What You'll Be Doing

You will be joining our Asset Management Team, a friendly group of 16 people, who provide a high-quality service to our Housing Support colleagues and our Clients by repairing, maintaining and investing in our properties.

A little more about your day as a Fire Safety Project Manager:

• To be the main point of contact to address any issues around fire safety in our properties which needs further on-site investigation around repairs, maintenance, or any other property related matters.
• Programme and manage the delivery of Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Strategies for our property portfolio.
• Investigate any Health and Safety issues under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
• Assist the Contracts and Compliance Manager to ensure we remain compliant at all times.
• Compile specifications for all passive and active fire safety works, procure, and ensure works are delivered to the required standard and within the specified timescales, inspect work during and at completion, and arranging payment for work.
• Request or raise orders for works to external contractors or In House Repairs Team, and ensure work is completed to the required standard and within the specified timescales.
• Have regular contact and meetings with Transform’s Inhouse Repairs Team, external contractors, and Consultants to monitor quality and delivery of work, along with performance.
• Have an overview, monitor expenditure against budget, and have input in identifying future repair needs or programmes of work.
• Use appropriate equipment provided to carry out inspections and take photographic evidence as required.
• Provide guidance and advice to residents, staff, contractors, and external stakeholders regarding the outcome of any inspection or work carried out, and if applicable what further action is needed.
• Attend meetings and compile reports as required on any matter following an inspection, which may include any incident, complaint, or disrepair.
• Use IT systems to locate property information, raise repair orders, monitor works, record completions, and obtain reports as required.
• Follow policies and procedures, and where appropriate recommend any changes to improve the way inspections are conducted and what information is collated.
• Keep up to date with current legislation, guidance and good practice within the sector and Property maintenance and management.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience delivering FRA programmes or similar fire safety compliance projects.
• Strong understanding of fire safety legislation, standards, and regulations.
• Experience managing contractors and consultants to deliver compliance works.
• Considerable knowledge of fire doors, passive fire protection and remedial fire safety measures such as detection and alarms.
• Demonstrable project management and contract management experience.
• Strong IT skills and ability to manage compliance databases.
• A driving license and access to a car.
• Minimum of HNC/HND in a related discipline required to carry out this role, or equivalent.
• Relevant qualification in fire safety, surveying, construction, or property management.
• Recognised FRA qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Safety, Fire Risk Assessor certification).
• Building construction and property knowledge
• Good understanding of building pathology and identifying building defects
• Qualified Fire Door Inspector
• Experience working in social housing, supported housing, or residential property sector.
• Knowledge of wider asset compliance (gas, electrical, asbestos, water).
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IFSM, IFE, ASFP, CIOB, RICS).
• Awareness of Landlords responsibility around health and safety and statutory compliance
• Knowledge of different residential building types, construction, and design.

The role

The volunteer officer will report to the volunteer manager.

The purpose of this role is to deliver the coordination of the operations of the charity’s volunteers ensuring that they have the best experience possible.

Finance and Operations Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR

Overseeing Operations at every level of the organisation, with line management responsibility for some of the team, Project and Workstream Coordinators (approximately 5 direct reports) plus some external consultants and contractors.

LOCATION OF THE POST HOLDER 

The post holder will be predominantly remote working but will be required to attend the head office and drop-in in Manchester, drop-in spaces in Glasgow and London, and support staff members nationally. The post involves some travel throughout the UK and some work outside of office hours.  All equipment required for remote working will be provided and costs for travel will be covered.

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a Finance and Operations Manager to support the CEO in the day-to-day running of our charity. The NUM CEO develops the overall vision of the organisation, while the Operations Manager is responsible to carry out the vision. 

To be successful in this role, you should have experience as a manager in a position of public trust, have excellent financial, organisational, and communications skills, as well as being a problem-solver with work experience in high-pressure work environments. The Finance and Operations Manager must be versatile in their understanding of the larger vision and as well as the fine details and tactics needed to achieve NUM's goals.

The successful candidate will work in an agile manner to ensure the charity continues to be proactive and innovative, while also being responsive to the changing landscape within the sector and the international sex worker rights and safety movement. As part of supporting the operations of NUM, the successful candidate will provide resources, information and support to NUM Managers and Coordinators across diverse projects, workstreams and teams, to achieve aspects of the organisation’s mandate of 'ending all forms of violence against sex workers' and eliminating the conditions that lead to poverty and survival sex work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

• At least 3 years' work experience as a Manager, Project or Programme Manager or similar role that requires oversight of a whole system, business, operation or organisation Experience leading remote or hybrid teams is desired. This includes time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, lead team meetings and support members to manage resources, timelines and project budgets, etc. 

• At least two years’ experience in grant writing and fund development, as well as in financial management, with a demonstrated ability to co-develop budgets, cashflow forecasts and financial reporting as well as oversee banking activities and work with accountants and Trustees to ensure NUM’s financial health.

• Knowledge of the charity sector, the day-to-day running of a charity, business or similar organisation, and familiarity with the work of National Ugly Mugs and other sex worker-serving and sex worker-led organisations.

• Excellent leadership and delegation skills and experience. 

• Ability to support and execute on elements of NUM's policies and strategic plan. 

• Experience and training in Safeguarding and the ability to integrate appropriate safeguarding into all aspects of NUM services.

• Exemplary critical thinking and problem-solving skills and experience.

• Excellent IT skills and familiarity with CRM systems, applications and digital platforms and services, particularly Google Workplace, QuickBooks, the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Slack, Trello, and other project management programs and tools.

• Experience in Human Resource Management and monitoring performance across diverse teams. 

• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to engage in knowledge translation within NUM and with external partners, funders and other stakeholders.

TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester are currently recruiting a trauma-informed, person-centred Counsellor to deliver essential and life-saving counselling for survivors of rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse. The Counsellor will be engaged in a sessional contract with TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester, with a minimum commitment of 4 sessions a week for 1 year. Join the award-winning Moving Medicine team, led by the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK. We're seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead two impactful patient-centred physical activity projects.

About the role:

Moving Medicine is an award-winning initiative of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK (FSEM) aimed at improving health through physical activity. It provides healthcare professionals with practical tools and evidence-based resources to promote physical activity in clinical practice. Moving Medicine is our free, award-winning initiative, designed to provide clinicians and allied health professionals with accessible, evidence based, condition specific information to help give advice on physical activity at all stages of a patient’s treatment pathway.

We are expanding our impact through the development of additional Moving Medicine resources for patients. This role will include project managing two large, interlinked projects, with time split across both:

One project is in conjunction with Nuffield Health, the project funders, will initially focus on publishing the newly built Moving Medicine Everyone website (due for publication in November 2025) and accompanying educational resources. The Project Manager will work closely with Moving Medicine clinicians, healthcare partners, stakeholders, and academic collaborators. A key aspect of this role will be to coordinate stakeholder engagement, facilitate collaborative input from academic and clinical experts, and support the demonstration of social impact through evaluation and dissemination activities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in aligning the project with strategic goals, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining strong relationships.

The other project, Moving Together, is a national collaborative initiative led by the FSEM in partnership with Active Partnerships National Office and funded by Sport England (National Lottery). The project is building a broad cross-sector network and aims to empower people with long-term health conditions to access physical activity by removing barriers, developing evidence-based frameworks, training resources, and governance structures that enable consistent, safe, and effective physical activity conversations across sectors and systems. Working closely with clinicians, patients, policymakers, and professional bodies, Moving Together connects national standards with local implementation, supporting workforce development, data-driven evaluation, and sustainable behaviour change to improve population health and reduce inequalities.

About you

Experience

• Facilities / Maintenance and or property management background.
• 1 years experience in compliance administration is a must

Gaddum provides therapeutic support within the CYP Bereavement Therapy Service and the Complex Care Therapy Service across Greater Manchester. Our CYP Bereavement Therapy Service is delivered across Manchester and Salford. Our Complex Care Service is delivered across Salford, Rochdale and Stockport. Our Kentown Support Service will be delivered across Greater Manchester.

Role Purpose:

Working as part of the Gaddum CYP Bereavement Therapy and Complex Care Team, your role will be to provide effective and efficient administrative support to ensure the smooth running of Gaddum’s therapy services. You will be responsible for ensuring that all administration tasks are completed with a high level of accuracy and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

You will demonstrate appropriate professionalism and empathy towards clients both face to face and over the phone. A keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise is key to the success of this role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Processing referrals: adding them to our database as well as our waitlist spreadsheet, sending out therapy agreement emails to gain consent from families, communicating with referrers/other professionals where needed

· Screening referrals: for any unsuitable or high-risk cases, identifying those 16+ to help us build list for trainees

· Completing follow ups where needed - such as awaiting carer response to agreement/consent email, or we are waiting to hear back about something

· Responding to queries from professionals or service users

· Monitoring email boxes and supporting to monitor waitlist

· Completing IA’s with families who are due to start therapy

· Assisting with therapy bookings where needed (may be contacting schools or community venues on behalf of therapists)

· Liaising with professionals and assisting with onward referrals

· Keeping records up to date

· Communicating cancellations/scheduling changes to therapists or clients or both

· Support therapists with collecting feedback from parents/carers

· Attend team meetings, assisting with minutes where possible, helping to share information with the team

As the need for our Recovery Services continues to grow, and as part of our ambitious new strategy, we’re expanding our team to reach even more members of the Armed Forces Community.

We are excited to be recruiting three Sport Development Officers who will play a vital role in developing and delivering sport and physical activity programmes, while contributing directly to the preparation and participation of Team UK at the Invictus Games.  This is more than a job. Key responsibilities:

- Proactively promote the benefits of sport and physical activity by encouraging and motivating beneficiaries to get involved and remove barriers to participation.
- Support Team UK beneficiaries face-to-face or online which includes identifying welfare needs, complete assessments and be on-call as required.
- Work closely with coaches, Recovery colleagues and stakeholders to develop, deliver and evaluate multi-sport and physical activity programmes using a proactive and evidence-based approach.
- Support the planning and delivery of Alumni events, Team UK training camps and other high-profile sporting events in the UK and overseas.

A solid knowledge and understanding of sport and experience working within a sporting environment is essential.

The role is homebased but there will also be regular travel nationally to attend events, training or meetings and the potential for international travel in the future.

Actors’ Trust supports professional actors and stage managers in times of need. We are inviting applications to join our small, friendly team in the role of Grants and Services Co-ordinator.

It is an exciting time to be joining the charity; our bold new Acting for Impact strategy seeks to increase the charity’s reach and impact within the performing arts community, and our recent repositioning has seen us take a step towards this. You would play a key part in helping us achieve our ambitions.

This Grants and Services Co-ordinator postholder will work directly with our applicants and beneficiaries, supporting them throughout our application processes and working with successful applicants to ensure the charity provides high-quality, appropriate support. This will include making grant decisions and working with beneficiaries to develop their support network.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with clients and service users, particularly as a first point of contact. Key aspects of the role also include supporting service development and leading on data management. Working as part of a small team (of four) you will need to be able to take an adaptable approach to manage competing priorities. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with clients, and work collaboratively with colleagues internally and externally.

The role has been created following collaboration between local stakeholders working in the communities of Knottingley and Ferrybridge. The role is to be part of the delivery team for CRT Engage, a person centred programme; delivering bespoke one to one support to individuals experiencing challenges that impact on their health and wellbeing. It responds to identified gaps in provision and its core focus is to support local residents in accessing and attending local support groups within the community.

You will work on an outreach basis in Knottingley and Ferrybridge to enable services and organisations to understand the direct needs of local people. The role will involve supporting community members to take ownership of developing health and wellbeing resources, and the coordination and production of a community directory.

In carrying out this role you will contribute towards the delivery of the CRT’s strategy, Yorkshire delivery plan by supporting CRT activities such as events, one to ones, workshops that respond to the challenges that exist in Knottingley and Ferrybridge; linking local people to existing support available and other organisations.
