The Events & Fundraising Manager will work at the heart of our public events programme, helping to organise fundraising walks and other events across London and the South East, and raising funds to support the provision of free legal advice. Our events include the London Legal Walk -- an annual event which raises over £1 million each year -- regional Legal Walk events, and other fundraising events such as the Great Legal Quiz and the Great Legal Bake. LLST also purchases places for third party events such as the London Marathon, Brighton Marathon, and Big Half. We also raise money through individual and corporate donations.

The Events & Fundraising Manager's principal role is to manage these events and promote our fundraising in support of free legal advice charities in London and the South East. Your main duties and responsibilities will include the following: 

• Organising events

• Face to face interview: Now you will have face to face interview with the hiring manager. Our interviews are value and competency based.

We are looking for a caring, dynamic and highly motivated Service Manager to join our established team in South Manchester.

Our office is based in Withington, with the services being based over six sites in South Manchester, which operate under a small community-based team. As Service Manager, you will lead the operational management of our exceptional South Manchester services, which have been developed over the past 30 years to meet the needs of people who require mental health support, with other related needs. These services have an exceptional reputation and have offered excellent support for over 25 years - three of these services are women’s gender-based accommodation. 

You will oversee a small CQC registered women’s service, which has recently been rated Good at inspection. There will be full corporate support to assist with this role, and you will ensure that our services are of the highest quality. In conjunction with the Director, you will lead the South Manchester senior team.  Your role will be to ensure that the service users/ tenants receive the best possible care and support to ensure they can enjoy their best lives and reach personal outcomes. You will also oversee successful provision of our established and well-regarded contracts with Manchester City Council.

This role is typically 37.5 hours per week, but we would consider a part time contract of no less than 30 hours per week. There are great career and development opportunities within this role, and full support and training will be offered.

Volunteers are the backbone of our operation at FareShare South West (FSSW). We have over 350 volunteers from a myriad of backgrounds, who make up 90% of our team. The volunteers help with every aspect of the operation, from driving vans, picking orders, to administrative duties. FSSW has built a successful volunteer programme which supports a wide demographic of people and multiple motivations for volunteering. This role will take a lead on all aspects of recruitment, retention, and development of our volunteer programme during this exciting time in the charity as we expand. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Volunteer Recruitment  

• Work with the Communications and Volunteering teams to actively promote the volunteer programme across Bristol

• Work with the wider FSSW team to support and develop volunteering opportunities for corporate supporters and food partners; taking a lead in the delivery of corporate volunteering events 

• Use and improve on existing processes to manage recruitment from initial enquiry through to successful onboarding of prospective volunteers and partners  

• Develop outreach activities to increase diversity, social impact, and community engagement 

• Work with Head of Employability & Volunteering and the wider team to ensure sufficient dependable volunteers to meet the operational needs, working to KPIs 

• Work with the Volunteer Coordinators to identify fluctuations in the volunteer rota, and action accordingly

• Work with the Head of Employability & Volunteering and Volunteer Coordinators to identify tasks/roles/needs to inform a recruitment strategy for the future

Volunteer Retention: 

• Enhance the existing volunteer retention programme

• Work in collaboration with the Plymouth Volunteering Team to ensure alignment in the delivery of the organisational strategy 

• Work with the Head of Employability & Volunteering and Head of Operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality volunteer induction and training 

• Analyse and monitor volunteer retention, noting reasons for moving on and developing strategies to improve retention where required 

• Develop volunteer roles in conjunction with the Operations Teams

• Build upon and establish new referral partners and recruitment platforms/streams 

• Support the Head of Employability and Volunteering to ensure all Volunteer policies and processes are up to date, and training is given to staff to uphold them 

• Work with the Employability Team to create routeways into volunteering 

Administration, policies, procedures, and risk management 

• Support the Head of Employability & Volunteering to develop and maintain volunteer policies, procedures, and risk assessments 

• Ensure volunteers are adhering to FSSW's Code of Conduct, facilitating meetings with volunteers if necessary, conducting relevant risk assessments, and following safeguarding measures 

• Ensure the Volunteer Coordinators are sufficiently trained in the CRM system (Salesforce) to keep up to date in line with GDPR

• Work with the Volunteer Coordinator/s to ensure FSSW’s databases are up to date with volunteer information, including skills, availability, and contact details/preferences  

Person specification – knowledge, skills, experience, and values

• Experience in data informed recruitment and retention of volunteers or employees

• Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, programmes and strategies

• Experience in providing supportive, motivational, structured team leadership for people with a range of life experiences, including supervision, target setting and performance management 

• A working knowledge or direct experience of the voluntary sector

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to establish and develop positive relationships with volunteers, external partners and beneficiaries 

• Excellent organisational, IT and time management skills to prioritise work, handle conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Supporter Experience Manager

Permanent, Full Time. Hybrid Working

This role can be based in any of our UK offices. Our locations are Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, and Warrington. You will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 2 days per week with the option to work remotely for the remaining 3 days.

Main purpose of post
This is a key support role to the Marketing Manager and Campaigns Manager,
having primary responsibility for the charity’s graphic design work.
Our marketing team raises awareness of our services and grant-giving to
potential beneficiaries and the wider community, support our fundraising
campaigns, and generally promotes Weston Park Cancer Charity throughout
South Yorkshire and beyond.
This is a key role to bring our stories and campaigns to life. You’ll play a key role
in visually communicating our message, developing design assets for both
print and digital platforms, and helping us maintain a strong and consistent
visual identity.

Key Responsibilities
Design and Brand
 Create visual assets for online and offline use, including brochures, reports,
social media graphics, infographics, posters, and fundraising materials.
 Ensure all designs are aligned with our brand guidelines and tone of voice.
 Respond to, discuss and meet design briefs, provided by the Marketing
team.
Digital Media Support
 Design social media templates and email campaign visuals.
 Support in producing visuals for our website and e-newsletters.

Campaign and Event Materials
 Develop design concepts for campaigns and charity events.
 Produce signage, presentations, and promotional materials for fundraising
and awareness activities.

Collaborative Working
 Work closely with a range of colleagues across the marketing, fundraising
team, and service teams.
 Liaise with printers and external suppliers as needed.

Asset Management
 Maintain a well-organised library of design files and templates.

support meaningful causes, with a keen eye for layout, typography, and
storytelling.
