About the Role

You will be based in our office in Teddington and provide outreach and home visits to people living all over Richmond borough working within our team of experienced benefits advisors and volunteers.

The Benefits Service provides disabled people and carers with one-to-one confidential advice on disability benefits including support with form filling, application forms and appeals, outreach work and home visits.

As a Welfare Benefits Adviser, you will:

• Provide clear, accurate, and confidential advice on disability-related welfare benefits, including PIP, Universal Credit, ESA, and DLA
• Support clients with benefit applications, appeals, and refer on for tribunal representation
• Offer advice in person, over the phone, online, and via written correspondence
• Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide holistic support
• Help ensure that no disabled person misses out on the financial support they are entitled to

Our clients are often in very difficult and challenging circumstances. This role requires someone who is resilient, empathetic, organised and has attention to detail. You will enjoy empowering people and making people aware of their rights and entitlements. You will have a background in advice giving, with knowledge of welfare and benefits, particularly those for disabled people and carers. The work can be stressful at times with a lot of pressure and deadlines, however, this is a rewarding role where your knowledge and empathy can truly change lives.

Research, Advisory and Policy Department

The Research, Advisory and Policy (RAP) Department facilitates learning and provides guidance to improve peace policy and practice inside and outside Conciliation Resources. The team:

• Translate experiences of peace practice into innovative learning and thought leadership
• Evaluate impact of peace practice and build evidence of what’s working and what’s not
• Advance knowledge and methods for gender inclusive peace practice
• Mobilise policy change to facilitate and coordinate transformative peace practice

RAP is responsible for the Accord publication series and cross-organisational research programmes, thematic policy advocacy, and the organisational approach and technical support to Programme Departments on gender and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL). The RAP Department includes the CR EU team based in Brussels. 

Our approach to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)

Conciliation Resources’ approach to project design and MEL is rooted in a culture of evaluative thinking and knowledge-building. We use evidence and systematic reflective spaces to improve the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability of our work. We apply a gender perspective in our conflict analysis and evaluation methods. Our plans for MEL are contained within our Operational Plan under Goal 5: to develop evidence, learning and creativity, which is part of our Strategic Plan 2020-2025. 

Job Purpose 

We are looking for an experienced and creative Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Advisor to fill a vacancy emerging in our global MEL team. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as the successful candidate will play an important role in developing and rolling out a new MEL Strategy to align with Conciliation Resources’ forthcoming Strategic Plan 2026-2030.

The MEL Advisor will be responsible for providing technical advice in applying gender-sensitive and complexity-aware MEL approaches to develop CR’s peace practice, and in supporting organisation-wide Outcome Harvesting. The role would be well-suited to a versatile and creative thinker with a curiosity to adapt standard MEL approaches for the challenges associated with peacebuilding and mediation.

We want MEL to be useful for staff and partners. The MEL Adviser will draw lessons from evidence of achievements and challenges in our work to inform programme adaptation and support organisational strategy. Occasionally they may represent our experience and approach to external audiences.

As the post is a global role, the post-holder will be expected to provide remote and face-to-face technical support to Programme teams, MEL Focal Points and partners in different geographies, and to the RAP team in the development and implementation of their MEL plans. 

The MEL Adviser supports the Head of MEL in the delivery of Operational Goal 5 in Conciliation Resources’ Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and will continue to do so under the forthcoming Strategic Plan 2026-2030 and MEL strategy. The MEL Adviser will help to develop and maintain the systems, skills and approach required to deliver on this, and to embed these in organisational practice. 

Scope and Accountability 

The MEL Adviser is directly accountable to, and line-managed by, the Head of MEL and is a member of the RAP Department. 

They are accountable for maintaining systems to record and analyse data and for organising processes to capture and analyse change. 

They ensure the smooth running of organisation-wide evaluation processes, including CR’s Outcome Harvesting process, and evidence informed strategic donor reporting. 

They are responsible for providing specialist, technical advice and support to teams and partners on the design, development and implementation of their project MEL plans. 

They have a comprehensive understanding of our Strategic Plan, organisational results framework and Theory of Change, and of the nature of peacebuilding work and change. 

Person specification 

Essential knowledge, skills and experience

• Knowledge and considerable experience applying a range of complexity-aware design, monitoring, evaluation and learning concepts, tools, and approaches.
• Understanding of and experience in supporting adaptive programming, including approaches for how to monitor and evaluate adaptations. Experience of Outcome Harvesting or other participatory monitoring approaches an advantage.
• Experience designing Theories of Change for complexity-aware programmes, including monitoring frameworks and the critical analysis of data to inform adaptations. Experience of designing Theories of Change for social cohesion, mediation and/or peacebuilding programmes is an advantage.
• Ability to collect, manage and analyse quantitative and qualitative data in a manner that is sensitive to conflict-affected contexts.
• Knowledge of organisational practices such as partnership working, value for money and organisational learning.
• Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to participatory, gender-responsive and conflict-sensitive approaches.
• Appreciation of issues of confidentiality, cross cultural working, and political sensitivity.
• Experience of working with databases, handling diverse sources of information, and maintaining accessible and secure filing systems.

About the role

The Warehouse and Driver Assistant at Crisis is a varied and fulfilling role. You will work with the Warehouse & Facilities Manager to ensure a safe and tidy working environment at the Crisis Warehouse. In collaboration with the Resourcing Team, you will take control of the collection and delivery of donated and resourced food and equipment needed for the Christmas event. You shall act as key support to the Warehouse Manager in organising outgoing stock for the Christmas event and ensuring an accurate stock take once the Christmas event has taken place.

The role acts as a key contact point and support for teams of volunteers in the warehouse. Supporting the supervision of volunteers, including large groups of corporate volunteers is a key aspect in helping the warehouse run smoothly.

About you

• You should have experience in warehousing, delivery driving, logistics, event management or production.
• Have a personality which enables you to effectively communicate, with confidence, to a wide range of audiences.
• Feel comfortable when driving in London, in various size vehicles. Up to and including a Luton van, with a tailgate.
• Have a mind-set where problem solving, and basic mental arithmetic comes easy.

About the role

Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:

• Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.
• Supporting the administrative process of payroll and pensions, including with the database/system, ensure that any problems are identified with the relevant departments for effective resolution.
• Ensure Full Payment Submissions (FPS) within tight deadlines and process for all adaptations are carried out in a timely manner.

Partnerships Executive (Interim)

The Partnerships Executive plays a key role in developing CST’s commercial relationships. Their primary responsibility is to secure conference exhibition sales to meet budget targets and manage all aspects of the exhibitor experience from prospecting to on-the-day support, to post-event communications. They also manage listings in the Directory of Services and work closely with the Partnerships Manager to support the prospecting process.

Reporting to: Partnerships Manager

Key responsibilities

1. Ensure that exhibition sales targets are met for each CST conference.

2. Maintain the CRM for commercial organisations, including creating and managing prospect groups and executing effective exhibition sales campaigns.

3. Create and maintain relevant webforms.

4. Provide excellent end-to-end support for exhibitors, including in person at larger conferences to ensure that all exhibitors’ needs are met on the day.

5. Gather feedback from exhibitors on the quality of their experience and report on what worked well and areas for improvement following each event.

6. Maintain and update marketing collateral to support CST’s commercial activities such as brochures, floorplans, briefings and manuals.

7. Cross-promote the Directory of Services to exhibitors along with other opportunities to work with CST where relevant.

8. Manage the sales and onboarding process for the Directory of Services, including overseeing the references, undertaken by a third party, sending out agreements and liaising with the marketing team on the promotion of new suppliers.

9. Support the Partnerships Manager in the development of the commercial pipeline for CST partnerships by holding initial meetings with new prospects and identifying opportunities for engagement.

Purpose

To provide administrative and marketing support to the Head of Communications and the Director of Charlie Waller Workplace to facilitate the growth of both the Charlie Waller Trust and the Charlie Waller Workplace offers; charitable and commercial respectively.  

About the role

The majority of this role supports the development and coordination of activities in our paid for service, Charlie Waller Workplace. This service offers strategic consultancy and training to employers, managers and staff on how to embed a whole organisation approach to mental health and wellbeing at work.

We are looking for a highly motivated, confident individual who is able to quickly develop rapport and maintain effective, professional relationships with a varied client base. This role will suit an individual with a keen eye for detail, who has excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to engage with a varied range of stakeholders and to work independently. The successful applicant will be able to effectively balance competing demands, manage a range of diverse activities from administrative support, to coordinating some of our cross-programme projects, to engaging with our external clients and stakeholders.

Whilst experience, or a background, in mental health is not essential, we would expect the successful candidate to demonstrate an interest in this area, particularly in relation to the workplace. There will be opportunities to increase knowledge of this area by shadowing and directly supporting our external training and consultancy activity. This role is situated within the permanent office team at Charlie Waller, and you will work alongside other colleagues who directly support our communications, fundraising and charitable activity. Your key tasks however will be focussed on the needs of Charlie Waller Workplace, supporting the Director and workplace consultants.

As part of this role, you will be expected to update and manage social media and marketing activities for Charlie Waller Workplace. This will require creating content that showcases Charlie Waller Workplace’s services in a way that complements and co-exists with all Charlie Waller social media marketing.

With the support of the Communications team, you will be required to represent and attend events, create visual content (e.g. images, photography and video), draft and send out email marketing, update web pages and write short form content (e.g. social media posts, blogs and emails).

You may occasionally be required to attend off-site meetings; if these are outside office hours, time off in lieu will be given.

Key responsibilities

1. Fundraising

• To be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries that come in by telephone, email, post, and in person.
• Support the team by recording and sending fundraising materials to those raising money for us through events and challenge event.
• Ensure communications such as letters, certificates and emails are processed in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Provide support to the events, community, partnerships, and individual giving teams and their programmes of activity.
• To develop a good understanding of fundraising activity and to maintain the processes behind registration and online giving platforms such as JustGiving, Benevity, CAF, MuchLoved etc.

4. Information Management and other

• Using the fundraising database (Donorfy) ensure all activity and correspondence is recorded accurately, as well as supporting our team’s financial processes and data export needs (training will be provided).
• Be responsible for ensuring all records are added/maintained/updated on the fundraising database, and ensuring all contact preferences such as unsubscribes are updated accurately and in a timely manner.

• Continuously aim to improve the efficiency of administration processes necessary for the smooth running of the fundraising department.
• Create/update how-to guides within your area of responsibility.
