We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager, who  will be responsible for the financial management and reporting of the organisation. Able to manage the day-to-day financial analysis and reporting requirements for Money Ready, and provide input for strategic financial planning. Using a business partnering model, ensure all budget holders are fully supported in their roles. Responsible for the delivery of all management accounts, budget, forecasts and donor reporting as well as the annual statutory accounts. Ensure all income and expenditure is accounted for in a timely and efficient manner. Helps deliver Money Ready’s strategic objectives, identifies the key financial risks and develops the internal controls environment.

The Senior Finance Manager will be a member of the SMT. This role will lead or contribute to the implementation of new financial systems, tools, or procedures that improve efficiency, compliance, and transparency.

Working across Money Ready

You will work with colleagues across the country as we continue to develop and grow the organisation. Contribute to areas of the organisation that are ‘outside’ your immediate focus acting as trusted counsel to those in roles or teams that are different to yours. Key Responsibilities

• Ensures the timely and accurate production of all management and annual accounts and all forecasts in accordance with best practise and statutory requirements.
• A key business partner who provides value added business support and financial insight to the SMT and colleagues throughout the Charity.
• Provides financial insight to development team to assist with fundraising bids, prepare donor budgets, and ensure donor reporting and compliance throughout the grant life cycle.
• Responsible for delivery of all statutory and regulatory compliance, including statutory accounts, certification officer returns, Charities Commission, VAT and all payroll taxes.
• Responsible for fortnightly payment runs processing. Supervise and assist with the sale invoices processing and regular credit control. Monthly reconciliation of all Money Ready’s bank accounts.
• Responsible for monthly payroll including monthly and annual RTI reporting to HMRC, pensions payments, annual payroll processing and relevant reconciliations.
• Work with auditors on preparing the audit strategy and manage annual audit process, providing all the relevant paperwork during the audit process.
• Be a positive change champion for the organisation, identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programmes and strategies in both finance and across the Union as a whole.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns with reconciliations and reporting. Line management, objective setting and performance reviews for direct report.
• Establish and maintain a robust internal controls environment that is fit for purpose but uses a risk-based approach to the establishment of processes and procedures.

Personal Specification

• You will need to show;
• Experience Substantial experience in a finance or accounting role (including at management level) in a not-for profit organisation.
• Substantial experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year end accounts.
• Substantial experience in processing monthly payroll using QuickBooks Payroll and Sage Payroll.
• Line management experience, including objectives setting and performance reviews.
• Experience in charity accounting principles, especially with regards to grants and restricted funds.
• Demonstrable experience of business partnering with multiple, non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience of establishing financial systems including business plans and budgets.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and experienced sports and challenge fundraiser, to deliver a review of our sports and challenge events programme, identifying new opportunities to grow our income.

Working closely with the Head of Individual Giving and Fundraising Campaigns, you will develop strategies and bring new ideas to grow and develop this programme, potentially including community events – to deliver significant growth in income over the next 5 years.

In this feasibility review, you will analyse our past performance including in well-established, externally organised activities such as marathons and third-party challenge events, and our partner events such as the Terry Fox Runs. You will also assess the feasibility of developing and launching our own-branded events.

During the review, you will line-manage the Sports and Challenge Events Officer to maintain and deliver our current successful events programme and work together on the feasibility review to identify new opportunities for innovation and ways to increase participation. 

You will build key relationships across the department and work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, to identify and work through new ways to grow participation and increase fundraising income.

At the end of the review, you will present your findings, making recommendations on the key components for a future sports and challenge programme that reflect our ambitions for growth, with plans to deliver it.

This is initially a fixed term project contract. There is potential for the role to become permanent dependent on the direction and outcomes of the review.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will lead a review of our sports and challenge events programme, including third-party activities such as marathons and challenge events, using data to analyse past performance (income and ROI) and assess the feasibility for developing our own-brand sports, challenge or community events – whilst maintaining the success our current programme of activities.

You will:

• Review, develop and prepare plans to deliver a profitable, engaging and effective annual programmes of sports, challenge and community event opportunities.
• Be responsible for managing the annual available sports marketing budget and contributing to annual budget planning.
• Create innovative new sports and challenge events, designed to attract and retain supporters and develop plans to launch these on time, and to budget.
• Work with Communications and Digital teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans to promote our events, secure participants and increase levels of engagement.
• Work with your team to set targets and monitor progress of fundraisers – and manage their participation in cost-effective ways, to maximise return on investment.
• Support your team to provide excellent stewardship and supporter experience, with pre and post event contact, to encourage repeat participation.
• Collaborate with Development teams to cross sell and identify leads for fundraisers from other areas of fundraising, such as major gifts, corporate, appeals and legacies.
• Be responsible for managing and the personal development of your team, to deliver their campaigns and activities, to agreed objectives and KPIs.

About the Role

Our Ayrshire and Arran Infant Feeding Peer Support Project is commissioned by NHS Ayrshire and Arran to offer infant feeding support as part of the integrated Infant Feeding service. The support is delivered, on a one to one basis to the families from an antenatal through to when your baby is 6-8 weeks old, in families homes, via phone, text and video calls.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

· Providing one to one breastfeeding support to families within Ayrshire and Arran, at peoples homes, via phone, text and video calls.

· Inputting information onto patients records within platforms used by the health professionals in the region.

· To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.  

· To attend regular supervision/support sessions. 

· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Ayrshire and Arran area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.

· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
 
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breast milk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.

The role is 16 hours per week which to be worked in 4 hours shifts over 4 days. This role is based within the community across Ayrshire and Arran.

About the Role

The Assistant Reserves Officer is one of our team managing and developing the Trust’s nature reserves for people and wildlife.  Your work place includes internationally recognised wetlands and woodlands along with nationally important meadows, chalk grasslands and heathland across Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

You will need to have strong experience in practical habitat management, including the use of power tools and machinery, such as chainsaws, brush cutters and BCS mowers. You will have experience of working within a dynamic team and leading volunteers. You will need to have a keen interest in wildlife and preferably a knowledge of the habitats in our area.

No two days are the same as an ARO at HMWT; you will get the opportunity to utilise and develop your practical habitat management skills across our nature reserves including tree felling, coppicing, scrub clearance, hay cutting and pond/ditch management. You will also undertake the maintenance of site infrastructure; assist with the management of livestock; and perform surveying and monitoring of habitat/species, tree safety and infrastructure. These tasks will be delivered working closely with members of the nature reserves team; our volunteer wardens and our practical conservation volunteers.

Willingness to travel throughout our work area and flexibility to work occasional irregular hours is required for this post.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

 

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. 

Last year, 244 people in England and Wales tragically died after being assaulted with a knife. Of these, 32 were children. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. Even when violence doesn’t strike directly, we know that the fear of violence has a terrible effect on children’s lives.

The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must build an exceptional body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and how we reduce it. This knowledge has to be both rigorous and highly relevant to those making decisions about how to support vulnerable young people. We need to find out what works and what doesn’t through evidence synthesis, data analysis and qualitative research into children’s lives. We need to convert this into highly accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations need to change their practice and how the systems they operate in need to be reformed. We then need to work with the right people that can make change happen, across systems, policies and practice, to have a real impact on reducing violence affecting children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

Deciding which projects, we should fund and evaluate is key, as is making sure we deliver our funding and evaluations to the highest standards. Our Programme Managers are responsible for identifying, assessing, funding and supporting programmes designed to prevent youth violence.

Programme Managers at YEF come from all walks of life. We look for individuals who may have experience in the youth sector, children’s social care, policing, criminal justice, education or how to involve local residents in making decisions about their own neighbourhoods.

As a Programme Manager at YEF, you will work very closely with our evaluation team to make sure we learn from what’s being implemented and that the organisations we fund are prepared and excited to work with us to find what works.

To achieve this, you will:

· Make sure we choose the best organisations to work with by assessing funding applications, critically appraising delivery plans and budgets, getting to know potential grantees and conducting site visits. These assessments will help you form recommendations to our senior leadership team about which opportunities to pursue.

· Work closely with grantees, external evaluators and our own evaluation team to ensure that the activity we are funding will be evaluable. This requires you to support and advise grantees on how to work in the context of an evaluation – usually, a randomised trial (you don’t have to have experience working on a randomised trial in the past, but it helps!).

· Build strong relationships with our grantees and provide them with ongoing management and support through the life of their funding. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of grantees and ensuring targets are met and any project risks are effectively mitigated.

· Think carefully about how we find the best projects to fund and evaluate, ensuring we can best find what works to keep children safe. To do this you might need to work with colleagues to spot where there has previously been a lack of evidence about what works (we will help you with this!). You would project manage these projects so they are excellently delivered – on time, within budget, and to a high standard. You will help to determine what our commissioning processes aim to achieve and design grant application processes to achieve it.

· You’ll manage our engagement with potential grantees to make sure we are attracting a diverse and promising portfolio of organisations to apply.

· Report to our team and external stakeholders regularly on how well the projects we are funding are going, spotting where grantees need support and coming up with how we can best provide that support.

· Represent the Youth Endowment Fund at external events, including reporting and presenting to our Grants and Evaluation Committee, who approve all our funding decisions.

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-driven Finance Manager to join ESSA’s international team and lead our UK financial operations. This vital role will support both UK and global finance functions, ensuring high-quality financial reporting, audit preparation, budgeting and compliance.

SEL Mind are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Bromley Mental Health Hub (BMHH), as part of the ongoing transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley. The service integrates the expertise of local primary, secondary, and voluntary sector providers to offer flexible, holistic and person-centred support for adults experiencing mental health difficulties.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Manager to join the BMHH team on a one year fixed-term basis. During the fixed-term period, the post holder will lead on reviewing, strengthening and developing the peer support pathway. You will play a key role in shaping support for our clients that enhances quality of life, choice and opportunity. You’ll be integral in leading the pathway to achieve its objectives to help clients improve confidence and resilience, reduce social isolation and encourage independence and integration into their local community. 

In addition, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of peer support in the BMHH, including line management of a Senior Peer Support Coordinator who oversees delivery of both one-to-one and group-based peer support, delivered by the wider peer support team. The role also holds responsibility for supporting the team in dealing with risk and safeguarding matters that may arise. Occasional out-of-hours work may also be required to support the team in their group delivery outside of core office hours.

The role requires excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a commitment to recovery-focused practice, and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with SEL Mind colleagues and within a multidisciplinary team in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. You will have strong line management experience and experience of delivering peer support services, including experience of working with people who have complex or heightened needs. Fuel expenses are paid, and travel time is included as part of your working hours. Core delivery time is usually within the school working day and during school term time only. All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that meetings with partners and colleagues, plus administrative tasks, are completed as required. You will be expected to work at least four days a week.
