The Marketing & Communications Manager is a brand-new position which will sit on the Museum’s Management Board and be involved in site-wide decision making and realising the aims of the Trusts.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual with a background in marketing and communications to help us engage with new audiences, raise visibility and generate footfall and income. This position is ideal for someone ready to take the next step into a managerial role, or an experienced professional seeking a new challenge.

Working with all members of the museum team the post holder will provide support to make sure everyone’s marketing needs are met and that Exhibitions and Learning activities are properly promoted. As a new paid position this is an exciting opportunity to put your stamp on the role.

Overall Purpose

• To manage the development and delivery of the HRM Marketing & Communications Strategy
• To develop a comprehensive marketing plan covering all areas of the Museum’s activity (including Exhibitions, Learning, Retail)
• To engage and develop new and current audiences, ensuring that messaging is relevant and accurate and making sure that all areas of the Museum are appropriately represented.
• To develop and deliver communication and marketing plans, managing multiple campaigns and channels of communication. Realise new and maintain current marketing opportunities for the organisation.
• To promote the Museum’s brand and build its reputation locally, regionally and, where appropriate, nationally.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy, insight and evaluation

• Work with the Evaluation Team to gain visitor insight data that can be fed into the marketing strategy for the museum
• Deliver, with support from trustees, the marketing and communications strategy, including branding, managing social accounts, distribution and display of print marketing and creating newsletters
• Manage, deliver and monitor engaging integrated and audience-led marketing campaigns and communications that grow visitor numbers and revenue for the museum
• Support the development of business strategies, understanding the key objectives of the organisation and all activity being undertaken
• Report regularly on marketing activity across all channels, including collating press coverage, reviewing website data, social media reach and make recommendations for improvements and implement where necessary.

Press, print and design

• Develop and maintain relationships with press organisations and freelancers to distribute exhibition press releases as appropriate
• Provide regular listings to media and listing platforms, locally and regionally
• Manage design work ensuring brand and communication cohesion across campaigns.
• Prepare and supervise the production (with external suppliers where necessary) of promotional communications to include design and print of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photography.
• Work with colleagues to support promotion of Exhibition and Learning programmes and enhance visibility of the museum through signage and wayfinding.

Digital (website, social media, e-newsletters)

• Oversee the creation and implementation of all HRM digital content, covering website, social media and email marketing; ensuring engaging and accessible copy, correct data management, and monitoring and responding to customer enquiries, where applicable.
• Work with colleagues in Retail, Learning and Exhibitions to ensure effective promotion of activities across digital platforms.
• Stay up to date on digital trends and ensure the museum is making the most of opportunities for digital engagement.

Other

• Manage a small team of marketing volunteers and chair regular meetings of the Marketing Committee.
• Attend monthly Management Board meetings (currently hybrid) and contribute to regular team meetings.
• Work with colleagues across the organisation to understand and support their marketing and communications needs.

Other Information

JOB PURPOSE: The Public Affairs Manager will manage the implementation of ParalympicsGB’s policy & public affairs strategy, including managing a targeted contact programme with politicians, civil servants and stakeholder organisations. The role will also play a key role in supporting the organisation’s approach to influencing public policy in sport, disability and education and deliver Games’ time guest programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement

• Manage the implementation of the public affairs strategy, with support from the Head of Social Impact and Director of Communications & Social Impact, reporting back to the Senior Leadership Group on the outcomes achieved.
• Work with the CEO, Director of Communications & Social Impact and Head of Social Impact to implement a stakeholder engagement plan building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholder such as politicians, Government departments, ParalympicsGB’s members, sport and disability organisations, and the education sector.
• Coordinate ParalympicsGB colleagues to execute a contact programme with relevant stakeholders including Government Ministers, MPs and Peers, Civil Servants and Stakeholder organisations from ParalympicsGB’s membership and the wider sport, education and disability sectors.
• Monitor and analyse upcoming relevant policy and legislative developments and activities and identify opportunities for influence including drafting responses to parliamentary, government and other consultations.
• Represent ParalympicsGB externally to raise awareness and strengthen our reputation with key policy makers, decision-makers, and relevant public affairs networks. Reporting back to colleagues on the content of meetings and arranging follow-ups as appropriate.
• Prepare high-quality briefing materials for political audiences and senior internal stakeholders to support influencing priorities.
• Organise and support delivery of a series of Westminster based events and activations to support our Public Affairs strategy, including events to raise awareness of ParalympicsGB’s relevant social impact programmes e.g. Equal Play and Community Sport initiatives.
• Contribute to stakeholder engagement around the promotion of Stoke Mandeville as the birthplace of the Paralympic Movement.
• Administer the Paralympic Games guest programme for Government Ministers, Royal Patron and key stakeholders linked to social impact and international relations.

Policy

• Lead the coordination of ParalympicsGB responses to relevant Government consultations and other stakeholder responses.
• Lead the research, manage consultation with key stakeholders, and draft policy papers with regards development of ParalympicsGB’s policy papers in line with the social impact strategy, particularly around education (Equal Play), community sport, and disability.

Social Impact

• Work with the Social Impact team on communicating public affairs opportunities to our athletes (as part of the ParalympicsGB Athlete Community) and connecting social impact programmes to political opportunities.

Correspondence, Planning and Databases

• Draft correspondence with key contacts on behalf of the organisation.
• Develop and manage parliamentary and stakeholder contact management database.
• Provide administrative support to the Communications team as required.

With a background in fundraising or external stakeholder relations/partnerships management, you will join our established team to build new relationships, increasing our Mid-level and Major donors. 

The important stuff 

Salary: from £35,000 dependent on experience

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent, 9.30am - 5.30pm with occasional evening work for events such as our Spear Celebrations

Location: Hammersmith, London. Core team office days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with flexibility on other weekdays

Person Specification 

• An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Resurgo, and our mission to equip and support young people facing barriers to employment to enter work.
• Outstanding people skills; experience of relationship management within philanthropy, or a business development or client account management role.
• Strong written and verbal communicator including effective influencing and negotiation skills.
• Experience of developing and delivering operational plans to meet targets including running and hosting large and small events.
• Proven success of generating income, meeting targets or securing new business is desirable.
• An interest in research and data on the wider landscape that impacts young people facing barriers to employment.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Develop and manage relationships with Resurgo’s major donors, asking for financial support at the right time.
• Create individual engagement and stewardship plans for existing major donors and new prospects, including in-person meetings, written updates and reports.
• Help to develop the mid-level giving programme by creating a stewardship plan and tailored written communication.

Prospects

• Develop and implement the prospecting strategy, attending networking 
  events, asking for introductions and being confident using LinkedIn to 
  look for new opportunities, identifying, researching and contacting 
  potential supporters.
• Work with the corporate teams to cross-sell opportunities; identify and 
  further engage high level individuals within businesses and vice versa. 

Events

• Assist with the planning and delivery of a variety of fundraising events, 
  working closely with the impact, communications and finance teams to 
  generate strong results.
• Help to develop and deliver new strategic events to further engage 
  major and mid-level donors with Resurgo’s work.

Financial Management

• Help to monitor the major donor pipeline, regularly reporting on income and progress against targets and help with financial management using a CRM (Salesforce).

This is a great opportunity to join the unique RCJ Advice - Citizens Advice & Law Centre. We have two court-based offices, at the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand, and at the Central Family Court on High Holborn, although we mainly now provide advice by telephone and can therefore support people who are accessing any court in England and Wales.

This new role will take overall responsibility for these two court-based offices and the front-line aspect of these services. The role will manage a team of up to 3 employees, and will recruit volunteers, to deliver the work.

The main aims of this aspect of our operations are:-

• Providing a high quality first point of contact and initial triage service online, by email, telephone and in-person
• Providing an efficient and well-managed service between clients and in particular our volunteer solicitors
• Taking responsibility for our two offices to ensure they operate practically and safely for staff, volunteers and visiting clients
• Developing more efficient and technology-based solutions as to how to  run our front of house and triage service
• Having oversight of data collection at this initial triage stage 

This role is a new post within our Fundraising and Communications team and an exciting opportunity to shape a growing area of our work. The successful candidate will have some experience of working on a range of events, ideally challenge and sports fundraising, including tasks such as participant recruitment, tracking income, contributing to supporter journeys and assisting with event day activities.

This role plays a part in our fundraising and communications team helping us to meet our fundraising targets and drive growth in both our responsive and strategic communications.

About us: Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. About the role: This is an exciting time for Tender, with both the demand for and reach of our work expanding significantly in recent years. To support this expansion, we are recruiting for a Projects Coordinator to join the London and South East team. Working closely with the Programmes Manager and other Projects Coordinators, the postholder will develop, coordinate, and evaluate impactful projects aimed at promoting healthy relationships amongst children and young people in primary, secondary and specialist schools and settings across London and the South East.
