When a family member sustains a spinal cord injury it is a life changing experience for the whole family. They can feel very isolated and that no one understands what they’re going through.
Back Up’s Family Support Service is there to help. We enable a wide range of family members of all ages whose loved one is affected by spinal cord injury (SCI) to improve their wellbeing, build a support network and transform their lives through Back Up’s services.
The Family Support Coordinator will assist in supporting family members on an individual basis as well as in group settings as appropriate, together with providing support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new family support volunteers.
A Family Support Coordinator will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.
Lived experience of having a relative with SCI is essential, together with sharing our commitment to transform the lives of everyone affected by spinal cord injury.

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Head of Fundraising to lead and grow our voluntary income. Your focus will span the full range of fundraising activities, from statutory and trust funding to developing and increasing income across major donor giving, legacies, corporate partnerships, and individual giving.

About the role
The Drive Training Coordinator plays a central role in coordinating the planning and delivery of training activities across The Drive Partnership. The Training Coordinator will provide efficient logistical, administrative, and learner support across all Drive workforce trainings. This includes managing training schedules, resources, communication, and data in support of high-quality training outcomes.

About the Role
Responsibilities of the role comprise:
Campaign planning
- Lead the delivery of an ambitious and creative media and campaign strategy to bring about an improved recognition of the value and impact of youth work.
- Lead on other campaign strategy and planning, utilising a range of campaign tactics integrating media, digital media and other campaign tactics, working closely with other members of the Comms team and across Directorates.
- Oversee campaign activity for the annual Youth Work Week, to ensure the campaign engages key opinion formers and provides an opportunity for those within the sector to celebrate the impactful work they do.
- Analyse campaign effectiveness, including setting and tracking metrics across digital and traditional media.
- Ensure campaign plans are fully scoped and uploaded to the online project management system.
- Leading on strategic approaches to celebrity supporters / ambassadors and ongoing relationship management.
Press Office function
- Lead proactive media monitoring, enabling timely responses to significant developments and tracking positions on issues relating to NYA’s work.
- Develop key messages and positioning statements on issues in the youth sector and NYA’s activities, role and stance and promote consistency of messaging across NYA’s channels.
- Managing and responding to reactive media enquiries, providing statement and reactive ‘lines to take’, with the support of the Head of Communications
- Producing engaging content for various channels and audiences including press releases, blogs, opinion pieces and media briefings to elevate NYA’s profile and demonstrate our expertise and thought leadership.
- Managing the media monitoring and media database, nurturing relationships with target journalists, as well as online news outlets and thought leaders on key strategic issues.

About You
Essential competencies of the Campaigns and Media Manager:
- A self-starter brimming with creative ideas and proven experience of designing and executing high-impact campaigns that bring about a measurable change in knowledge, behaviour and / or policy.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, including political audiences, and confident in growing new relationships and leading meetings.
- An ability to grasp complex information and distil key messages for different audiences and crucially, which tactics and channels to use to engage them
- Have proven experience and a strong understanding of the UK media landscape, with demonstrable experience of having nurtured relationships with national and sector journalists to garner high-quality coverage.
- An understanding of how to use research and intelligence gained from listening exercises and other stakeholder insights to inform campaign messaging and metrics.
- Be skilled in developing media strategics and developing case studies and using data to create compelling new hooks
- Be proficient in evaluating campaigns and media outputs, with the ability to derive insights that inform future strategies.

- Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce and edit content to a journalistic standard across diverse audiences and channels.

- Excellent project management skills - able to keep track of all the moving parts to keep tasks on track and mitigate risks. Experience of using project management platform (or similar) would be an advantage.

- Highly competent in all Microsoft suite and ideally have experience of Google Drive and Sharepoint.

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS), is the only patient-led organisation in the UK specialising in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Due to its targeted focus on RA and JIA, NRAS provides truly expert and wide-ranging services to support, educate and campaign for people living with these complex autoimmune conditions, their families and the health professionals who treat them.
1. Main Purpose of Job
To drive referrals to and use of, NRAS services from NHS relationships across the UK.

The Role

Run in partnership with Project Bonhoeffer, a small charitable trust, the project began in 2012 with a vision that Christian students in Britain would have a greater awareness and understanding of Bonhoeffer’s radical approach to faith and discipleship, and its implications for Christian living in the modern world.
The project has helped to run over a dozen campaigns from Food Poverty to Peace, and had an immeasurable impact on thousands of students through blogs, resources, and relationships. All of this is bringing to light many ‘Bonhoeffers’ of today negotiating the implications on Christian living in the world.
In 2021 we developed the Faith in Action project as a graduate scheme by employing two graduates to work on the project; one to lead on theology bringing a depth of learning and theological refection, and the other to be a campaigns lead, taking us always back out into the world to make a difference.
The project has been very successful, and now we are looking to grow it for further. We are looking for a passionate graduate to join the project for the 2025-26 academic year.
In this role, you will be a theologian to make other theologians, and will provide the framework for students to be able to reflect theologically on their life and modern Christian Living. You will be responsible for growing the breadth of SCM’s Faith in Action resources, and discovering new ways of connecting with the current membership via the trends of social media or engaging in face-to-face reflections. An activist to make other activists, you will coordinate social action for SCM, engaging the membership in social justice projects that maximise our impact in society and the world.
You will work to build relationships between SCM communities and members to equip students with the skills they need to become faith-filled agents of social and political change and lead them in theological reflection to discern their involvement in local and national campaigns. You will also work to develop relationships with other Christian social justice and campaigning organisations to create opportunities for students to put their faith into action. In all of this, you will be supported by our small but perfectly-formed team, who will share your values and fully understand your aims in this project.
The role will require some travel within Britain, as well as semi-regular visits to the office in Birmingham, which may also include an overnight stay. You’ll provide expert advice, foster collaboration and learning, and shape how volunteering is developed and delivered across a wide range of communities and services. You’ll take a coaching approach in all that you do.
Your focus will be on ensuring best practice in volunteering. You’ll also be playing a significant role in increasing the impact of volunteering across the organisation. While no prior health or social care experience is required, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting others and driving positive change.
As a connector, adviser, and leader, you will work collaboratively with services across your region, and with our central support functions. You will represent volunteering in important decision-making forums, and help develop policies and practices that put people first. With a focus on equality, diversity, and inclusion, you’ll help create environments where volunteers and those we support truly thrive.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Permanent | Hybrid working with regular service visits within your regional area

Full Time Salary: 40-44 CGL scale points

What You Bring:
- Experience supporting and managing volunteers or placements, whether in a specialist or partnership role, demonstrating your ability to make a real difference.
- A strong understanding of best practices in volunteering, with knowledge of the frameworks that ensure safe, meaningful, and impactful involvement.
- Confidence in creating positive learning environments and coaching colleagues to grow and succeed.
- Awareness of safeguarding, safer recruitment, and working within a values-driven HR context that puts people first.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively at every level.
- A proactive and optimistic mindset, combined with a genuine commitment to a people-centered approach in all you do.
