The Role

Playing an essential role in our small, dynamic team, the HR Manager will be a key driver of a thriving workplace culture, ensuring that Shift’s people strategies align with our organizational goals. What You Will Do

• Partner with Shift’s Head of Finance and COO to manage compensation, administer employee benefits, including health insurance, and retirement plans.
• Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.

Operations & Administrative Support

• Support the implementation of systems for internal communication, knowledge management and team-wide collaboration.

• 5+ years of HR management / generalist experience, ideally in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

• Ability to multi-task, work effectively, and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

About the role

Working in close collaboration with the Senior Mass Fundraising Lead, the role will manage and deliver a variety of community-led fundraising initiatives and dynamic challenge events that engage supporters and generate vital unrestricted funds for children affected by neuroblastoma.

The role focuses on building strong relationships with fundraisers, volunteers and ambassadors, providing guidance, support and motivation to help them surpass their fundraising goals. This role will support national campaigns, amplify our key messages and activity across regions, platforms and stakeholders. You will be a key contact and will help us tell powerful stories about flooding and flooded people.

Responsibilities

Strategic Communications & Storytelling

• Translate community activity and project work into compelling stories and campaigns that raise the voices of those affected by flooding.
• Contribute creative ideas to grow awareness of the National Flood Forum’s work and impact.

Content Creation & Digital Media

Responsibilities

In this role you will have 6 key responsibilities:

Financial: Managing a portfolio of high-value relationships and to deliver income at the agreed annual target in the first year with an expectation this will rise year on year.

Management:  You will be one of the first points of contact internally for trusts/foundations and individual major donors (IMD) related queries and will work in accordance with the major giving team strategic plan and existing procedures, practices and standards.
