Just over a year ago, Children Not Numbers was founded in response to the unprecedented crisis facing Palestinian children in Gaza.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to support our growing and ambitious fundraising team. This diverse role is key to helping us raise vital funds through individual giving, community fundraising initiatives, and challenge events. You’ll support the smooth running of our regular giving programme, handle general fundraising administration and ensure excellent supporter care and team efficiency. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you:

• Have 1+ years' employment within a charity or NGO, ideally within a fundraising team or an international development organisation.
• Reside in the UK  and hold right to work status
• Are already set up, or are able to set up, in order to fulfil a contractor role (this is not a PAYE employee position)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support the Area Manager / Operations Director in ensuring the Charity’s development and growth in ways that are relevant and in line with operational services and charitable objectives.

To ensure the Charity achieves its aims and objectives and fulfils its operational plan effectively by providing high quality intervention, providing person centred support for at-risk young people.

To have key responsibilities in reducing risk and delivery of our Shaping Futures Intervention this is our Short-Term Intervention Programme (STIP) in Buckinghamshire.

This project is funded for the next 18 months, we will be working closely with partners to extend this funding agreement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate onboarding of young people, including the initial assessment, and developing 12 individualised sessions bespoke to each young person.
• Ensure a 12-week programme is written and sent to the young person with agreed outcomes after initial meeting.
• Responsible for a case load of young people up to 20 young people at any one time.
• Lead sessions and activities with appropriate resources to empower young people to make more positive choices to reduce violent behaviours, reduce risk of exploitation and other offending behaviours.
• Support the multi-agency network for the young people you are working with. Report any safeguarding concerns to the DSL, with support from your line manager.
• Work in partnership with the Operations team to develop opportunities in line with the intervention if needed.
• Attend stakeholder meetings where needed.
• Uphold Caudwell Youth’s values
• Effectively report to your line manager complaints and compliments relating to the programme
• Build knowledge of local strategies, linking in with network forums.
• Develop relationships and partnerships with local employers, benefit agencies, training establishments to enable opportunities for young people.

Administration:

• Maintain an excellent standard of administration, record keeping and reporting of all work undertaken in line with data protection and Caudwell Youth’s policies and procedures.

Partnership and Liaison:

• Work closely with the team and the stakeholder steering group to promote good communication and shared focus.

What you’ll do 
As a Wellbeing Practitioner you will work in partnership with schools, children and families to assess and respond to the psychological needs of children experiencing social, emotional, mental health or behavioural difficulties through undertaking assessments and providing interventions. The post-holders will also: contribute to workshops, support to school staff in the identification of mental health needs of children and accessing appropriate resources; and actively contribute to outcome monitoring and service improvement. You will build relationships with peer/senior members of staff, service users, partners, other services, schools, commissioners, as well as other external agencies with families being the main point of contact. You will also deliver consultation, training, and workshop to non-mental health staff, such as teachers and social workers with other clinicians in the service.

What you’ll bring 
You will have a qualification in psychology or other discipline related to mental health to deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people.

Essential skills and experience:

• Experience of working therapeutically, implementing interventions and using routine outcome measures in therapy with children and you people in community or school settings including Looked After Children and young people;
• Experience of working cross-culturally as well as thinking about cultural issues in relation to clinical practice;
• Experience of maintaining appropriate records and have good awareness of confidentiality and current childcare and safeguarding legislation, policy and practice;
• Ability to form good working relationships in a multi-disciplinary setting and work independently where necessary;

Livingstone House is a 24 hour staffed 92 bed mix gender hostel, which provides short term supported housing for single homeless vulnerable people with Low to Medium support needs. Look ahead provides the support function and Riverside provides the housing management and night concierge. The Service provides on average 5 hours of weekly support to customers who reside in the hostel with the aim to provide them with the tools to move on within the community and live independently. On occasions, we may need support within our scattered sites based in Brent.

The Shift pattern of this role consist: 8am -4pm and 1.30pm - 9pm. Over a 7 day rota with 2 days off with weekend working

About this key role

Our successful candidate will provide line management support, guidance and coaching to two administrators, ensuring their responsibilities are clear and that they are supported to carry out their roles, plus provide positive and proactive peer support to Admin and Coaches to ensure that data is collected reliably and consistently.  You will also manage the allocation and appropriateness of all referrals coming into the Eastern region CRS service and ensure all referrals are accurately recorded, plus coordinate the data collection across the Eastern Region Criminal Justice contracts.
