Salary: (UK) £30,170 plus benefits (Our pay philosophy ensures consistency across locations and salaries. The starting salary for this opportunity plus benefits depends on location of the candidate).
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Partnerships Officer to join our team. Working alongside other team members, you will play a key role in enhancing the long-term financial sustainability and growth of Mary’s Meals. You will play a key role by providing support through the grant cycle specifically focused on the grant reporting and proposals to existing donors. You will also provide support on reporting and stewardship materials for corporate partnerships and high net worth donors, to meet the needs of our existing donor base and capitalise on opportunities that arise.
Other key duties include:
- Responsible for writing high-quality proposals and reports to a range of major donors, including corporate bodies, HNW individuals, trusts and foundations.
- Support the Partnerships Manager to research, coordinate, and develop strategic philanthropic giving opportunities.
- Provide ongoing support to funding relationship managers within MMI Partnerships team with a focus on major donors and across the Mary’s Meals network in developing relationships and influential networks with a presence in our programme delivery countries and beyond.
- Develop compelling written stories, resources and materials to support the communication and impact of our work
- Work with the Partnerships team to support and coordinate effective organisational systems and processes for the completion of funding pitches, proposals and reports.
- Conduct effective due diligence checks on existing donors and ensure procedures are in place for all partners.
- Maintain global pipeline of existing donors, with the opportunity to uplift and cultivate these relationships
With exceptional organisational skills, you will be comfortable working across multiple projects and coordinating contributions across all parts of the organisation and will bring relevant experience of designing and developing compelling funding proposals and reports. You will have strong writing skills with the ability to tailor your approach to a variety of audiences and bring the impact of our work, and our story, to life. You will be confident in your communications and will have the ability to engage in a variety of interactions with colleagues across the movement. Grants:

Identifying and researching trusts, foundations, and grant opportunities to add to the pipeline

Liaising with the Programmes team and others on the content of an application

Writing and submitting high-quality applications

Tracking and updating all submissions on our CRM (Salesforce)
Business development:

Generating prospect leads through desk-based research and identifying sectors and organisations to target

Contacting prospects and leading initial conversations

Responding to incoming requests from organisations

Represent Brightside at networking events

Writing bespoke and compelling proposals

Tracking and updating all relationships on our CRM (Salesforce)
Communications and marketing:

Working with the team to identify marketing campaigns and collateral to attract new leads

Supporting the creation of new content for the website, campaigns, and marketing

Maintaining and managing the website

Collating statistics on social media and website engagement

Supporting the delivery of campaigns to increase individual giving
Reporting:

Providing regular, accurate reports on progress related to income generating activity, including the pipeline, applications or prospects, and secured income

Monitoring progress of grants and business development

Inputting to the quarterly work plan and priorities
Team working

You will be line managed by the Income Generation Lead

You will work closely with Partnership Lead and other members of the Programmes team where relevant

You will work regularly with external freelancers responsible for marketing and social media
Essential criteria : To be successful in this role, you should:

Have at least 12 months relevant business development or fundraising work experience

Have demonstrable experience of email outreach and/or funding applications
