We’re looking for a new Advisor to join us, with a focus on supporting residents in the Mansfield and Ashfield area. This is a rewarding role where every day you’ll make a direct, positive impact on people’s lives.

• Helping people maximise their income through benefits checks and advice
• Supporting people to complete benefit applications and, where necessary, challenge decisions
• Giving relevant information and signposting on other areas which impact on welfare benefits, such as social care, housing options, and local services

Role Summary

Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. Now it stands on the vibrant and exciting regenerated south bank of the Thames surrounded by cultural venues such as Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe and Borough Market, the offices of major companies as well as schools and diverse residential communities. The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide support to the Chief Operation Officer (COO) to assist them in the effective functioning of all governance, human resources and operational arrangements at the Cathedral.

Salary: Officer, Band C Level 1, £33,290- £35,289 per annum equivalent (depending on experience and skill level)

Thames21 is an environmental charity that works across London and the Thames Basin to deliver high-impact, nature-based solutions to the climate and biodiversity crisis by restoring rivers, while also connecting communities to their local green-blue spaces and inspiring long-term stewardship of them. 

Purpose of the job

We are seeking a skilled engagement officer to deliver an innovative programme of community-led river engagement activities in and surrounding the River Roding as part of a project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, ‘The Roding Rises’. This role will engage with groups from the urban and rural reaches of the river Roding catchment to co-design activities that support the delivery of The Roding Rises activity plan and encourage participants along an engagement pathway from awareness to participation and independent action. This role offers the post holder the opportunity to make a difference in diverse areas of London, with varying challenges and a range of ambitions.

The key skill for this role is being able to connect with and bring people together. The project relies on creating strong networks of grassroots organisations, community leaders and representatives from the public and private sectors, including councillors and politicians.

The key value for this role is curiosity. Being interested in people, able to ask questions, listen, and encourage them to get involved in whatever way they are able, will help you succeed.

You’ll thrive in this role if you can identify the strengths and assets of communities and individuals and create opportunities for them to flourish. A typical day is likely to involve keeping on track with what’s happening across the Roding catchment, meeting with key partners, being alert to upcoming network meetings, or delivering community events or activities. You might be working from home, or out of our offices in Bow or Guildhall, or be out and about with a community group or local organisation, co-producing an engagement event.

You might be posting on social media or updating the web page. You may be working on strategic, long-term plans to share the learnings from the project. You’ll be thinking both big and small on any given day!

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Work with The Roding Rises Project Team, local community organisations and representatives to co-produce and deliver an inclusive and culturally relevant programme of 21 events and activities over the three-year life of the project as part of the River Connections programme of events within The Roding Rises activity plan.

2. Work with The Roding Rises Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of the externally contracted River Testimonies and Roding Arts and Walking Festival and community co-development aspects of the Roding Masterplan.

3. Support community groups and partners with community-focused applications to the Roding grants scheme

4. In partnership with colleagues, conduct inclusive outreach activities that will engage a wide diversity of people with a range of backgrounds and life experiences, from both rural and urban areas in our core locations.

5. Build a catchment-wide community network, uploading details to Thames21’s CRM system in line with GDPR.

6. Collect and record qualitative and quantitative data on events and activities run, including written and verbal feedback from partners and participants, photos and numbers of attendees, keeping to GDPR requirements. Evaluate this information to develop the methods for engagement and inform future activities.

7. Carry out the administrative duties to run events, including conducting risk assessments and method statements, managing event registrations, liaising with local councils and community groups and maintaining and managing event equipment.  

1. Work with the Thames21 Training Officer to establish a group of volunteers who are trained in Thames21’s modules to maintain and monitor local sites. Includes supporting existing volunteers and assisting with building their capacity so groups become autonomous.
2. Represent Thames21 and The Roding Rises at relevant local forums and proactively recruit volunteers through in-person engagement events.
3. Maintain clear records of progress, ensure all administration and statistical information is kept up to date,
4. Work with Thames21’s Communications Team to promote the project, celebrate its achievements and learnings; ensure key milestones are recognised, funders are acknowledged, and volunteer opportunities are publicised.
5. Attend Thames21 Team Meetings and liaise with other Thames21 staff.

About the Role

A stimulating and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Practitioner Psychologist with a Forensic background. You will work alongside the Group Psychological Lead and other members of the team within our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) to deliver psychological services to residents and staff. In this role, you will apply your skills and knowledge in building new teams and expand our operational delivery within our IAP. You will play a strategic role in our organisational growth with new services, with a focus on shaping service delivery; offering specialist advice, supervising assistant psychologists and postgraduate research.

Our IAP's support people who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. They are given support and guidance to aid their reablement, resettlement and rehabilitation post prison. You will contribute towards them achieving goals necessary for their personal development and move on within the community. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing high quality psychological services, contributing to the delivery of Approved Premises aims as specified by the Ministry of Justice.
• Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
• Demonstrating clinical leadership by setting direction for the psychological service and driving high standards for quality, safety and ongoing improvement.
• Exercising clinical responsibility for residents’ psychological care, showing skill and judgement in selecting appropriate assessments and interventions.
• Consulting with other parties contributing to a resident’s diagnosis, formulation, treatment and risk management in the community.
• Create opportunities to collaborate with peers including AP-based psychologists nationally and OPD pathway psychologists delivering services to APs.

This is a new role within the Programmes Directorate to support the expansion of the Trust’s in-house impact evaluation. The Sutton Trust has an excellent reputation in this field with well-developed theories of change, robust evaluation framework and extensive data and feedback from programme participants. This role will be vital for delivering internal evaluation projects of Sutton Trust programmes, supporting with data collection and management across multiple platforms, contributing to and implementing our impact strategy and developing expertise in data analysis, project management, and data management.

The role will report to the Senior Impact and Evaluation Manager, alongside working with the Systems and Evaluation Manager, and others across the Programmes team.

Main duties

• Working with the team to deliver the Trust’s impact strategy. This includes analysing both qualitative and quantitative data on the Trust’s programmes, creating reports to communicate findings, supporting with the collection and management of impact and engagement data, and supporting on external evaluation projects.

• Working with colleagues across the Programmes and Development teams to support with reporting programme numbers and data requests to funders and other key stakeholders.

• Support the Systems and Evaluation Manager with the innovation and development of our Salesforce CRM platform and other data-gathering platforms to ensure the ongoing collection and maintenance of high-quality data.

• Work across multiple data collection platforms that gather personal data on applicants to programmes and post-programme feedback data, to ensure processes are effective, efficient, and GDPR-compliant.

• Develop expertise in Salesforce, data analysis, and evaluation methodology via project work, proactively seeking development opportunities, by keeping up to date with developments in the sector, and attending external conferences.

• Working with external stakeholders and delivery partners to deliver training and communication about the charity’s impact and data systems.

• Supporting the creation and development of Theories of Change for the Programmes team.

Person Specification

Over the past 18 months, a primary focus has been on cultivating several major partners to support our core services (Shout and The Mix) and the development of three new digital mental health products. We are now looking to focus on these key partners, while expanding our portfolio of new opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support with high value corporate partnerships, including the delivery of employee engagement activities and communications, fundraising events and challenges
• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship and identifying and maximising opportunities for wider engagement
• Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to steward and engage partners and prospects, including thought leadership, communications, events, volunteering and fundraising activities
• Support with business development, utilising Salesforce, Pearlfinders and LinkedIn to identify and track opportunities
• Support the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager to create proposals, offers and presentations for new and existing partners
• Manage team administration, including merchandise orders
• Build excellent stakeholder relationships, keeping key contacts updated and ensuring partnership renewals
• Work with Commissioned Partnerships and Trust and Foundations colleagues to identify cross and upsell opportunities
• Work with the Public Fundraising team to promote challenge events and identify opportunities for our corporate partners
• Collaborate with internal teams - including Public Fundraising, Commissioned Partnerships, Trusts and Foundations, Data Insights, Clinical, Marketing, Volunteer, and Finance - to coordinate engagement, insights, assets, and timely communications.
• Build relationships with new potential corporate prospects for 2025 to 2028 income opportunities.
• Build relationships with counterparts of other third sector charitable organisations who MHI may work closely with for partnership opportunities.

Person Specification

Essential

• 3+ years working with corporate partners, including building at least one new large corporate partnership
• 3+ years experience of working on community fundraising projects with the charity or through a corporate partner
• Experience of being highly organised, managing multifaceted partnerships in a charity setting, covering multiple projects and teams, and including reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with varying audiences, including corporate partners
• A strong interest in mental health and in data and technology, and an understanding of corporate partnership opportunities for the sector

Desirable

• Experience of using Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
• Experience of both face to face and virtual stakeholder meetings with high value corporate funders
• Experience of building employee and/or community fundraising events and opportunities

Camp Jojo is currently in transition. Over the first 8 years it has worked from one established site in Mersea, Essex; but we are now opening a second site (Nag’s Head Farm) near Appleby in Cumbria. The role of Volunteer Manager (Nags Head Farm) is to provide the management and administration of the key Volunteer sector of Camp Jojo, and to offer administrative support and feedback to members of the Camp Jojo Board in this regard.

The Volunteer Manager will be responsible for successful initial contact, recruitment, communication with and administration of volunteer for the Nag’s Head Farm camps, through to their successful placement at camp. They will also work closely with the Operations Manager: Families and Site Ops. (Nags Head Farm). They will be guided in their role with the existing managers at Ivy Farm, Mersea, Essex.

The primary task of the Volunteer Manager (Nag’s Head Farm) will be to oversee the whole process of Volunteer applications to camps at Nag’s Head Farm, and to maintain and develop databases in support of this. They will be the contact point for information and support throughout the Nag’s Head Farm volunteers’ pathway with Camp Jojo. In addition, they will attend and minute meetings which concern volunteer management, etc.

They may need to work flexibly; the demands will be seasonal, with many more hours needed through spring and summer than autumn and winter. They will also need to be present for the first day of the camps during the summer, which are mostly during the school holidays. The Volunteer Manager (Nag’s Head Farm) will have a varied and sometimes high-paced job environment. As such, they will need to handle multiple tasks, manage their own time well, and interact professionally

Purpose of the Role

Manage and support a caseload of volunteers to empower vulnerable families in giving their children the best start in life, occasionally providing direct support.  Contribute to volunteer recruitment, training, development, and the effective day-to-day operation of the organisation

Key Responsibilities. As a HSH Co-ordinator you will:

• Carry out initial home-visits and support families to set and monitor goals
• Match volunteers with families according to need and capacity
• Assess the suitability and complexity of referrals, liaise with referrers for additional information, and support onward referrals
• Supervise an appropriate caseload of volunteers and enable them to support families
• Monitor safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Operations Manager/Director as needed
• Contribute to the delivery of the Volunteer Preparation Courses
• Contribute to recruiting, selecting and preparing suitable volunteers
• Support the evaluation of the impact of HSH’s volunteering programme and family support
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key health partners, including those from Parent Infant Mental Health Teams, Midwifery, IAPT, Perinatal Teams, Health Visiting and other groups

SAFE! Support for Young People Affected by Crime is a dynamic Oxford based charity working across the Thames Valley.  We are looking for experienced practitioners based in the Thames Valley and the surrounding areas to provide support on a freelance basis to young people and parents/caregivers across all our services.
