Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) has secured funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to expand the Thrive Together programme (formerly VPPP) across the South East. This initiative connects veterans' support agencies, ensuring seamless pathways, safe spaces for veterans, and training for volunteers and staff working in veterans' mental health. They are now seeking a Families & Carers Outreach Officer to explore the challenges of reaching out to families and carers of veterans to improve the way that this support can be delivered.
VOS is an award-winning charity that offers welfare, wellbeing and mental health support and services to veterans of the UK Armed Forces and Merchant Navy in Portsmouth, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight. VOS provide a drop-in model of support, a welfare advice service, peer-supported wellbeing activities and social groups, with access to psychology, psychiatry, and therapy services.
The Families & Carers Outreach Officer will collaborate with the Thrive Together Portfolio Manager and VOS team to identify and improve outreach to families and carers of veterans, many of whom may not know they’re entitled to support.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience with identifying, planning, running, and evaluating pilot projects, research groups, and focus groups, while managing timelines.
- Skills in sharing learnings and recommendations based on feedback, creating ways to measure service effectiveness, and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working with diverse communities, understanding their needs, and building solid relationships. Knowledge of or experience with the UK veteran community would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Experienced in planning and leading community workshops, guiding discussions, and encouraging participation from group members.
- Awareness of the specific communication and engagement needs relevant to the group or community you are working with, including cultural understanding of diverse family dynamics and considerations that may impact service delivery.

Partnerships Executive (Interim)
The Partnerships Executive plays a key role in developing CST’s commercial relationships. Their primary responsibility is to secure conference exhibition sales to meet budget targets and manage all aspects of the exhibitor experience from prospecting to on-the-day support, to post-event communications. They also manage listings in the Directory of Services and work closely with the Partnerships Manager to support the prospecting process.
Reporting to: Partnerships Manager
Key responsibilities
1. Ensure that exhibition sales targets are met for each CST conference.
2. Maintain the CRM for commercial organisations, including creating and managing prospect groups and executing effective exhibition sales campaigns.
3. Create and maintain relevant webforms.
4. Provide excellent end-to-end support for exhibitors, including in person at larger conferences to ensure that all exhibitors’ needs are met on the day.
5. Gather feedback from exhibitors on the quality of their experience and report on what worked well and areas for improvement following each event.
6. Maintain and update marketing collateral to support CST’s commercial activities such as brochures, floorplans, briefings and manuals.
7. Cross-promote the Directory of Services to exhibitors along with other opportunities to work with CST where relevant.
8. Manage the sales and onboarding process for the Directory of Services, including overseeing the references, undertaken by a third party, sending out agreements and liaising with the marketing team on the promotion of new suppliers.
9. Support the Partnerships Manager in the development of the commercial pipeline for CST partnerships by holding initial meetings with new prospects and identifying opportunities for engagement.

The Role
The Head of Operations role holder will lead the Facilities, Logistics and Welcome Desk teams in the effective delivery of the day-to-day operational functions. They will also be integral in developing and implementing building and facilities improvement strategies and lead on the SU's compliance measures, including Health and Safety and Governance. We are looking for someone with experience of managing, influencing and motivating different groups of staff, stakeholders and managers to deliver on operational and strategic plans within a complex organisation. Knowledge of managing and reporting on different and multiple legislative frameworks specifically around Health and Safety, Business Continuity and Major Incident planning is required for this role, as is understanding of managing capital projects through working with facilities teams and external contractors.

As the breadth and volume of our fundraising activity has grown over the last couple of years, an opportunity has arisen for a detail orientated and enthusiastic individual to join our database team. The team
Our dynamic fundraising department are preparing for an ambitious multimillion-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. We pride ourselves on being a supporter focused and agile function, working at the heart of the charity to deliver impact for patients and staff across our hospitals.
Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:
- Our Public Fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges. Our Philanthropy and Campaign teams builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, and corporate organisations which give, or have potential to give, £10,000 to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our exciting cancer campaign which is due to launch in 2025.
- Our database team sit within Fundraising, with their work underpinning and supporting the entire department.

As well as leading on planning and budget setting for the external affairs functions, as a member of the leadership team, you will also contribute to the strategic leadership, planning and policy formulation of the MS Society as a whole.

Brighton and Hove Speak Out is an innovative advocacy charity. We support people with learning disabilities to have a voice and choice and control over their lives by providing a range of advocacy services and community projects.
About the role
This is an opportunity to join our charity in the role of 1-1 Advocacy Team leader.
You will be responsible for leading our 1-1 advocacy team, supporting a small team of advocates to deliver a range of advocacy to adults and young people with learning disabilities.
You will oversee delivery of casework, referral management and monitoring, ensuring Speak Out advocates provide high quality support within a framework of good advocacy practice.
You will also hold a case load supporting people across the service to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options, and will assist them in the decision-making process relating to their care, treatment, and support.
Our 1-1 advocacy service is tailored to meet individual needs, offering the following support:
· Community issue advocacy - advocacy cases cover a range of issues, including accessing social care and health services, housing issues, wellbeing and relationships.
· Specialist advocacy – support for parents with learning disabilities going through child protection proceedings and for young people with learning disabilities in transition to adulthood.
· Statutory advocacy – advocacy case work under the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act (RPPR)
· Drop-in advocacy service - immediate, short term 1-1 advocacy is available during weekly drop-in sessions at our central base in Brighton

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison based. About this job
It is a very exciting time to join the MS Society as Director of Income Generation a brand-new role in the organisation. We are implementing an ambitious cross-organisational transformation programme. And we have just started a new 2025-29 strategy. Income Generation is central to both.
We are transforming our approach to engagement to grow and deepen relationships with all our audiences. This creates an opportunity to integrate our approach to engagement and income generation. So we can increase our financial supporter base. Grow and diversify long-term sustainable income to deliver transformational impact for the MS Community. And contribute to our ultimate vision of a world free from MS.
We are looking for someone to provide strategic and thought leadership to income generation. Someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to lead and drive forward our ambition for income generation.
You will act as the leading authority on matters relating to income generation, providing advice across the organisation including to the Executive Group and Trustees.
You will enable the delivery of related transformation programmes that increase and diversify income. And have strategic ownership of the income generation programme, including income-related activities and KPIs within the engagement calendar, and customer experience and journeys relating to financial supporters
You will lead on income generation functions planning and budget setting contributing to the overall business planning process for the Income and Engagement Directorate

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP The Mount. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison based. The Salvation Army, the UK’s leading social welfare charity, is seeking a direct marketing expert to lead its newly formed Supporter Acquisition and Innovation Unit and provide strategic leadership, direction, and management of the annual acquisition programme.

The Assistant Head of Individual Giving is a key, senior role in the Individual Giving Section, overseeing the development and delivery of multi-channel direct marketing activities that inspire and motivate many thousands of new contactable supporters to join the charity’s donor base each year. The post also leads the development and implementation of new acquisition products from concept to launch and meeting an initial annual fundraising target of approximately £500,000. The role leads a unit of three people including one direct line report.
The successful candidate will have extensive expertise in all aspects of direct marketing, specifically acquisition, including detailed knowledge and experience of how best to maximise both offline and online channels, as well as successfully implementing new and innovative products or offers. Experience in successful strategic planning, management and implementation of strategy will be critical as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates must be highly organised project managers with excellent leadership and people management skills and the ability to think analytically and critically.
