to develop the skills and capacity of communities on the west coast of Scotland to deliver the aims of the Alliance for Scotland’s Rainforest i.e. protect and restore Scotland’s globally important temperate rainforest. The Woodland Trust has secured funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for this project's initial two-year ‘development’ phase.

The ECO will support the Project Development Manager, project team members and local staff working in three landscape-scale project ‘hubs’ (in Argyll, Morvern and Torridon). The role will provide opportunities for audiences to connect with Scotland’s rainforest and build the skills and capacity needed to sustainably restore it. This involves working with communities, organisations and specialists to a) raise awareness of Scotland’s rainforest, b) facilitate volunteering, on-the-job training and the sharing of learning about how to restore it, and c) inspire a long-term commitment to look after it.  

The ECO will plan and deliver communications and engagement activities during the project's development phase, and support the Project Development Manager to create a comprehensive activity plan for the delivery phase.  This includes surveying audiences to benchmark attitudes; managing a launch event; using existing (or establishing new) local and regional communication channels to reach audiences and share progress; co-developing with partners a series of meaningful engagement opportunities; supporting project ‘hubs’ to develop their own communications and engagement plans and monitoring the impact of project activities.

This is an 18-month fixed-term position. Should our funding bid for the subsequent five-year ‘delivery’ phase be successful, we hope the ECO will remain in post to support the delivery of these plans. 

THE CANDIDATE
You will have experience building relationships with a range of stakeholders including community organisations and are comfortable collaborating and engaging effectively for different outcomes e.g. learning, consultation or facilitation. 

You will be able to confidently organise and deliver a range of events from online webinars to community gatherings; have working knowledge of using social media for marketing, capturing interesting content and writing engaging stories, and you’ll be happy self-managing a diverse and varied workload. 

Plus you’ll have experience working as part of a project team, supporting funding bids, budgeting for, and reporting on the impact of your activity. Oh and have a genuine interest in Scotland’s rainforest of course!

A full UK driving licence is required so you can travel across the west coast when required. Access to your own vehicle would be ideal.

What would we like…?

Do you have good problem solving skills with the ability to spot future challenges through analysis?
We're looking for an analytical thinker to join our Facilitation and Planning team as Facilitation and Planning Officer.

You'll work as part of a team who are responsible for planning and scheduling of all events, conferences and one-to-one sessions across our programme suite. We recruit and support expert faculty to ensure our programmes are delivered to the highest quality in order to enrich participant learning.

Your main role will be to work within the Facilitation and Planning team, supporting with the development of our online system to auto-generate events. You'll  be responsible for setting up reporting and monitoring processes to support our optimisation of facilitators, and work closely with other internal programme stakeholders to oversee the creation of new policies and processes such as our Quality Assurance and development offer. 

Please note - this role is internally known as Facilitation and Planning Senior Associate. 

We would like you to:

• Lead on the scheduling process of our programmes, ensuring scheduling aligns with sequencing requirements
• Be the first point of contact for our team of external faculty (facilitators and coaches), supporting general queries and processing invoices. 
• Be responsible for allocating and matching facilitators to events and 1:1 coaching influenced by a set of key criteria
• Communicate and simplify complex data to share with stakeholders and identifying issues and solutions

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Facilitation and Planning Manager.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a excellent communication skills with experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. Our ideal candidate will have high attention detail, and thrive and excel with organising, scheduling and planning responsibilities.
 

Whilst experience in other analytical systems would be desirable, it is not a requirement for applying to the role but it is essential that you have an ability to get up to speed quickly and we will provide full training.

The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is seeking an experienced Financial Controller on a part-time basis to manage the transition of the financial systems and processes. With 2,400 members, the IPS is dedicated to advancing infection prevention and control (IPC), playing a pivotal role in supporting IPC professionals, promoting best practices, and influencing policy to prevent infections.

The organisation is transitioning away from being a association-management / volunteer-led model to a small secretariat, hiring its first CEO and five other positions, including this most senior finance role. You will lead on the transition process covering all aspects of financial management, to ensure the Society’s financial integrity and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial transition to an in-house model.
• Creating and testing all internal processes.
• Oversee Statutory accounts, budgeting, credit control, financial reporting and compliance.
• Manage payroll and pension scheme implementation.
• Forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and support with audit.
• Investigate potential new income generation schemes with CEO.

Requirements:

• Accountancy qualification (CIMA, ICAEW, AAT, ACCA, etc.)
• Proven experience in a financial management role, ideally within a membership body, learned society, nfp/charity or public sector.
