About the Role

As Volunteer and Training Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind the volunteer program. You will build a culture of recognition and ensure volunteers feel valued, supported, and equipped to thrive. In addition, you will support the co-ordination of staff training by implementing the training programme and management of budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver volunteer roles across the Youth Zone and implement a volunteer recruitment and engagement strategy
• Act as the primary point of contact for volunteers , be a role model for Volunteers, young people and the wider team, presenting a positive solution focused attitude
• Coordinate volunteer training and recognition programs, including appreciation events and Volunteers’ Week.

About the Organisation

This is a brand new locally run youth charity, and will be the first Youth Zone in Yorkshire.  It is set to provide thousands of young people with the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, try something new and feel safe. We have a new role available for a Part-Time Young People Case Worker to work as part of a team delivering a project that forms part of the North Tyneside Pathway and it is designed to support clients (16-24 year olds) who are at risk of homelessness within Tyne and Wear.

About the Role:

As a Young People Case Worker, you’ll work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community based accommodation.  The aim of which is to ensure that every client leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives. Working under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.

In accommodation based services you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

Where the client lives in the community you will ensure that their tenancy is not at risk and that they have the skills and resources to manage and maintain their accommodation.

Mid and North East Essex Mind is a mental health charity with an annual turnover of almost £3million. The Head of Finance and Compliance is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).  You will help to determine the future direction of the charity and deliver high quality services in line with our charitable, contractual and legal obligations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a small finance team including a Management Accountant and Finance Administrator whose responsibility is to produce high quality and insightful management information for managers, the senior leadership team and the Board of Trustees.  You will use your financial and analytical skills to assist with strategic and operational decisions across the organisation.

1. The Role

The Head of Audiences is a new leadership role in the Commercial Operations team designed to ensure that audience insight and segmentation are at the heart of everything we do. This role will lead on understanding who our current and prospective audiences are, how they engage with us and what they need now and in the future. You will use this insight to guide programming, marketing, visitor experience at Winchester Science Centre but as we evolve our Charity’s reach and engagement you will play an important role in ensuring we fulfil our ambitious plans and reaching a diverse community. By building an inclusive and evidence-based audience strategy, this role will enable Winchester Science Centre to grow reach and engagement, deepen impact and fulfil its charitable mission to inspire a lifetime of curiosity in science.

The role is part of the Commercial Operations team led by the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the Head of Programming and Head of Visitor Experience. However, you will work with the wider leadership and their teams to ensure that both the community programme and on-site experience are insight-led, responsive to audience needs, and relevant to a wide range of segments. Special Circumstances

We are looking for a Community Fundraising Lead to join the Supporter Led fundraising team at Scope.

You will be responsible for strategically developing and delivering Scope’s Community Fundraising income stream. You will lead your team in the development and growth of our community fundraising, including the development of do it yourself (DIY) fundraising products to support community fundraising efforts.

You will be responsible for setting and reporting on clear objectives and key performance indicator (KPI) milestones to deliver the community fundraising strategy. As EA to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), this role has a primary focus in providing comprehensive administrative support to the CDO, in collaboration with the wider Directors’ office team and the CDO’s direct reports. 

They will be responsible for delivery of smart and strategic diary management for the CDO and handling administrative tasks on the CDO’s behalf. This will be done in close collaboration with the key contacts (internal and external), including, where appropriate, acting as central point for preparation of related papers, meeting scheduling; comprehensive minute-taking may also be required. A key organisational focus over the next couple of years will be development and delivery of an accelerated digital strategy. 

The EA will play a central and strategic role in the organisation and oversight of the related administrative complexities, including invoices and expenses management, and diary co-ordination where required.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Considerable experience in an EA / PA or senior-level equivalent administrative capacity within an Executive environment (business or charity sector)
• Exceptional administrative and organisational skills, with a focus on complex and strategic diary management
• Excellent communication (in all mediums), interpersonal, and organisational skills, including building and maintaining key relationships in a senior space
• Proven experience in safeguarding sensitive and confidential information accordingly, with a core understanding of prioritisation
• Experience in formal minuting and report drafting

The LSO is actively expanding its digital offer through the work of LSO Live, Discovery and Marketing and is running a Digital Asset Management project to provide greater access to its digital content assets across the organisation and in commercial, non-commercial and academic contexts. 

The DAM will contribute to more efficient ways of working, help generate new income, enhance creativity across the organisation and assist LSO teams to find, collate and use a wide range of digital content generated by key stakeholders. 

To assist with this detailed and essential work, we are now looking for a Digital Archives Coordinator who will support the DAM system by ensuring the transfer of data is both accurate and in line with deadlines, working closely with several colleagues to agree the correct approach, whilst ensuring the DAM is championed across the organisation.

We are recruiting a Suicide Prevention Officer to facilitate the development, sale and delivery of high quality and impactful training and education programmes, upskilling individuals and organisations in suicide prevention.

What you will do:

• Facilitate in-person and online training sessions, ensuring interactive and impactful learning experiences.
• Develop and promote PAPYRUS’s training offer, tailoring to stakeholder needs and securing sales.
• Build relationships and partnerships to expand our reach and influence.
• Support the creation of e-learning and digital training resources.
• Prepare stakeholders for, and debrief them after, suicide interventions.
• Stay informed of best practice and national strategy, contribute to campaigns, and represent PAPYRUS in the media and at events.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A degree or professional qualification in a relevant field such as Education, Counselling, Training, Psychology, Community Development or Youth Work.
• A recognised training qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience in delivering and developing training programmes and community-based projects.
• Ability to manage sensitive conversations and facilitate learning in emotionally complex areas.
• Strong relationship-building, presentation and time management skills.
• Professional curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to safeguarding.
• Confidence in working independently and remotely, with ability to travel as required.

· Business Development: drive income generation and growth through identification and management of a pipeline of opportunities aligned to CXKs Growth and Development Strategy.

Job Summary

We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking finance leader to play a central role in shaping the future of the finance team at St John Ambulance. Reporting to the Finance Director (who reports directly to the CEO), this is a high-impact position at the heart of our finance transformation journey—ideal for a self-motivated, qualified accountant who thrives on change and making an impact.

As a senior leader within the organisation, you’ll be instrumental in driving the evolution of our finance function, leading and developing a large, multi-disciplinary team. You'll bring deep expertise across a broad range of finance disciplines and be excited by the opportunity to embed best practices, streamline processes, and strengthen financial governance.

This is more than a technical role—it's a strategic leadership opportunity. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organisation and externally, using your communication and influencing skills to shape decision-making and support our charitable mission.

You’ll oversee the delivery of timely, accurate management accounts and play a key role in providing high-quality financial reporting to our Trustees and Finance Committee. You'll also take the lead on our statutory audited accounts, acting as the principal contact for both internal and external auditors.

With additional responsibility for cashflow forecasting, treasury management, tax compliance, VAT, and gift aid, this role ensures St John maintains robust financial governance. While charity sector experience is an advantage, it's your passion for making a difference and your leadership in finance that will set you apart.

About You

• Educated to degree level with a full professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Significant post-qualification experience (PQE) in senior financial accounting roles, with strong technical expertise.
• Proven track record in producing annual statutory accounts and successfully managing external audit processes.
• Extensive experience leading and developing large finance teams within complex organisations, driving performance and accountability.
• Skilled in preparing management accounts, income and expenditure reports, and cash flow forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Demonstrated success in finance team transformation, implementing process improvements, and enhancing financial controls.
• Experienced in stakeholder engagement at all levels, including Board reporting, and providing expert technical accounting advice to support change and excellence.

About the Role

• Lead statutory and management reporting: Oversee the production of audited statutory financial statements and timely completion of the external audit. Ensure best practice in external financial reporting and take full responsibility for the accuracy and delivery of monthly management accounts.
• Own cash flow and balance sheet management: Lead the preparation of the charity’s monthly rolling cash flow forecast and ensure full ownership of the balance sheet, including timely and accurate reconciliations.
• Strengthen financial controls and working capital: Ensure effective financial processes and controls within transactional teams to manage working capital and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
• Oversee compliance and tax: Identify, manage and control financial risks, including tax compliance. Provide expert technical accounting advice and ensure the charity remains fully compliant in all taxation matters, including VAT and gift aid.
• Drive counter fraud and governance improvements: Act as the financial lead for the charity’s control environment and counter fraud framework. Champion improvements in fraud awareness, culture, and control.
• Manage key external relationships: Serve as the main contact for the charity’s bankers and investment managers, and act as secretary to the Finance Committee and Investment Advisory Group.
• Optimise treasury and investment performance: Lead treasury activities to maximise returns on working capital and investments, ensuring alignment with the charity’s strategic objectives.
• Develop team and performance culture: Foster a high-performing finance team through regular 1-1s, development reviews, and team meetings. Embed a strong performance management culture in line with St John Ambulance policies.
