The Research Officer role at Marie Curie is a key position within the Research Team and the larger Policy and Research Directorate. The role is focused on driving evidence-informed policy and practice in palliative and end of life care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply research experience and passion to make a significant impact on the lives of people affected by dying, death, and bereavement.

You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the associate directors with ongoing and new research projects, including data analysis (qualitative and quantitative), preparing manuscripts for publication, and creating academic posters for research conferences
- Conducting or supporting research such as scoping reviews, rapid reviews, and qualitative or quantitative analysis, and summarizing information to inform research and policy work
- Developing summaries and impact reports from funded Marie Curie research and other research that supports Marie Curie's ongoing work
- Organizing events and conferences, including the annual Marie Curie Palliative Care Research conference, and planning new local conferences and workshops focusing on knowledge mobilization and quality improvement
- Providing general administrative support to the research team, including arranging meetings, taking minutes, and tracking actions

Key Criteria:
- An interest in end-of-life care research.
- Experience in undertaking or supporting research, including literature reviews.
- Highly motivated, positive, proactive, and solution focused.
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload, work calmly under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective team member with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Partnerships Executive (Interim)

The Partnerships Executive plays a key role in developing CST’s commercial relationships. Their primary responsibility is to secure conference exhibition sales to meet budget targets and manage all aspects of the exhibitor experience from prospecting to on-the-day support, to post-event communications. They also manage listings in the Directory of Services and work closely with the Partnerships Manager to support the prospecting process.

Reporting to: Partnerships Manager

Key responsibilities

1. Ensure that exhibition sales targets are met for each CST conference.

2. Maintain the CRM for commercial organisations, including creating and managing prospect groups and executing effective exhibition sales campaigns.

3. Create and maintain relevant webforms.

4. Provide excellent end-to-end support for exhibitors, including in person at larger conferences to ensure that all exhibitors’ needs are met on the day.

5. Gather feedback from exhibitors on the quality of their experience and report on what worked well and areas for improvement following each event.

6. Maintain and update marketing collateral to support CST’s commercial activities such as brochures, floorplans, briefings and manuals.

7. Cross-promote the Directory of Services to exhibitors along with other opportunities to work with CST where relevant.

8. Manage the sales and onboarding process for the Directory of Services, including overseeing the references, undertaken by a third party, sending out agreements and liaising with the marketing team on the promotion of new suppliers.

9. Support the Partnerships Manager in the development of the commercial pipeline for CST partnerships by holding initial meetings with new prospects and identifying opportunities for engagement.

The Role

As Fundraising Systems Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the charity’s fundraising operations. Purpose
This vital role works alongside the Head of Philanthropy to help build and grow our philanthropic partnerships over the next five years and beyond. As well as building upon current relationships, you will identify, research and cultivate relationships with charitable Trusts and Foundations as well as major donors to raise both restricted and unrestricted income.

Responsibilities and areas of work
This important role will focus primarily on Trust Fundraising but will also encompass Major Donor Fundraising. 1. New business acquisition:
a) Researching new individuals and trusts to build a prospect list for future funders, using our database (Salesforce), available lists and external databases. Assessing the potential for active, lapsed and prospective donors to support CBM and recording accordingly.
b) Recommending tactical next steps for engagement with new individuals and trusts, for approval by the Head of Philanthropy.
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored stewardship plans, so that individuals / trusts are engaged in a bespoke manner, and that application and reporting deadlines are met.
b) Leading on the production and submission of applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post, email and, to a lesser degree, phone) and following up as required.
c) Reporting to donors in a formal or informal way, as appropriate, to ensure they are kept up to date with CBM and project developments                                                                                                                                                               d)Organising, facilitating and attending face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors/ trusts, including organising dates and venues, and creating Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes.

3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Designing and crafting compelling proposals, reports, project timelines and budgets that meet the bespoke needs of donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues, within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of proposals /reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team to develop new projects/ themes/
appeals for potential projects.

4. Other Team Responsibilities:
a) Helping to develop the Annual Forecast Budget for the Team, and providing updates on the pipeline and progress against targets.
b) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our database to fully-inform any approaches / meetings.
c) Providing proof-reading and copy-editing support to colleagues.
d) Monitoring the activity of related organisations and the fundraising sector, identifying changes, predicting trends and making recommendations as necessary.

Overview
The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust UK is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to manage our online shop. This hands-on role is vital in supporting our mission to protect wildlife and habitats in Kenya. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the online store, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our supporters.

This is a part-time role at 0.4 FTE (15 hours per week), offer a pro rata salary of £28,000 - £30,000 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities to include:

Online Store Management

• Handle the day-to-day operations of the online shop including ensuring efficient order processing, stock management, quality control of incoming stock, processing customer returns, helping the team with packing orders during busy periods, and ensuring consistently high levels of customer service.
• Plan for the busy Christmas period by assessing workload and engaging the assistance of temporary staff, volunteers and the wider team as necessary.
• Conduct periodic stocktakes to ensure accuracy and reduce shrinkage, identifying any errors and training issues.
• Recommend to the Executive Director any updates to the online store's website to ensure it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and regularly refreshed with new products and promotions.
• Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategies to drive website traffic and sales.

Product Development and Sourcing

• Identify and recommend new products that will align with the SWT's mission, appeal to supporters and offer a minimum required ROI.
• Manage timely procurement of products and packing materials.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.
• Create new product listings on Shopify including all relevant back-end product information.
• Write compelling descriptions for product listings, creating and adding appropriate imagery.
• Support Communications team in providing imagery and copy for featured products in monthly charity e-newsletter.
• Create visuals for shop adverts as requested by Executive Director.
• Review and update shop banners/landing page imagery seasonally to keep shop appearance fresh and inviting.

Volunteer Management

• Train and supervise volunteers in picking/packing, stocktaking and quality control.
• Assist in maintenance of the volunteer rota, organising volunteer support as needed based on tasks available, including forward planning for busy seasonal periods.
• Periodic review of output of volunteers to raise training issues where necessary to ensure standards are maintained.

Financial Management

• Manage the online shop budget, monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial targets are met.
• Work with the Director of Finance to propose the annual online shop budget for Board approval.
• Produce stock reports for the auditors and be the main point of contact for the annual audit of stock.
• Analyse sales data to identify trends and make informed decisions about product offerings and pricing strategies.

Customer Engagement

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
• Review global shipping methods and suppliers; recommend to the Executive Director and implement changes to make delivery to customers as smooth as possible.

Reporting and Analysis

• Generate regular reports on sales performance, stock levels, and customer feedback.
• Use data insights to propose and implement improvements to the online shop's operations and customer experience.
• Working closely with the Director of Finance, provide reports and insights on the shop data for the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or post-school qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing an online shop or e-commerce platform.
• Strong understanding of online retail best practices, including pricing, digital marketing, and customer service.

The Role: We are looking for someone with a strong track record in fundraising and grant management, who is particularly motivated to join Khulisa because of a deep commitment to our mission – supporting the wellbeing and mental health of young people.

The post holder will be required to work from home permanently but be willing and able to easily travel to various locations as necessary to fulfill the requirements of the role and to engage with stakeholders and colleagues.

Rate: £31,500 per annum (plus £2k London Weighting if London based)

Base: Flexible hybrid working between home and one of Child Bereavement UK’s Centres in Widnes, Birmingham, High Wycombe, London or Glasgow

Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.

We support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying.

We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

About the Role

Child Bereavement UK has an exciting new opportunity for a Young Person Advocate and Bereavement Support Practitioner. This is a split post working primarily as a Young Person Advocate. The post holder will lead on the development and delivery of support for young people and the professionals that work with them by ensuring that young people have a voice and influence in the development of Child Bereavement UK’s Services across the UK.

In addition, as a Bereavement Support Practitioner, the post holder will be providing bereavement support to individuals, couples, families and in group settings, when a baby or child of any age has died or is dying, or where children or young people up to the age of 25 are bereaved.

Applicants should have a recognised, health, social care, or counselling qualification, experience in working with children, young people and families, excellent communication skills and be passionate about supporting bereaved families and those whose roles bring them into contact with these families.

This is an exciting time to join TCV and lead our newly created team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, confident individual - someone who wants to make a difference and is always willing to go the extra mile and leads by example.

Working directly with your team and the wider income generation team, you will be responsible for setting and implementing our strategic plan aligned to securing income through Trusts, Foundations and Lotteries - working with your team you will identify and develop funding proposals to those partners and stakeholders which sit outside our corporate partnership team.

With your team, you will look to develop innovative ideas and compelling proposals which enable TCV to connect even more people to the green spaces around them, across:
- Environment/nature
- Health and Wellbeing
- Learning and Skills

You will be responsible for developing and bringing to life this new approach for TCV - with an ambition to secure national and or multi-regional funding, enabling us to connect even more people to green spaces.

Ideally you will have already worked in the charity sector and are able to demonstrate experience in leading a team to secure an annual income in excess of £1m across various funding streams.

You should be confident in your ability to set ambitious goals and high standards - and be capable and experienced in leading and supporting a team to achieve both the goals and the standards. You will have ultimate responsibility for leading on both identifying and creating a pipeline of TFL funding streams to meet our annual income target.

As the lead for the TFL team, you must be confident in your ability to communicate our case for support to your team, and to both our internal and external stakeholders, ensuring our proposals are compelling, well thought out and deliver value and impact for both our funding partners and TCV.

We would expect you to be skilled and experienced in writing compelling funding applications and be able to critique and act as a sounding board for your teams own individual applications.
