The Events Officer is a pivotal member of the Events HQ team, responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse portfolio of events as outlined in the Events HQ roadmap. This includes providing expert consultancy to the wider organisation, ensuring a unified and professional approach to all event activities.

Collaborating with specialists across the charity and the Brand and Marketing directorate, you will support the development and maintenance of logistical and administrative frameworks that enable successful event delivery. By leveraging your expertise, you will help create events that inspire action and align with the charity’s strategic outcomes.

What's the role about?

Working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will play a critical role in delivering audience-focused events that engage supporters, members, and stakeholders. This includes high-value cultivation events, engagement initiatives, and webinars. You'll work closely with the Events HQ team to develop comprehensive project plans, conduct thorough risk assessments, and ensure seamless on-the-day logistics, guaranteeing a high-quality experience for all participants.

A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams, external specialists, suppliers, and partners. You will act as a key liaison for speakers, providing necessary briefing materials and training, especially for online event delivery. Your ability to inspire and engage others is essential to the successful execution of events.

The role demands significant expertise in event logistics, from initial planning and risk management to live event operations. You will be a strong project manager, adept at handling both proactive and reactive tasks with a solutions-focused approach. You'll be skilled in using databases and CRM systems to manage relationships, as well as tools for budget and supplier management, ensuring the efficient allocation and oversight of resources.

Through your work, you will contribute significantly to the charity’s mission, engaging more diverse audiences and encouraging them to take action for nature through time, money, voice, and choice. Your dedication to excellence and strategic impact ensures that all events achieve their desired outcomes and uphold the organisation’s values.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Demonstrable experience of supporting and leading on elements of events of varying sizes - including events for over 1,000 people, including high-value cultivation events, engagement events, and webinars.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience of delivering online events to over 500 attendees, including live polling, panel discussion and working with production companies

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience in managing and prioritising multiple objectives, workstreams and communication priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Comprehensive understanding of event logistics, including risk assessment and health and safety considerations.
• Knowledge of marketing and communications strategies related to event promotion and audience engagement.

Additional information:

As part of event delivery there will be some evening and weekend working, including late night/early hours set up occasionally.

- The role of RPCS Health Care Assistant is in place to provide end of life care to patients in their own homes in the final weeks of life. 

- We are looking for caring staff who could provide personal care to patients in their last weeks of life. 

- If you think this is you then we can offer a variety of shift patterns to suit you, working across a 7 day week. 

- Your normal hours of work will be a varied shift pattern (between 7am-11pm) on a rota basis from Sunday to Saturday. 

- You will be visiting patients living in your local area, who wish to be cared for in their own home. 

- You will provide support with washing, dressing, nutrition, and skin care. 

- During your visit you will spend time talking to patients and their relatives, using your skills to ascertain the best possible care for the individual. 

- Visits are mainly provided by two carers, but there are times when you will visit alone, so you must have access to your own car. 

- Experience is not essential as training will be given but ideally you will have had some experience of prior caring i.e. for a dying relative, childcare etc.

As a Caseworker, you will provide direct, trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one. Working mostly remotely, with home visits to service users, you’ll offer vital emotional and practical support—including helping them access therapeutic resources, financial assistance, and guidance through the complexities of medical and legal processes.

This role is flexible, allowing you to structure your own working pattern within weekdays from 6 AM to 8 PM. While travel is required, you’ll have control over your diary. Key Responsibilities

• Providing direct support to road victims and their families in the Thames Valley region, following Brake’s trauma-informed model of care.
• Managing a caseload of service users, ensuring their emotional, practical, and advocacy needs are met.
• Undertaking comprehensive needs assessments and creating individualised support plans
• Offering emotional and practical support—this can include helping families access therapeutic resources, financial aid, or even facilitating keepsakes to honour the memory of their loved ones

About the Community & Events Fundraising Officer role:

The Public Fundraising team are responsible for recruiting and stewarding new supporters in order to secure long-term income and growth. We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our team to administer the financial affairs of the District. This role will include working closely with the District Secretary and Treasurer to implement financial policies and controls, assisting with preparing budgets and accounts, managing payroll, processing receipts and payments and maintaining appropriate accounting records.

Financial Controls and Policies

• Support the District Treasurer to implement proper financial policies and controls, ensuring appropriate accounting codes for churches and charities are complied with.

Budgets and Accounts

• Assist the District Secretary, Treasurer and Resourcing Mission Committee to prepare budget and circuit assessments for the District with reference to the District Mission Plan.
• Work with the District Secretary and Treasurer to prepare annual accounts for the District, including liaising with the auditors and helping to draft the Trustees’ Annual Report, particularly with regard to accounting practice and policies.
• Support the District Secretary as needed to ensure compliance with the Methodist Church and Charity Commission requirements, including supplying the information for HMRC P11D forms.

Payroll

• Ensure District employees’ and ministers’ payroll information is correct and liaise with the central Methodist payroll bureau so that staff are paid on time.

Administration of Bank Accounts

• Monitor cash flow and administer transfers between bank accounts.
• Set up approved payments in online banking and liaise with signatories to authorise these for payment.
• Liaise with the Treasurer and/or District Secretary on transactions with the Central Finance Board and Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes, preparing paperwork to facilitate drawdown of funds.
• Administer changes to banking mandates.
• Administer changes to Direct Debits and Standing Order instructions.

Receipts and Payments/Book-keeping

• Check invoices and expenses claims for accuracy, before sending to authorised persons for approval.
• Record all bank transactions for all bank accounts on a monthly basis.
• Produce monthly fund summaries, with detailed analyses.
• Provide monthly ‘sub-accounts’, where required, for specific projects

Other key tasks

• Manage the District’s Financial Record systems, including archiving information as necessary

• Web Development Leadership: Lead the development and maintenance of the charity's website to ensure it effectively supports fundraising and communication efforts as well as providing clear and concise support to our service users, carers and professionals.
• Manage our portfolio of events: We have an emerging trend in challenge events, and we manage these carefully and mindfully especially long-distance sporting events. This requires key insights in trends and work with our marketing team on key insights.
• Working with the CEO: You will identify opportunities for strategic communications and growth. You will network with likeminded individuals from other charities and build sector connections.
• Senior Leadership Team: You will be an integral part of our Senior Leadership Team, which means working across the whole charity on tasks that may pop up, and planning with the team our Organisational Development.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a senior fundraising and communications role, preferably within the charity sector.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Relationship Management, or a related field.

Skills:

• Strong strategic planning and implementation skills.

The National Youth Agency is looking for a new Policy & Public Affairs Officer to join our Policy, Insights and External Affairs Team.

Remote: NYA is a remote working organisation. However, its home is in Leicester which is available for staff to work or host meetings. About the Role

As Policy and Public Affairs Officer at the National Youth Agency, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future of youth work in England. You’ll be part of influencing national policy and driving change that directly impacts young people’s lives. Working within a dynamic and supportive team, you’ll be at the forefront of monitoring and interpreting developments across Westminster - from government consultations to parliamentary debates. Your work will ensure NYA stays ahead of the curve, responding swiftly to emerging policy trends and helping to shape national conversations. You’ll work with the team to use these policy insights to develop our influencing and advocacy efforts. Key responsibilities for this role will include:

Policy and public affairs support

• Research and track policy developments, political landscape changes, and other relevant areas to identify opportunities to further NYA’s policy calls.
• Monitor and report on parliamentary activities, government announcements, and consultations relevant to youth work.
• Compile and analyse data from various sources to support policy briefs, reports, and other written materials.
• Draft policy briefings, research summaries, consultation responses, letters, reports, newsletters and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain and develop stakeholder relationships and record engagement on the CRM system.
• Work with the team with the preparation and delivery of youth participation activities to support our policy influencing objectives.

Event support

• Support the organisation, coordination and note-taking for meetings and events, including webinars, roundtables and political party conference activity. 
• Support with planning and executing of large events including attendee registration, youth participation, materials preparation and using the CRM system.

Other

• Represent the Policy Team at external and internal meetings, policy forums and events.
• Work collaboratively with other teams and directorates to help build an understanding of the work of the Policy and Public Affairs team and effective working relationships across the organisation.

About this exciting opportunity

Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, our successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.

You will produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will include providing practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options and appearing in court. We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and to close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support.

What we are looking for

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families
• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team
• Experience of using support plans, to enable people to successfully access support services
• Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people
• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one
• A knowledge of relevant services for young people and their families in the service provision area
• First-class interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Successful candidates must undergo an Enhanced DBS check, on the basis that the post involves contact with vulnerable participants and colleagues.

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom. 

We are looking for a Digital Communications Coordinator to cover maternity leave and to support our busy Communications team.

The Digital Communications Coordinator is a key role within CLAPA, responsible for implementing our digital communications strategy to engage and inspire the UK cleft community. This role moves beyond content creation to take ownership of CLAPA’s digital communications across social and email platforms, ensuring online communications are strategic and data-driven. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, this role supports the planning, delivery, and monitoring of campaigns that inform, support, and connect the cleft community in the UK. 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a good understanding of digital communications and a passion for community engagement. The Coordinator will manage day-to-day digital content, respond to online enquiries, and support internal teams with their communications needs. They will also play an important part in maintaining CLAPA’s brand and voice across all channels, ensuring our communications are accessible, on-brand, and effective.

About the charity 

Dr Frost Learning is an education charity that believes there should be no barriers to a student’s desire to learn. Our product, Dr Frost Maths, allows students to learn maths online whether independently or via their school. We also provide learning materials and resources to support teachers, so children can maximise their potential in mathematics in and out of the classroom.

Tens of thousands of teachers, and hundreds of thousands of students use our product every month. Over 1000 schools subscribe to our paid product which is subsidised by our generous funders and donors. As we enter our fourth year as a charity we have some key priorities:

- Continue to migrate from a reliance on philanthropic funding to a subscription model

- Deepen our offerings in maths to support more teachers and more students

- Increase our focus on schools which have either high levels of social deprivation or teachers who are not STEM trained

About the role

We are looking to appoint a CEO to lead our Charity. You will be working with a committed Board, alongside our founder and Chief Mathematician, Dr Jamie Frost, and with a staff team all dedicated to delivering a top class, online, maths education.

We have a lot of maths expertise, and our developers are excellent. What we need is someone who can lead the team, create a great working environment, and grow the business. So we need a proven leader who has an entrepreneurial mindset, perhaps with experience growing a start-up business, but definitely passionate about the transformational power of a good maths education.

Jamie Frost joins Board Meetings as an advisor. He has handed over all his intellectual property to the Charity. He much prefers creating teaching materials and going out into schools than managing staff and getting involved in the day to day running of things. He will report to the CEO.

Person Specification

Essential

· Passion for the transformative power of a good maths education

· Have led teams and can demonstrate and breadth of experience and understanding which means that could be the CEO of a small, but ambitious, organisation

· Able to demonstrate a growth mindset

Desirable

· Experience of growing a small business or startup, in a leadership role

· Experience of technology business, ideally software

· Knowledge of VC or philanthropic funding

Salary and terms

· £90,000 p.a.

· 10% employer pension (5% employee contributions, with the option to contribute more via salary sacrifice)

· Fully remote working with the option of using our London co-working space as much or as little as you like

· 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
