We are seeking an individual to join the RAF Benevolent Fund’s Strategy & Impact team as a Research & Evaluation Manager. The role requires the individual to manage and implement research and evaluation projects, helping to ensure that the Fund’s activities are informed by evidence and research, and that the Fund is capturing and maximising its impact.

GUCE Communications Manager Role

Community Energy is gaining momentum nationally, where people are increasingly coming together to take control of their own energy supplies.  Grand Union Community Energy (GUCE, pronounced “juice”) is looking to see communities along the Grand Union canal in Hertfordshire enjoy a clean and resilient energy system that benefits all.  We develop, support and promote renewable energy and energy efficiency projects for local communities from Watford to Tring, and build householder resilience by helping them reduce their bills and energy use.

We are seeking a Communications Manager for one day per week. Depending on the skills of the applicant the same individual could also cover aspects of other roles we are looking to fill.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a person with experience in communications and marketing campaigns to join our small but expanding team. We are looking to extend reach, build our network and develop a stronger online presence across our different project areas.

The role will include the development and execution of a Communications and Marketing Strategy for the organisation.  Alongside the strategic planning of our comms work, the role will also include creating materials and content for campaigns to engage members of the public, potential partners, funders and investors.

As our Communications Manager you will play a leading role in delivering our contribution to the two-year National Lottery funded project ‘Community Energy People’.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing a Communications and Marketing Strategy, to build GUCE's brand, support existing project events, hiring, volunteer opportunities, and initiatives.

• Assisting the Development Officer and PM in communications to stakeholders and the public for projects, using the REGEN guide as the basis.

• Ensuring a steady flow of social media content that supports our projects and campaigns, on various platforms; mainly Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

• Creating and sharing engaging content, including text images and videos that promote GUCE and its key values. This may include attending in-person events on occasion to capture content.

• Ensuring that the social media strategy aligns with GUCE goals and values 

• Being aware of current social media trends and evaluating how GUCE can best participate

• Monitoring client engagement and interacting with clients and local groups on social media posts and platforms

• Creating on and offline materials, including blogs, leaflets, explainers, case studies, and FAQs to support our community engagement and fundraising work

• Working with the rest of the team to create materials that support the development of local Community Energy initiatives

• Undertaking website updates

• Producing a quarterly newsletter using Mailchimp, including news and gathering images from the wider team

Required

Terms and Conditions

Salary: Pro-rated salary for 1 day per week, £7,000 to £9,500 per annum (£34,000 to £47,000 full time equivalent) depending on experience plus 3% pension contribution.

Hours: 1 day per week (7.5 hours). The working hours can be flexible.

Location: Home-working, ideally within the GUCE catchment area from Watford to Tring.

You will need to travel to meet stakeholders, attend relevant meetings and visit potential sites. You may be called upon to work outside office hours.

Contractual arrangements: 12 months fixed term with the opportunity to extend, subject to 3 months’ probation.

There is a notice period of four weeks from both sides

Holidays: The equivalent of 28 days per annum excluding Bank Holidays, pro-rata for the part-time nature of the post.

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003. Each year, more than 200 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide or suicide or sudden death following domestic abuse. About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Regional Casework Manager (RCM) to join the Scottish Regional Office of SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity. 

You will be part of the regional office team, managing two Regional Casework Co-ordinators and two Casework Administrators. The team provides specialist administrative support and act as a single point of contact to SSAFA branch-based volunteers ensuring that SSAFA beneficiaries receive consistent, timely, and high-quality service. The RCM role will involve developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with volunteers, including branch-based casework managers.  Additionally, the RCM will occasionally assist the Regional Casework Co-ordinators with call handling, signposting, and triaging initial client enquiries.

To help you establish yourself in this post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.  You will influence the processes and procedures within the regional office as it develops, working closely with a dedicated team under the guidance of the Regional Manager.

The position is home-based, but you will occasionally be required to travel within Scotland or to other locations.

About the team

The Scottish Regional Office operates as a "virtual" office, supporting 17 SSAFA branches across Scotland as volunteers deliver casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will join a support team that includes two Regional Casework Co-ordinators, two casework administrators, and a Regional Manager. All team members are homebased.

About you

To excel in this role, you should have a solid educational background and experience in managing employees, as well as overseeing and reporting on service delivery.  You should have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, achieving results through negotiation and influence.  Previous experience of working with volunteers would be advantageous.  You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard and be capable of learning a computerised case management system quickly. Additionally, you should be skilled with numerical data.

The successful candidate will be capable of planning and managing their own workload, with minimal supervision and have considerable experience of managing accounts.

It would be desirable to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. Role purpose

Purpose of Role

As Senior Fundraising Campaigns Project Manager you will take a key role in the planning and delivery of Comic Relief’s fundraising campaigns, developing project management best practices, managing project managers, and ensure the overarching planning, management and coordination of projects. The majority of projects will be related to fundraising activity but on occasion could also include other projects for our funding team, partnerships team and production team. The role will work with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure planning processes, project governance and reporting is developed and embedded into all fundraising activity, primarily as it relates to Comic Relief’s fundraising campaigns. 

Key responsibilities:

· Work with the Head of Campaign Strategy and Planning to track a portfolio of projects, taking on the project management responsibility for select projects, primarily Comic Relief’s fundraising campaigns (managing multiple projects at a time) 

· Develop project management best practice, evolving methods as needs arise. Ensure practices are followed across the project management team 

· Manage projects across a full project lifecycle, including project briefing, scoping, set up, governance, planning, task management, communication, coordination and tracking and reporting 

· Lead key strategic projects, including for large fundraising campaigns 

· Work with fundraising strategists to brief delivery team members and manage the delivery of fundraising activity that is executed by delivery team members spanning fundraising, PR, content production, finance, technology and data

About the role

As Guidance Programme Manager, you will lead the Guidance team delivering quality assurance and innovation of our clinical guidance and patient information resources. You’ll work closely with the Director of Clinical Quality and Senior Guidance Editorial Manager, and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including clinicians, patients, partner organisations and specialist societies.

About you

This position is well-suited to an experienced and inspiring Programme Manager to lead our Guidance and Patient Information team, a pivotal part of our mission to improve care for women, girls, and babies around the world.

Requirements:

• Experienced team leader
• Experienced in managing complex programmes or portfolios in a healthcare, academic, or charity setting
• Skilled in stakeholder management, especially in multidisciplinary or clinical environments

A qualification in programme or project management (e.g. PRINCE2) or equivalent experience is essential. Experience working with or developing clinical guidance and familiarity with women’s health are desirable.

About the role
We are launching the 2025-2026 Macmillan Clinical Fellowship programme. This is an exciting new programme, key in the implementation of our new ambitious 2025-2030 strategy.

The MDT fellow will be based in Centre of Clinical Expertise and be part of the core strategic group looking at Variation in Treatment and Care. Cancer MDTs are well established in the NHS as a core part of cancer care but significant variation in impact and efficiency exists and the role of the patient voice is often not prominent enough. The fellow will work across the organisation and form influential external relationships to support Macmillan to work with Health Care Systems across the UK to improve MDT ways of working.

This role will be both beneficial to Macmillan in helping to improve the lives of people living with cancer, as well as provide the successful candidate with a potentially career changing opportunity. 

The fellow will be part of a highly motivated, inspirational and supportive team and be given mentorship support throughout the fellowship. 

This role is being recruited to as part of a cohort of clinical fellows from different disciplines and will have different areas of focus around Macmillan’s core strategic objectives allowing for peer support and learning:

This is a unique retail opportunity where you will also be involved in delivering on the job training for Crisis members, supporting them to gain the skills and confidence needed in the workplace. You will work collaboratively with your team and will have opportunities to build your own skills and career progression.

Job purpose

As our marketing lead, you will develop and execute innovative and effective campaigns to help us achieve our strategic aims. Working closely with your colleagues in our small and friendly team, you will build strong relationships to ensure that you can deliver appropriate messaging and calls to action to our target audiences. Your work will play a key role in supporting income growth through effective marketing of income-generating products, and fundraising campaigns. • Establish an annual marketing calendar incorporating ‘always on’ and one-off campaigns.

Essential Criteria

 Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• A track record in, and passion for, marketing communications gained in either in-house or agency roles.
• Experience of planning, executing and evaluating effective marketing campaigns.

• Experience of creating engaging content for a range of platforms, which follows best practices and supports marketing objectives.
• Experience of agency, freelancer and supplier management, including the ability to brief and on-board new suppliers.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.

• Experience of working with digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, CRM and content management systems.

• Ability to build strong and effective working relationships internally and externally.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and in budget.
