Work experience at Unifrog

In 2022, we launched the Unifrog Placements tool with just a few schools and colleges, and it’s now being used by over 45% of UK schools and has facilitated over 350,000 placements since its launch. The Placements tool makes it quick and easy for schools and colleges to administer work experience, virtual work experience (VWEX), work shadowing, and internships, all in one central place on the Unifrog platform. The more schools that sign up to and get started with Placements, the closer we can get to levelling the playing field for all students.

What you’ll do

As the Work Experience Lead, you will provide outstanding customer support for school and college partners using our Placements tool. You’ll be the first point of contact for any queries about the tool, resolving any issues partners, parents or employers have with the process. You’ll also be responsible for training individuals, tracking the engagement and impact of the Placements tool across our partner schools. You’ll be keeping Account Managers up to speed on this throughout the academic year.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage incoming queries about our Placements tool via phone call and email.

• Keep Salesforce records up to date after any interactions with partner schools and colleges.

• Continually suggest and streamline our Work Experience processes using feedback from our partners.

• Analyse engagement data, trends and notable issues on Placements usage and share this data with Account Managers and the wider UK management team.

Additional responsibilities:

• Proactively look for opportunities to continue improving our platform and support of Work Experience within schools and colleges. For example, reviewing survey responses to identify potential tweaks or process improvements. 

• Support the UK Partner Success Team during busy periods, e.g., uploading school data onto the platform and troubleshooting any issues partner schools and colleges are experiencing.

• Proactively work to foster a sense of community amongst our Unifrog partners and consider how we can promote the sharing and embedding of Unifrog best practice. 

Working together
 

You’ll work alongside the Partner Success Leads and the wider UK schools and colleges team. You’ll also have contact with our Data, Marketing, and Finance teams.

You’ll report to the Head of Partner Success.

Key details

• £34,890 per annum (Grade A).

• Split your time between working remotely and at our office in Hoxton, London (a minimum of 2 days per week). Applicants must be commutable to London and can expense up to £12.50 per day for travel, up to 2 days per week.

About the role

The Finance and Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the charity’s financial and operational functions. This includes managing day-to-day accounting, producing management reports, maintaining and improving processes, line-managing the administrator, and leading key projects across Finance, IT and HR. The role plays a central part in supporting the operational effectiveness and strategic growth of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Finance

• Manage the charity’s day-to-day accounts, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping.
• Prepare financial reports for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and management staff.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Support annual audits and liaise with external accountants as required.

Sutton Night Watch is a registered charity which was set up to support and raise awareness for the homeless people within the London Borough of Sutton and surrounding areas.

Over the past 10 years, with the support of local business, the local community and fundraising efforts, we have been able to grow and expand into our own, permanent base in December 2019.  From here we are able to not only provide the essentials such as food, showers and clothing supplies, but we are able to also offer our service users a range of health services, benefit advice, wellbeing and educational based courses, clothes, washing facilities and most importantly, a place where people are seen, heard and understood. We also support people to find secure accommodation. In the past 3 months we have found homes for 13 people.

Job Purpose:

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing fundraising strategies to secure financial support for the organization.

Our annual fundraising target is set at c250k (cash income) plus additional targets for in-kind donations, preloved donations and donated services. These support the growth and sustainability of our operations, ensuring we can continue to provide essential items and services to local people experiencing homelessness.

This role involves managing donor relationships, coordinating fundraising campaigns, organizing events, and ensuring income targets are met to sustain and grow the charity’s mission.

The new role of Community Organiser: Community of St Paulinus at Sheffield Cathedral plays a key role in establishing the Cathedral as a resourcing church, partnering with parishes in the inclusive catholic tradition and embedding community organising principles across our parish partnerships and the Cathedral itself. Community organising is not simply a method but a core discipline in this initiative — shaping how relationships are built, leaders are developed, and action is taken for the common good. Through this approach, the Cathedral and its partners will contribute to the founding of Sheffield Citizens and work collaboratively for justice and human flourishing across the region. At the heart of the resourcing project will be a new non-residential mission community called the Community of St Paulinus (CsP). Although based at the Cathedral, notably in the rhythm of prayer, the CsP will be deployed in contextual mission with parish partners. The Community Organiser will work with the CsP and the Project Resource Team - an agile group comprising a Project Manager, Fundraiser and Digital Evangelist - to provide practical and strategic support for missioners and parish partners engaged in parish revitalisation and the planting of new worshipping communities.

Policy Specialist (Children and Young People)

We are currently looking for a Policy Specialist to join Mencap. This position sits within the Policy and Public Affairs teams of Mencap’s Campaigns, Advocacy and Activism Directorate (CAA). You will work closely with our influencing, information and advice, campaigning, and research work, as well as sector partners like the Disabled Children's Partnership. 

This is an exciting new role to deliver policy change and enhance the rights of children and young people with a learning disability. At a key time to influence Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) education reform, we are seeking a policy specialist to shape policy work that reflects the needs and experiences of children, young people, and their families. Working within the policy team, you will be responsible for developing evidence-based policy work and influencing decision-makers.

This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week). We are flexible with your work location, but there may be some occasional travel needed to our London office or Westminster.

You will: 

• Translate complex work into clear and persuasive policy briefings, consultation responses and reports.
• Work within wider coalitions of charities, building collaborative relationships and ensuring that the needs and priorities of our community are addressed.

About the Role

As a Children and Young Persons Caseworker your responsibilities will include:

Support of the development and implementation of the CYP Service Model for supporting children and young people who have been affected by crime. Developing and delivering innovative interventions to address the needs of children and young people who been affected by crime. Work closely with children and young people in the Service to involve them in service design, delivery and evaluation. Manage a caseload of up to 30 cases.

As a CYP caseworker you will

• Deliver support to young victims of crime using appropriate service guidance

• Develop and enhance local key stakeholder relationships.
• Maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness
• Reduce the risk factors around the young people.

About You.

Proven track record of successfully delivering services for children and young people and successful youth engagement in a comparable role within a service-driven organisation of comparable size, scope and complexity

Knowledge of safeguarding issues relating to children and young people

Understanding and knowledge and an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity

A successful track record of building effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders

An understanding of the current issues for children and young people affected by or experiencing crime, domestic abuse and relationship abuse

Understanding and knowledge of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of files in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and Victim's Right, awareness of the impact of crime including witnesses attending court and giving evidence

Working as a Senior Keyworker you will be responsible for supervising a small group of keyworkers, planned and ad-hoc supervision is an integral part of the Senior role, and you will be supporting keyworkers with monthly supervision and have oversight of safeguarding for the women they work with. You will be supporting the quality control for the region which will include dip-checks and data input.

You will have an in-depth knowledge of the range of needs and interventions required for women offenders. The ability to lead a small team to deliver inclusive, innovative and professional services. The ability to not only maintain own a small caseload of women, never compromising on quality engagements, but also to role model best practice and lead a small team of Hampshire wide Keyworkers.
