About the role:
This role is based at the National Contact Centre, Cardiff.
As a Team Leader you will:
- Provide leadership, advice and guidance to the 24/7 team and monitor the progress and quality of work across the contact centre.
- Monitor queues, workload of staff and demand of all service against resources and move staff between these services to ensure the needs of the business are met. Analysing resources and trends changing staffing levels to meet the demands.
- Develop your team and address their individual development/performance needs, set individual and team objectives and undertake annual appraisals.
- Be the point of escalation for complex and sensitive cases, queries and complaints, as well providing support to the team by resolving problems, providing advice and undertaking initial contact, risk and needs assessment with victims and clients.
- Provide safeguarding advice and guidance to all staff at the NCC and across VS via the National On Call Service and participate in the on-call duty rota.
- Provide a high level of emotional support to callers in crisis with complex and enduring mental health issues and suicidal ideation.
- Promote effective communication channels including coordinating and facilitating regular team meetings, sharing feedback and learning to share with other colleagues.
- Participation in the on-call rota is a requirement of the role, and will be discussed at interview.
You will need: -
- Experience of managing and supporting a team and individuals, including performance management, one to one's and staff development.
- Experience of supporting victims and vulnerable people.
- Experience of providing Safeguarding Advice to a team
- Understanding of the Criminal justice system and the impact of crime on victims and witnesses.
- Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service delivery.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all data protection requirements.
- The ability to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting professionally with a range of agencies and individuals.

The Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Fundraising & Donor Care Administrator to join our fundraising team. This role is central to ensuring excellent donor care, accurate income processing, and maintaining high-quality data records. You will work closely with the Donor Care & Supporter Experience Manager to keep operations running smoothly across all fundraising streams.

Key Responsibilities

Our Supported Accommodation and Emergency Accommodation Service is funded to provide support to those with multiple and complex needs who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness, located in close proximity within Gateshead:
- Two supported housing sites; one 8 bed, one 6 bed, both staffed 24 hours.
- Six self-contained properties forming the emergency accommodation element of the service.
We are seeking a Night Support Worker for the Supported Accommodation element of this service.
Our properties are places of safety, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), from which we work with individuals. We aim to provide accommodation and support that helps people find self-worth and the belief that they deserve a better future, before moving them on safely and successfully, therefore reducing homelessness and the on-going risk of homelessness.
To join us you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the complexity of needs related to homelessness, especially mental ill-health, alcohol and substance misuse and offending. You will be able to lone work effectively, working calmly under pressure, with excellent inter-personal skills, including de-escalation and the ability to effectively and professionally communicate. You will be able to use your initiative, and work flexibly in a demanding environment, and be able to manage the safety, security and support of people living in the service overnight.

The Role
The Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for staff and visitors, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience through face-to-face interactions and telephone communications.
Collaborating closely with the Facilities Manager and job share partner, the role involves efficiently handling queries, managing the reception email account, and coordinating visitor bookings and parking logistics.
Responsibilities also include overseeing incoming/outgoing mail, facilitating large-scale mailings via the Royal Mail online system, managing publications on behalf of the Communications team, monitoring, and replenishing stationery supplies, and producing access cards for new team members and contractors.

Overview of key areas of responsibility:
Leadership
- Provide line management support and supervision to wellbeing workers (e.g. counsellors, practitioners, therapists, link workers and trainees).
- Work alongside a team of leads to support the running, development and management of the service.
- Lead induction, mentoring, and training of new staff, trainees, and volunteers.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience
- More than 2 years post-qualified at graduate or post graduate level Counselling Diploma or equivalent [of two years minimum duration including personal counselling or psychotherapy].
- BACP Registration or Accreditation and/or eligible for other Professional Accreditation e.g. UKCP/HPC.
- Strong team-management and line-management experience is required, including demonstrated experience in supervising, developing, and supporting staff.
- An in depth understanding of counselling theory and practice and working to short-term models.
- A sound understanding of child developmental processes, Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding issues and procedures, along with proven experience in safeguarding young children.
- Solid experience in delivering counselling and assessment, along with experience with high-risk/complex cases.

Job Profile

I'm partnering with a well-established community charity in North West London to recruit a Specialist Debt Adviser for an impactful, resident-focused project. This is a brilliant opportunity for an accredited adviser who wants to deliver high-quality, FCA-regulated debt advice as part of a supportive, community-centred team.
Working on-site three days a week, you'll provide comprehensive casework support to local residents - helping people stabilise their financial situation, maximise income, negotiate with creditors and access the wider wellbeing, training and support services available through the charity and its partners.

Emmaus Overview
Emmaus is a community that provides accommodation and work for vulnerable people. We are committed to providing support while promoting independence. Staff and volunteers must work closely with Companions while observing appropriate professional boundaries in performing their role. They must also learn and engage with the Emmaus ethos.
The key task for this role is to manage a caseload of up to 16 Companions and to ensure that new companions get the information and support they need to help them settle in quickly and easily to the community and to working in our charity shops, warehouse and delivery / collection service. The support worker role is central to the team and close teamwork is essential.
The support worker will undertake direct support work with companions. Each companion has a personal support and development plan to help them achieve their personal goals and ambitions, in compliance with our Emmaus ethos, strategic aims, organisational objectives, policies and procedures.
