Key Responsibilites:

Routine Financial Oversight

· Oversee all accounting, cash management, reconciliations and authorisation of payments.

The Operations Manager is a key role within the team, ensuring the effective and efficient management of the SLG’s three sites: the Main Gallery, the Fire Station and Art Block. This includes managing the maintenance and upkeep of the SLG’s Grade II listed buildings and artist-designed gardens, as well as leading the Front of House team to ensure that the SLG provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors and a high quality of visitor experience. 

The Operations Manager works closely with the Deputy Director and manages a team comprising two Operations Supervisors, the Gallery Technician and contracted and casual Front of House staff and Cleaners. About the role:

We are looking for an Assertive Outreach Worker to join us (on an up to 12 months maternity cover), stepping into a position that blends leadership, creativity and direct impact. In this role, you will hold a caseload of 15 clients across Westminster and temporary accommodation sites in boroughs across London, working as part of a close-knit, specialist team alongside four other Assertive Outreach Workers, a manager and a psychologist. Together, you will operate within psychologically and trauma-informed approaches, ensuring every interaction is purposeful, respectful and geared towards helping our clients take the next steps in their journey.

Your day will be as varied as it is rewarding - guiding clients to sustain their tenancies, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, engage with substance use support services, and access routes into employment. You will cultivate strong partnerships with local agencies, from statutory services to specialist providers, ensuring no opportunity for progress is missed. You will also play a crucial role in assessing needs, identifying risks and maintaining accurate, meaningful records that help shape the support we provide. This is not just a chance to change lives on an individual level, but to be part of a national project pioneering new techniques to improve outcomes for people facing complex challenges around substance use.

About you:

• Understanding and experience of working with the issues faced by people who experience mental ill health, substance use issues, and who have offending histories, in accessing the appropriate support from services.
• A working knowledge of best practice to support individuals who may be classified as ‘experiencing multiple disadvantage’ including Trauma Informed Approaches.
• Experience working as part of a multi-agency partnership to address complex problems and bring about positive change.
• Familiarity with relevant housing, health and social justice legislation, policy and best practice relevant to systems change and people with multiple needs.
• A good and current understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures.

This is a hands-on, operational role ideal for someone with significant experience of leading on communications activities, who thrives in a small team and enjoys delivering against long-term plans and managing day-to-day priorities. The Training Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the FFLM’s external training portfolio. This proactive and outward-facing position is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training solutions that meet the evolving needs of professionals in the forensic and legal medicine sectors. The role involves scanning the external landscape to identify emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities where the FFLM can lead by providing innovative, sector-leading education and training. Reporting to one of the Senior Philanthropy Managers, in this role you will manage a number of philanthropic relationships and make a significant contribution to the team through developing new initiatives and growing the portfolio.

The ideal candidate profile for this post will be a team player, with the following credentials:

• An established track record in philanthropy or fundraising for major organisations
• Demonstrated success in managing a portfolio of high value relationships with experience of personally securing significant gifts
• Ability to think strategically to devise relevant engagement and cultivation plans and identify opportunities for approaches to prospects
• A balance of experience and innovation to be able to develop new ideas and launch new initiatives successfully
• Credibility as an ambassador in the area of philanthropy, able to work effectively at senior levels and liaise with high-net-worth individuals
• Strong project management skills, with demonstrable experience of solving complex problems, drawing on given resources and collaborative working

A working knowledge of our repertoire is not a pre-requisite for this role but the ability to upskill quickly in our art forms in order to confidently speak to prospective donors is essential.
