Role Summary
Our Communications Officer plays a key role in our central Communications team, working collaboratively with colleagues to create impactful messages which are consistent, clear and well-framed. Through this work, you’ll support thousands of people across three key work programmes – Behaviour Change, Culture Shift and Information and Advice. You’ll have a particular focus on supporting people to share their experiences by working empathetically to gather and develop a diverse range of compelling personal stories on alcohol and alcohol harm, and working with colleagues to bring them to life across our channels. You’ll also play a key role in supporting the Senior Communications Manager with messaging across emails, our website and other digital channels. You will have responsibility for wider tasks across the team, including monitoring inboxes, creating reports and supporting colleagues flexibly, particularly during busier campaign periods.

Barnet African Caribbean Association is a small but long-standing registered charity dedicated to supporting older. Many of our members live with long-term health conditions such as the effects of stroke or dementia.
We run a weekly day centre on Tuesdays, where we bring people together to enjoy a hot meal, social activities and companionship. From exercise classes, arts and crafts, quizzes and games, to health visitor sessions, our programme is designed to promote wellbeing, reduce isolation and celebrate culture. We also provide advice, information and outreach support beyond the day centre.
Our mission is simple: to promote the wellbeing of our service users and help make later life fulfilling and enjoyable. Central to this is empowering older people to have a say in shaping the support they receive, setting priorities and making decisions that affect their lives.
As administrator and Clerk, you will be responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the Gospel Oak Youth Action Link Youth Club (GOALYC) board, including diary management and responding to letters and emails. The post holder will also provide support on matters of governance, finance, and policies, recruitment of trustees, and liaising with QCCA staff. The post holder will be working closely with youth services managers and the wider team, providing support to develop reports for the board. The post holder will be asked to visit several facilities and off-site events to make observations and ensure services delivered by the team are up to a high standard. The post holder will work with the Chair of the board and the QCCA CEO on planning, reviewing, organising, researching, implementing procedures and preparing reports. The post holder will have access to confidential information, requiring absolute discretion at all times.

MannionDaniels are looking to recruit an experienced Grants Manager (bi-lingual Portuguese- English) to support our Gavi CSO funding mechanism. The Grants Manager will need to have a background in health as they will be responsible for oversight of a portfolio of different sized grants, delivering immunization and health system strengthening programmes across different types of organisations and geographies. The Grants Manager will work collaboratively with technical colleagues to maximise results and minimise risk for a portfolio of projects. The role holder will support the performance and develop the capabilities of grantees and contribute to wider learning.
We are looking for people with either direct experience of working in the health sector in West and Central Africa, Mozambique or Angola and are fluent Portuguese speakers. The Grants Manager provides a focal point to coordinate the technical, financial, and operational support to each grantee throughout the grant management process. The Grants Manager will work closely with the wider grant support team to ensure grants move efficiently through the grant management cycle and to coordinate technical assistance for grantees. In addition, the Grants Manager will support the design and delivery of further Gavi projects implementing technical assistance to CSOs in specific thematic areas and countries.

Working with the Executive Director and Trustees, and with the support of a small, dedicated team, you will lead on WCCM’s financial strategy and planning, ensuring compliance with statutory and non-statutory bodies, working to maximise income and automate processes. You will also have responsibility for core organisational support functions such as HR, GDPR and Health and Safety. You will have significant experience in finance roles, with knowledge and experience of UK charity finance, and operational support functions. Occasional trips to France. Interest in Christian Meditation/Spirituality an advantage.
