The post-holder will be responsible for deliver a range of support interventions for people newly diagnosed with HIV, and those re-engaging in their HIV care, who may be identified via Emergency Department Opt-Out testing in Liverpool.

Responsibilities

The role

CGL’s Business Development Team is a large national team. This role will sit within a smaller specialist services sub-team, who have responsibility for retaining existing specialist contracts and winning new business opportunities.

You will work with a small group of bid writers to oversee all aspects of the tender process. You will also have responsibility for pipeline management and work closely with our services and operational colleagues to navigate processes under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) regulations.

You will work collaboratively with people who use our services, front line staff and managers, clinicians, departmental leads and senior stakeholders including Directors, to develop service delivery models, budgets and partnerships for tenders and proposals.

You will have the opportunity to visit and engage with our staff and service users across the country, to learn about our services and specific local needs and challenges.

As a leader within our national Business Development Management Team, you will lead on improving the quality of our work and developing our team culture, thinking creatively, sharing your own knowledge and experiences, and challenging existing ways of working.

Ultimately you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of our services and will help us to deliver on our organisational mission, strategy and values.

About you

You’ll be a highly competent project manager, with proven experience of leading and managing complex tenders and other projects in related fields.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support the Area Manager / Operations Director in ensuring the Charity’s development and growth in ways that are relevant and in line with operational services and charitable objectives.

To ensure the Charity achieves its aims and objectives and fulfils its operational plan effectively by providing high quality intervention, providing person centred support for at-risk young people.

To have key responsibilities in reducing risk and delivery of our Shaping Futures Intervention this is our Short-Term Intervention Programme (STIP) in Buckinghamshire.

This project is funded for the next 18 months, we will be working closely with partners to extend this funding agreement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate onboarding of young people, including the initial assessment, and developing 12 individualised sessions bespoke to each young person.
• Ensure a 12-week programme is written and sent to the young person with agreed outcomes after initial meeting.
• Responsible for a case load of young people up to 20 young people at any one time.
• Lead sessions and activities with appropriate resources to empower young people to make more positive choices to reduce violent behaviours, reduce risk of exploitation and other offending behaviours.
• Support the multi-agency network for the young people you are working with. Report any safeguarding concerns to the DSL, with support from your line manager.
• Work in partnership with the Operations team to develop opportunities in line with the intervention if needed.
• Attend stakeholder meetings where needed.
• Uphold Caudwell Youth’s values
• Effectively report to your line manager complaints and compliments relating to the programme
• Build knowledge of local strategies, linking in with network forums.
• Develop relationships and partnerships with local employers, benefit agencies, training establishments to enable opportunities for young people.

Partnership and Liaison:

• Work closely with the team and the stakeholder steering group to promote good communication and shared focus.

• Represent the Charity to other organisations, funders and supporters.
• Establish and develop good relationships with other charities and agencies to increase partnership and effective joint working where appropriate.
• Be a point of contact for referrers and external contacts as regards to activities and service provision.
• Maintain strong working partnership with Thames Valley Police and Buckinghamshire Council to deliver the Shaping Futures Programme.

Job Description

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Digital marketing and strategy

• Oversee the delivery of the digital strategy.
• Alongside fundraising colleagues, the Social & Paid Advertising Manager, and an external agency, play an active role in the strategic priority project to upscale digital ads and performance marketing to drive income.
• Oversee the social media for organic reach and engagement and developing fresh approaches as algorithms change.
• Oversee the delivery of our email marketing, increasing email engagement, boosting income, and improving retention.
• Oversee the website, ensuring all web pages are written for digital audiences and fully optimised for search.
• Oversee planning for cohesive integrated campaigns that roll out across our channels.
• Provide analysis and monitoring of digital activity, using data and analytics to inform future campaigns and content strategy.
• Ensure budget is allocated efficiently and delivering value.

Sharing knowledge and best practice

Team management

• Manage and coach team to produce high quality digital content that's on-brand designed to increase reach and engagement with target audiences.
• Develop direct reports through reviews, setting objectives and identifying training where needed.
• Motivate team members to deliver excellence in everything they do.

• To coordinate the Sparkhill Child Friendly Neighbourhood Youth Advisory Board, ensuring young people are empowered and enabled to participate, to act on issues that are important to them and ensuring that they have ownership of the group and the activity that develops from the group.
• To lead, develop and sustain a 'Springfield Voices’ panel that enables co-production on a local level of new activities
• To represent the Springfield Project at external stakeholder events
• To ensure effective monitoring and evaluation processes are in place to ensure continuous improvement of services and activities
• To develop and coordinate relevant communications campaigns and engagement projects, including physical and online comms and marketing
• To coordinate Community Events ensuring the involvement of the community in the design of events
• To develop project proposals and provide evidence to support fundraising activities based on the wishes and needs of the community
• To develop and test new activities co-created with the community in response to community need
• To facilitate the Place of Welcome group, ensuring that the Place of Welcome provides a welcoming environment for all participants, in line with written procedures covering registration, recording, food provision, coordination of volunteers

· To support visitors from partner agencies to operate in the space by agreement

• To manage incidents, accidents and complaints in line with Springfield Project policy
• To liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator around recruitment and induction of volunteers

The Role

As a key member of IIED’s Strategy and Leadership Council (SLC), the Director of People will play a critical role in driving organisational transformation, embedding our values and supporting a collaborative, high performing culture across our globally distributed team. Working in partnership with leaders and teams across the Institute, the role will lead a team of dedicated Human Resources and Organisational Development professionals supporting the organisation to make progress against our ambitious strategy - Manifesto for a Thriving World.

This senior leadership position combines strategic vision with HR operational excellence. You will lead the development of people-centred strategies, workforce planning and change management initiatives that drive organisational performance and promote inclusion and wellbeing.

Other responsibilities include

-Providing strategic leadership across all areas of people and culture, aligned with IIED’s values and Manifesto
-Being a trusted advisor on all people matters
-Delivering KPIs related to people, culture, equity and wellbeing using evidence and analytics to drive continuous improvement
-Ensuring legal compliance and excellence across all People operations, including recruitment, employee relations, and reward management
-Working in partnership with the union on strategic organisational change and development

About You

To be considered as our Director of People, you will need:

-Demonstrable senior level HR leadership experience with outstanding leadership, coaching and relationship building capabilities
-A strong track record of delivering inclusive and values-led HR practices
-Proven experience leading and embedding wellbeing and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
-Experience supporting and embedding cultural and behavioural change within complex, ideally international, organisations
-In depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices, ideally combined with knowledge of international legislative frameworks
-Successful experience of translating strategy into practice, led by people-centred design and grounded in the experience of diverse stakeholders
-A sound understanding of HR Information Systems and the use of people data/analytics
