Director of Partnerships and Engagement

About the Role 

A crucial role in the Network, you will need excellent communication skills to hold honest and respectful relationships with Youth Zone CEOs, senior leaders, Chairs and Trustees across the country. You will be as comfortable challenging Youth Zones as a ‘critical friend’ as you are being creative, bringing fresh ideas and encouraging innovation to support changing priorities across the Network. 

An experienced line manager, you will motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team to be high performing in their support of Youth Zones, ensuring the focus is always to build capability in the Network. And, you will be supporting Youth Zones in achieving their own ambitions and targets for young people’s engagement, aligned with the collective aspirations in our Network DNA. This will include more effective ways to increase engagement with under-represented groups of young people, such as girls and young women. 

About You 

You will have experience of holding highly effective relationships with Boards, CEOs and senior leadership teams, with the ability to influence to achieve shared commitment and direction. 

You will also have experience of: 

• Managing multiple work streams/projects at one time and meet various, demanding deadlines 

• Effective, multi-disciplinary team management 

• Working strategically to maximise engagement and drive high performance 

• Safeguarding, volunteering, systems and/or impact measurement 

• Working at Board level and an understanding of excellent charity governance

The Operations Officer will lead on the engagement of NHS Trusts as Approved Activity Providers across the UK, increasing opportunities for young people to volunteer in the health sector, to support the NHS and their local community

Whilst delivering this project, you will work alongside 4 other Operations Officers within the AAP team, who each manage a varied portfolio of AAPs for each Section of the Award. The role will be field-based, and applicants will work from home most of the time. This role will involve some travel to attend field-based meetings when necessary.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

Our Admin Assistant will be a core member of the team and will have the opportunity to engage with the many workstreams in the life of Methodism in London. We’re looking for someone who is a great organiser (of themselves and others), fab at administration, but you’ll also need some skills in IT applications. We value independent thinkers, working on your own initiative, but also those who can work collaboratively with a team, and bounce those ideas.

Our Sales and Delivery teams aim to drive and develop new and existing business relationships to contribute to our impact and financial objectives and deliver customer satisfaction, advocacy and loyalty whilst delivering exemplary customer service to all our Clients and Instructor Members in Training. A critical aspect to this is ensuring all the administration required from point of enquiry through to delivery is carried out accurately whilst meeting key deadlines. 

You will support different aspects of the customer journey and support with relevant processes including distribution of enquiries, keeping our in-house systems updated and supporting with Associate and National Trainer matching, ensuring all administration relating to these processes are completed effectively and within deadlines set.
