In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Assistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Programme Managers with overall team training and development.

Active participation in and support for church team and mission

• As the Spear programme is run by Junction Community Trust in partnership with St Mark’s Church, Battersea Rise, you will be required to establish a strong personal presence at the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Excellent communications skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external professionals.  A strong understanding of the apprenticeship and graduate development programmes, and talent pipelines. 

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects and maintain consistent follow-up.

• Confident in presenting to clients, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences (HR, L&D, operational teams, senior leadership). 

• Good negotiation and influencing skills. 

• Experienced in LinkedIn / LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting and building connections within early careers networks. 

• Proficient in Microsoft systems and CRM tools. 

• Knowledge of or interest in experiential learning, leadership development, and outdoor education is an advantage. 

 AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Secure mainly new and some key repeat business to meet personal, and team, quarterly and annual targets. 
• Lead on developing new partnerships within key industry sectors for Apprentice, Graduate, and Emerging Leader programmes. 
• Undertake client learning needs analysis to understand early career development goals and challenges. 
• Produce compelling proposals that align Outward Bound programmes with organisational objectives. 
• Represent Outward Bound at early careers events, conferences, and employer network sessions. 
• Maintain accurate client records via our CRM system and ensure timely follow-up and reporting.

Salary: £32,000 – £40,000, salary depending on experience

The Work Rights Centre, in partnership with the LEF Fellowship Programme, is looking for a Trainee Solicitor to join our ambitious and driven team. We are a charity set up by migrants and for migrants, and every day our multilingual team of legal advisers stand up for their employment rights and secure their immigration status. 

This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with a strong sense of justice, who is looking to build a career in a legal profession. This role will suit someone who values impact, and the opportunity to make a real  difference in the lives of vulnerable migrant workers and disadvantaged Britons.

You will be able to learn from three experienced solicitors, exercise your skills as an adviser, and progress your career in a friendly and supportive environment. The LEF Fellowship Programme will cover the cost of your mandatory legal training and exams. By the end of two years you will have had the chance to complete your SQE training and gain the required practical experience to fully qualify as a solicitor.

The role

As the Trainee Solicitor,  you’ll work on a stimulating range of issues across two wide areas of law -  Immigration (in Year 1) and Employment (in Year 2). You will learn how best to support vulnerable clients with limited English language and digital skills, how to spot signs of modern slavery or manage safeguarding concerns.

Working with our immigration team, you will help clients understand and secure their immigration status in the UK. You will support clients who have limited leave to remain (e.g. on employer-sponsored visas, Ukraine Visa Schemes, or pre-settled EUSS status) or who are entirely undocumented. Working with our employment team, you will work on cases involving non-payment of wages, non-provision of work, unlawful deductions, race and gender discrimination, or unfair dismissals. Crucially, you will have the opportunity to understand the real-life intersection of the two areas of law, as they are often experienced by the same clients. 

This is a brilliant opportunity to gain well-rounded experience across all stages of the legal process, including interviewing clients, collecting information and assessing evidence, taking down witness statements, providing over the phone and written advice, and collating evidence bundles. 

Alongside your legal work and SQE2 study, you will complete an independent social justice project aligned with your personal interests and objectives of the charity. This might entail legal research, sourcing strategic cases, or compiling data on the impact of the current policies. Working on this project will give you an opportunity to conduct strategic legal work contributing to systemic change.

About the opportunity

As Trainee Accountant, you'll play an important role in delivering a high-performing, efficient financial accounting operation with partnership and improvement at its core. This is an operational and developmental role, offered with the opportunity of pursuing a formal Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician qualification through an 18-month apprenticeship programme.

You'll be part of our Finance & Assurance directorate, reporting to the Associate Accountant and working alongside our accounting assistants and trainees. Under the guidance of experienced Financial Accountants, you'll learn and deliver the fundamentals of effective accounting. Your potential qualification pathway

You'll have the opportunity to enrol on a fully funded Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician apprenticeship programme delivered by BPP and studied in allocated time alongside your day job. This 18-month programme offers pathway options including ACCA, AAT, CIMA, or ICAEW, leading to recognised professional diplomas. This programme is delivered through online live lectures, three-monthly coaching sessions and 24/7 access to learning materials via BPP's Virtual Learning Platform.

This is a role where your success is built on strong collaboration across multiple teams. You'll have opportunities to undertake specific improvement projects, identify ways to enhance processes, and support colleagues across the organisation to operate within best practice when it comes to financial accounting.

About you:

You're someone with a willingness to learn and develop on the job, sharing your learnings with colleagues to foster whole-team development. You have an enthusiasm for a career in finance with ideas to help us constantly improve. You have strong numerical and analytical skills, and you're willing to proactively reach across to colleagues in different teams.

You'll need existing experience in a finance or bookkeeping function. This means you're already confident with fundamental bookkeeping principles, maintaining financial records, and working with basic accounting processes. You're comfortable asking questions, reaching across teams to solve problems, and sharing what you learn with colleagues.

You'll have:

- Five GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A to C), including English and maths, or equivalent, or relevant work experience (minimum requirement for Level 4 apprenticeship).
- Some existing experience in finance or bookkeeping - you should have completed a Level 3 qualification or have equivalent practical experience demonstrating competence in fundamental accounting principles.
- Willingness to learn and develop on the job, sharing those learnings with colleagues.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, and awareness of basic financial principles.
- Good grasp of data and how it can be analysed and presented to improve understanding, engagement, and performance.
- Experience of developing basic financial reports.
- Working interest in quality improvement in processes, analysis, communications, or customer service, and experience supporting it.
- Experience of problem-solving, preferably in a financial environment, and willingness to proactively reach across to colleagues in different teams.
- Enthusiasm for a career in finance and ideas to help us constantly improve.
- Some existing experience in a finance or bookkeeping function would be beneficial.

What you’ll focus on:

- Supporting the Financial Accounting team and wider directorate, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Supporting auditing processes, liaising with suppliers and third parties, and assisting with the preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Undertaking specific improvement projects across the directorate, for example around optimising internal engagement or directorate records and files.
- Monitoring and responding to daily communications from colleagues, role-modelling brilliant partnership and customer service.
- Data entry, report preparation, and supporting Financial Accountants and Associate Accountants with administrative work, including basic data analysis and presentation.

Rethink Devon and Torbay Advocacy Service is one of the partners in The Devon Advocacy Consortium (DAC). Our multidisciplinary advocates work in partnership with other local organisations across Devon and Torbay to provide specialist advocacy services for adults with a range of additional needs.

Rethink Langdon Advocacy is based on site at Langdon Hospital where all patients are detained under sections of the mental health act. The hospital supports men from South-West England who, because of their mental health needs, have had contact with the legal system and require a safe and secure environment where they can receive treatments, therapies, and care to help them recover. Our advocates work across the site providing Independent Mental Health Advocacy for adults detained in the hospital.

The Justice First Fellowship (JFF) is a two-year, fully funded legal training programme for aspiring social justice lawyers. Run by the Legal Education Foundation, JFF has supported 170 fellows since 2014, with most continuing to work in social justice law

Working Hours

Our children and young people need care 24/7 so we have fixed rotas with different shifts (8, 10 and 12 hours) from 8 am to 10 pm for day staff; and from 9 pm to 8.30 am for night staff.

You will be working 40 hours a week (including weekends and bank holidays), so meaning if you work 4 shifts of 10 hours each, you will then get 3 days off.

For Ealing location, you will be required to do an average of 2 sleep-ins per week paid at £50 each.

There is always the possibility to do overtime if you need a bit extra, this is paid time and half same as bank holidays.

About the Role

This is a hands-on delivery and coordination role working across the organisation’s two flagship programmes, Inside Job and Choirs Beating Time. You will ensure high quality and consistent delivery across prisons and in the community, supporting people with convictions into employment and purposeful lives.

The role is hybrid, with time split between home working, our Birmingham or London office, and planned visits to prisons and partners. Travel expenses are covered and visits are scheduled in advance. You must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.

Working closely with the CEO and COO, you will coordinate delivery activity, support Community Consultants, maintain strong relationships with prisons and partners, and use data and insight to help improve outcomes. Job Summary

You will work with the team to support the work of our Education Committee, Trainee Committee and Digital Learning Board. 

This is an exciting role for someone looking to get further hands-on experience in planning and executing a variety of educational events and activities and liaising with multiple stakeholders. Main Responsibilties 

Event & Course Coordination

• Lead on course and webinar registration processes, including delegate bookings, communications, data management and reporting, and producing delegate materials.

Our team of Customer Advisers are dedicated to providing a high-quality service to those in later life and are passionate about ensuring all callers receive the guidance and support they need. The team handles thousands of calls, emails and webchats each year. Some of these enquiries can be emotionally tough, but there is no better feeling than knowing that you have helped someone.

This role offers hybrid working between home and our offices in Blackpool and Ashburton (a robust home broadband connection is essential).
