With an expanding portfolio of UK-wide programmes, we are seeking a highly motivated Programmes Manager who excels in programme management and delivery to join our growing team.
Working closely with the Head of Programmes and colleagues, you will manage the delivery of EPIC Restart's national programmes, working hands-on to support and manage a wide range of in-person and online activities, embedding good project management principles across our programmes and driving successful outcomes.
70% of our team and trustees have experienced gambling harm either directly or indirectly. Lived experience is an advantage but not an essential requirement for this role, as you will be collaborating with colleagues who bring their lived experience insights to inform our activities. Responsible for:

We’re a small charity that brings communities together to create cleaner, connected and safer urban and rural neighbourhoods by tackling the litter problems where they live. As our Senior Operations Officer, working closely with the Head of Operations, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our organisational operations. The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is seeking an experienced Financial Controller on a part-time basis to manage the transition of the financial systems and processes. With 2,400 members, the IPS is dedicated to advancing infection prevention and control (IPC), playing a pivotal role in supporting IPC professionals, promoting best practices, and influencing policy to prevent infections.
The organisation is transitioning away from being a association-management / volunteer-led model to a small secretariat, hiring its first CEO and five other positions, including this most senior finance role. You will lead on the transition process covering all aspects of financial management, to ensure the Society’s financial integrity and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial transition to an in-house model.
- Creating and testing all internal processes.
- Oversee Statutory accounts, budgeting, credit control, financial reporting and compliance.
- Manage payroll and pension scheme implementation.
- Forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and support with audit.
- Investigate potential new income generation schemes with CEO.
Requirements:
- Accountancy qualification (CIMA, ICAEW, AAT, ACCA, etc.)
- Proven experience in a financial management role, ideally within a membership body, learned society, nfp/charity or public sector.
- Open to part-time role only.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Analytical and strategic mindset.
- Strong comms to train and support non-financial staff.

The Governance and Compliance Lead will be a key member of the organisation's senior management team, responsible for providing strategic advice and support to the Trust Board and the Chief Executive on governance matters, legal compliance, and risk management. This role will involve leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of organisation-wide policies, systems, and processes, including those related to human resources. About You:
With your proven experience of philanthropy fundraising, you’ll have personally secured 5 figure + gifts from a major donor. With your ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with donors, you’ll be able to adapt your communication style to articulate complex issues in a succinct and compelling way.
You’ll have project management skills to enable you to devise donor engagement plans and work with senior volunteers and trustees to develop funding proposals and identify opportunities.
About The Role
- Actively work to secure income to meet agreed personal and team fundraising targets in line with the organisation’s operational priorities to meet the needs of the communities and individuals we serve.
- Identify potential prospects, working alongside the Prospect Researcher, Senior Management colleagues and Trustees to continue to identify new prospects to grow the pipeline.
- Build, manage and maintain a portfolio of donors from £5,000 gifts upwards, stewarding relationships to ensure donor satisfaction and long-term financial commitment, including detailed and timely reporting as well as engagement with senior stakeholders within St John.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues in fundraising to identify major donor prospects and opportunities to maximise donor experience – such as work with Supporter Engagement and the Community Fundraising team.
