QMC School, partnered with Quilombo UK is looking for a volunteer personal assistant to join their national volunteering team working from home. This role offers a great opportunity for the right person looking to gain experience as a personal assistant, developing their office-based and management experience, or simply to ‘give back to their community’. The role provides you flexibility, with specific training provided where necessary to help you develop and grow your skill-set.
16 weeks contract.
What will I be doing?
- Managing organisation of meetings and appointment
- Organising events and conferences
- Implementing and maintaining procedures and administrative systems
- Managing databases, Liaising with staff
- Miscellaneous tasks to support the team
Practical Considerations
Essential:
- You will need to have good written skills
- Well organised, pro-active and able to deliver tasks efficiently
- Good time management
- To show professionalism at all levels and in all environments
- Strong team player
- Ability to work independently and ask for clarification when needed
- Able to volunteer at least 12 hours a week (2 days, 6 hours each day)

FCCT offer support under the seven pathways to young offenders (aged 15-21 in HMP/YOI Feltham) under the ‘7 pathways to Reducing Reoffending’. To do this we use trained volunteer mentors from all over London, where the bulk of our work is done:

Our aim is to help young people overcome hardships and make the positive transition back into wider society and to help to reduce reoffending rates.
Scope of Volunteer Admin Main Role and Duties (not exhaustive):
- Help FCCT to develop and complete the ‘Mayors Mentoring Quality Framework - Mentoring Quality Framework | London City Hall
- Helping to review the organisations governance and legal compliance
- Helping to update key policies i.e., Safeguarding, GDPR etc
- Attending and taking the minutes of some Board meetings with FCCT trustees
- Helping to recruit and manage the FCCT volunteer contingent
- Helping to identify and write funding bids
- Helping to identify/set up referral pathways and to arrange meetings and facilitate community relationships
- Collating and updating and maintaining relevant data
- Helping to facilitate effective working relationships with statutory organisations within the prison i.e., Wellbeing Team, OMU, Resettlement, Security, Chaplaincy, Probation etc

Communicate updates with the Volunteer Coordinator and share any challenges or concerns regarding the onboarding process.

Work in line with GDPR guidelines.

You will be trained by the Volunteer Coordinator and supported throughout your role in Unfold’s systems and processes.

We are looking for a Volunteer to help support us with administrative tasks which will include:
•Researching relevant essential services across all London boroughs, collating and maintaining upkeep of service contact information.
•Supporting Case Workers and the Local Coordinator with admin tasks as required.
•Supporting with awareness raising and promotion of the London Moving on Project.
•Supporting with researching and booking activities, talks and workshops to be delivered to clients at the London Hub.
•Facilitating the organisation of weekly Drop-In services at the London Hub.

This role requires maturity, and an ability to engage with female adults in a trauma informed way, while working alongside staff members to deliver the service in line with agreed procedures and systems.
Volunteers need to:
•Be at least 18 years old
•Be female as this role is restricted for females under the Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010
•Be willing to show regular commitment weekly which may involve travelling to different hub locations in London
•Be computer literate and have a good standard of spoken and written English
•Be willing to have an enhanced DBS check
•Have the ability to work in a sensitive and sometimes challenging environment with an awareness of our clients’ vulnerabilities and awareness of confidentiality procedures
•Have knowledge and understanding of human trafficking issues or willingness to learn
•Have knowledge of mental health issues and the challenges faced or a willingness to learn
•Have an understanding of the importance of professional boundaries in the role

QMC Capoeira School is looking for a Volunteer Camera Assistant who would love to support a community organisation undertake an international martial arts tournament and Brazilian Cultural Festival Project related work to start ASAP and finish mid – late November.
QMC Capoeira is a martial arts school based in London that has been running since 2006, has academy in Canada and the Dominican Republic and is the most awarded Capoeira School in the UK.
The objective of the role is to:
· Set-up cameras for livestreaming at the venue
· Monitor cameras during the livestream
· Manage cables and wires and areas around cameras to maintain good health and safety
The Studio Camera Assistant will play a critical role in helping to further develop the public profile of our organisation.
The ideal candidate will work in our Kingston office setting up and monitoring the cameras and lighting in the Studio during livestreams.
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Experience with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras
· Experience with professional camcorders (e.g. Sony NX100 or similar)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Previous broadcast or live streaming experience
· Previous experience with multicam setup
· Experience with stabiliser rigs
· Experience and knowledge of good lighting setup, arrangements, and techniques, such as 3 point lighting, and the use of diffusers
· Experience of use of HDMI, SDI, and Cat6 cables, extensions, and adapters
· Show professionalism at all levels and in all environments
· Be a strong team player
· Well organized, pro-active, self-starter and able to deliver tasks efficiently.
· Good time-management skills
