New Citizens’ Gateway (NCG) is an independent, registered charity working in partnership with individuals and agencies to improve the quality of life for refugees and asylum seekers. As the Adult Carers Activities Coordinator, you will directly deliver our leisure break activity and training programmes. • To work with relevant professionals to deliver a programme of wellbeing activities, including yoga, Pilates and complementary therapies.
• To recruit, train, support and manage volunteers and paid sessional staff to contribute to the delivery of a selection of the activities and workshops.
• To research and continually develop the activities and training programmes to ensure it is responsive to carers needs.
• To create promotional material to promote activities and training opportunities to carers registered with Richmond Carers Centre.
• To work with Adult Carers Support Team Leader to ensure activities are within budget, achieving targets and meeting the requirements of funders.

The Senior Children’s and Families Pastor is a key role within the staff team at St Stephen’s.

We are looking for someone with a passion to see children (0-11s) and their families grow as whole life disciples of Jesus, with direct experience working with children, and proven strategic leadership skills, to lead this ministry into continued growth at this exciting time for St Stephen’s.

Currently there are 4 main strands to children’s ministry at St Stephen’s:

1. Church based kid’s ministry and discipleship

2. Community pre-school and families

3. School’s ministry (St Stephen’s primary and 2 other local primary schools); and

4. Parenting (building community and pastoral support).

We expect the director of children’s ministry to oversee all these strands but directly lead the church-based ministry and at least one other area.

The successful candidate will take responsibility and strategic oversight for all 0-11 ministry, leading the kids and families team (presently consisting of a part time community families pastor, and the Associate kids pastor, to be appointed.) and the recruitment and training of a large volunteer team.

Strategic and Operational Leadership

This is a permanent role with responsibility for supporting women and girls who are survivors of sexual violence, to navigate the criminal justice system. As an Multiple Disadvantage ISVA you will have a good understanding of what constitutes multiple disadvantages, disempowerment, or discrimination, and how they intersect with experiences of sexual violence. You should have experience of providing support to women with multiple complex needs, ideally within the Criminal Justice System. In addition to having excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills you should also be able to develop key relationships with external agencies. You should have demonstrable experience of working with survivors of sexual violence and of working in a trauma-informed way. We will provide clinical supervision, full training and line management, and the opportunity to develop your skillsets. Responsible to the Advocacy service Deputy Manager you will be a key member of the advocacy service, working alongside our ISVA’s and Case Workers in a busy and supportive team.

Main Purposes of Job and Key Tasks

We are seeking a highly organised and quick-witted Operations Officer to join our dynamic team at Spring Community Hub. The ideal candidate will have experience in operations or project management and excel at managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Brief role description:

The Marketing Manager will lead the delivery of high-impact, multi-channel campaigns that enhance engagement, drive fundraising initiatives, and strengthen support for our mission: to provide life-long, life-changing support, employment and training opportunities to Service leavers, veterans, reservists and their families. 
As we mark our 140th anniversary, this is a pivotal time for the Marketing Manager to lead a team of four marketing specialists to drive impactful campaigns and amplify the Charity’s presence across multiple platforms. You will work closely with programme managers across the business to identify marketing needs and opportunities, while working with the wider MarComms department to develop and deliver marketing campaigns, advise on the most effective delivery channels, and propose ways of enhancing the Forces Employment Charity presence.​

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Youth Outreach Worker in London for a new role within our UK Safeguarding on Transport Programme. This is a 12-month outreach pilot engaging and safeguarding young people in and around Waterloo Station, helping identify and safeguard young people under 18 years at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation, county lines, missing from home, homelessness or family breakdown. This role does involve working regular unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.

You will be working to identify and  safeguard young people alongside trained volunteers and by engaging with key partners such as Southwestern Railway (SWR) Met Police, Southbank Staff, Train Operators, Youth Service and other local stakeholders.

You’ll play a key role in the development of our UK Programme and part of a dynamic team delivering Railway Children’s programme in the UK.

What we’re looking for

You will have experience of successfully engaging and supporting young people and families as well as experience of working in an outreach or similar setting, in a creative and engaging way with young people with a range of needs and vulnerabilities.

Alongside this you will be able to work effectively with partners to safeguard young people, who can work with 3rd sector groups and the local community.

You will have completed relevant training, experience in safeguarding and in the issues relevant to vulnerable young and families. Therefore, you will be an experienced practitioner with an excellent understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures, who is able to work creatively, independently and within professional boundaries.

 AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work placements across North London. At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25.

Job Purpose

To support young people with disabilities aged 18 to 25 to progress towards and into employment.

The role will involve liaising with education professionals and employers and brokering new opportunities for supported employment, volunteering, and work placements. You will work with young people to provide specialist one to one coaching, assess, and develop their employability skills and support them towards their own goals and objectives. 

Working Conditions

This post is 35 hours per week. The post holder will occasionally be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.

28 days annual leave will be given in addition to normal public holidays. There is a TOIL Policy.

Principle Responsibilities

· Work with a caseload of individual young people to identify and support their aspirations for future employment and formulate plans to enable them to achieve their goals.

· Contribute to progress reports, reviews, open evenings and other events with education professionals, families, and young people

· Provide intensive 1:1 support in all aspects of employment support.

· Inform and work closely with the Employment Broker on the type of jobs that trainees want sourced, or job carved so that placements can be sought.

· Refer people for specialist advice and support 

· Secure voluntary work, work tasters and work experience placements for individuals to support their journey towards employment.

· Work with our experienced Service Delivery Team to deliver or co-ordinate coaching, and training as required.

· Support people in the workplace as required.

· Develop and maintain knowledge of the local labour market and opportunities relating to employment, work experience and volunteering.

· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local employer groups, statutory, voluntary, and private organizations to support the development of suitable opportunities.

· Engage with businesses that can create employment, volunteering, and work placements, including providing training / advice to employers as required.

· Identify any financial implications for individuals related to part time employment and disability benefits.

· Monitor the progress of individuals and keep appropriate records.

· Undertake necessary administrative duties relating to the role.
