A well-established Housing Association in East London is looking to take on a Rent and Service Charge Accountant for an initial 12 Month FTC. This association has a big impact in its community and creates an inspiring, inclusive place to work.
They are looking to bring someone into their collaborative team who comes from a housing association or property background with experience in both Rent and Service Charges (mainly Service Charges). This role is an interesting balance of Business as Usual and project work as they look to automate their processes and move from excel.
Responsibilities:
- To lead on end-to-end processes, including estimates, actuals and liaising with auditors
- Support on year-end service charge and rent calculations and speak to customers about their queries
- Assist in moving from excel based work to using a Service Charge Module and helping with the integration
- Managing a Service Charge Assistant and helping them improve performance
Requirements:
- Rent and Service Charge candidate, ideally from a Housing Association background
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Happy with day-to-day work and willing to get involved with the project to help automate and streamline their processes
- Good excel and system skills

Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have at least five years’ senior experience within a digital and performance marketing environment. You will have extensive understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and executing channel marketing at pace and efficiency. Knowledge of planning, executing and/or managing all digital marketing activities across SE, Email, Social and PPC is essential for this role. You will be highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that inform, educate, inspire and convince prospecting, existing and lapsed givers. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent influencing skills with donors, colleagues, and partners. You will possess a cultural awareness and be able to communicate sensitively within faith-based contexts.

The Britain Palestine Project (BPP) is seeking a highly organised, motivated, and values-driven individual to join our small, dynamic team as a Fundraising and Administrative Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting BPP’s fundraising and operational systems. You will manage core administrative functions, maintain donor databases and financial records, support the Board of Trustees, assist with international fundraising trips, and help build strong relationships with our growing network of supporters and donors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update CRM systems (Salesforce) and financial records (Xero).
- Provide administrative support to the Board and working groups, including scheduling and minute-taking.
- Support donor communications including donor pitching presentations (PowerPoint), Gift Aid administration, and donor stewardship.
- Coordinate logistics for fundraising trips to the Middle East and manage follow-up actions.
- Assist in drafting supporter emails, organising events and webinars, and managing digital content.
About You:
Essential:
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident multitasker with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong alignment with BPP’s mission and values.
Desirable:
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce), Xero, Mailchimp, or Canva.
- Background in charity administration, fundraising, or communications.
- Familiarity with Israel-Palestine and related humanitarian or political issues.

Location: This is a homeworking role with travel across the Central West and Midlands and to other locations, including our national offices in London, Birmingham, Warrington, and Belfast.
