We’re looking for two proactive individuals who are passionate about volunteering to join our team.

Our Volunteer Coordinators are responsible for co-ordinating volunteer recruitments, providing volunteer management advice and guidance to staff who work with volunteers, and establishing positive relationships with volunteers to ensure they have a fulfilling volunteer experience at Battersea.
As well as administration and support, this role also has the opportunity to work on projects to improve our volunteer programme at Battersea.

• One Volunteer Coordinator role will work directly with cattery volunteers at Battersea London.
• The other Volunteer Coordinator role will work directly with kennel volunteers in Battersea London.

We work on a hybrid working rota of 3 days in the office, and 2 days from home per week. There may be the need to work on a weekend day on occasion.

Fundraising Lead

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Partnerships and Development to lead and drive our growth, ensuring the long-term sustainability and expansion of our work.

• Salary: £45,000 per annum, plus pension (reviewed annually)

Vision Action, formally Vision Aid Overseas, is a UK-based charity, with a focus on fighting poverty by transforming access to eye care services in lower- and middle-income countries in Africa. The charity was established in 1985. Our work focuses on the development of services for uncorrected refractive error and primary eye health. Uncorrected refractive error is the world’s leading cause of avoidable visual impairment, with an estimated 670 million people affected worldwide. We develop programmes that integrate training, primary eye care, school eye health and facility developments into national and regional eye care plans, seeking always to be responsive to local need. Job Purpose

Vision Action seeks a highly dynamic individual for a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of an extension. The position is part of the management team, and the post holder will be expected to lead on the financial accounting, management accounting, and budgeting for the organisation as well as taking forward some strategic finance and operations projects as we expand our programmes in existing countries. The individual will also be expected to support the Co-CEOs with administrative, compliance and IT related tasks.

The position holder is required to comply with all of Vision Action’s policies and procedures, including Vision Action’s Safeguarding policy.

Functions / Key Responsibilities:

1. Finance

• Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate.

Financial accounting

• Prepare annual statutory accounts in accordance with SORP 2015.
• Prepare for the annual external audit and host auditors ensuring the audit process runs smoothly. This includes supporting Vision Action’s country offices in hosting their respective audits.
• Ensure annual statutory accounts are finalised and submitted to Companies House and the Charity Commission by the appropriate deadlines.

Management accounting

• Coordinate the month-end process with the Finance Officer (UK) and Programme Finance Lead, and review transaction postings.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with cash flow forecasts, modifying the format as needed to suit the preferences of senior management and the Board of Trustees.
• Prepare the annual organisational budget and mid-year reforecast.
• Improve existing budget templates to enable straightforward and transparent budgeting for donors.

Support to country offices

• Collaborate with the Programme Finance Lead on a monthly basis to reconcile intercompany accounts, ensuring that reconciling items are cleared promptly.
• Support country office teams in fulfilling any reporting and financial compliance requirements.
• Conduct internal process reviews (internal audits) of country offices where required.
• Review the bi-weekly payment runs for the UK office and the monthly country office fund requests, ensuring cash flow planning is in place for these payments.
• Ensure asset registers are maintained appropriately.

2. Administration

• Support staff in conducting procurement in line with Vision Action’s procurement policy.
• Assist with preparation for quarterly Board meetings.
• Support office management tasks.

3. Other

• Review and develop existing policies and procedures (e.g. the Finance Manual).
• Conduct staff training on relevant policies and procedures.
• Any other task reasonably requested by your line manager.

Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world's largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life - reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections.

The part-time Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, and coordinating the volunteers who support the museum's operations, engineering activities and visitor experience. They will develop documentation including a volunteer agreement, handbook and role profiles and ensure that volunteers are effectively integrated into the museum's activities and that their contributions are recognised and valued. As part of this project we are also recruiting a Museum Operations & Project Manager (two days per week) and a Curatorial Assistant (one day per week). The Volunteer Coordinator will report to the Museum Operations & Project Manager.

The Royal Court Theatre has an exciting opportunity for someone to join People team as People and Governance Coordinator. 

This role is central to the internal operations of the Royal Court, providing high-quality coordination and administration that underpins how we support our staff, deliver effective governance, and maintain a positive workplace culture. The postholder will oversee key HR procedures, systems and records (including recruitment and payroll support), coordinate trustee and board activity, and ensure clear and consistent internal communications across all teams.

Alongside this core administration, the role offers an opportunity to develop as a trusted People Partner for our Front of House and Catering teams, providing first-line guidance on people matters and gaining insight into the internal management of a leading cultural charity. We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated locally based individual to take forward our strategy.   This person will lead the work of the Cyclox infrastructure; increase Cyclox membership, ensure we are compliant and work closely with our Campaigns Lead  which will include research, input into campaigns, fundraising applications and perform other administrative functions.   We are looking for someone who is very flexible and can work work with a wide range of stakeholders.  Ideally we would prefer one person but please indicate if you would prefer to do this as a job share.

Context of job

AFK is a national charity creating opportunities for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse, to increase their independence, reach their individual potential and remove the barriers they face. Our vision is a world where there are no barriers to independence for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work experience across North London.  

At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25.

Overall Job Purpose

As part of the Service Delivery Team, you will take operational responsibility for managing and developing the delivery of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) training programmes. You will ensure that corporate and charitable organisations are equipped with practical tools to build inclusive workplace cultures and create accessible career opportunities for young people with additional needs.

In this hands-on role, you will coordinate consultancy projects from start to finish - overseeing scheduling, delivery, marketing, and evaluation - to maintain high standards and meet income targets. Your work will directly support AFK’s mission to create a fairer, more equitable society for people with additional needs.

You will work closely with AFK’s Co-Facilitators - each bringing valuable lived experience - to ensure all EDI training is authentic, relevant, and informed by their expertise.

Working Conditions

The post is 35 hours a week, normally 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The post holder may be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.

28 days annual leave will be given in addition to public holidays.

Working Relationships

Provide direct line management to EDI Facilitators and Co-Facilitators.

Build and sustain strong relationships with HR Managers, Inclusion Leads, and equivalent roles within client organisations.

Principal Responsibilities

Service Development

· Collaborate with the CEO, Executive Director of Services to identify and develop new opportunities for chargeable training services.

· Hold overall management responsibility for the EDI Programme, including its team of Facilitators and Co-Facilitators.

· Advance the organisation’s co-production target by working with the youth leadership group, and with other Service Delivery Managers.

· Lead the ongoing development of AFK’s training offer, ensuring a diverse range of services that promote workplace inclusion and equity for people with additional needs.

Business Development

· Collaborate with the CEO, Executive Director of Services and Fundraising Team to identify marketing opportunities for AFK services supporting voluntary and community groups.

· Ensure all training and consultancy is delivered to the highest standards, reflecting best practice and compliance with current legislation and regulations.

· Work closely with employers and Service Delivery colleagues to create meaningful opportunities for young people with additional needs to gain experience, develop skills, and pursue their aspirations.

· Proactively identify and apply for commissioned opportunities with London local authorities.

General

· Uphold AFK’s Safeguarding Policy and contribute to creating a safe environment for young people.

· Prepare and present regular progress reports to the CEO, Executive Director of Services, the Board of Trustees, and other relevant stakeholders.

· Carry out any other duties as required by senior management team.

We are excited to announce that we are looking for a temporary Team Coordinator to cover a period of Maternity leave within the Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) to support the expansion of our offer to children and young people in North, East, and Central Bristol.

Mental Health Support Teams are part of a national strategy implemented by the government in 2018. In Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, the MHSTs are run as a partnership between OTR and NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (AWP CAMHS). This partnership makes our MHST unique, creative, and responsive to the needs of the diverse communities we work in.

Team Coordinators will assist MHST Team Managers and Clinical Leads in the operational management of Mental Health Support Teams by providing high quality support to staff members and supporting initiatives to develop our workforce. 

Applicants will need relevant education in line with the requirements of the role, experience working with young people and the adults in their lives, and demonstrable management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team with a range of needs and skills.

Battersea has recently approved a new 5-year organisational strategy to deliver an even greater impact for dogs and cats through our Prevent, Support and Care activity. To support the delivery of the new strategy and its respective programme of works, we are now seeking a new role of Head of Project and Strategic Planning to play a central role in shaping how we deliver our priorities across the organisation, supporting the leadership team, directors and strategic project leads in the delivery of our objectives, and ensuring there is effective management and oversight of projects and programmes which facilitates sound decision making and governance principles.

To support a significant CRM implementation programme, the programme has incorporated some formal governance structures and processes to support effective change management and decision making. We are now looking to embed and expand on those and ensure we have fit for purpose mechanisms for overseeing all key activity across the charity.

This role will therefore be responsible for developing, embedding, and leading a fit for purpose and effective Project Management Office (PMO), shaping delivery practices, building project management capability, and improve organisational alignment and performance in a way that supports dynamic cross-organisational decision making and innovation. As this is a new position, and will result in changes to our ways of working, the Head of Project and Strategic Planning will also be required to play a leading role in supporting and enabling organisational change, ensuring there is a clear understanding of change impacts associated with projects and programmes, strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills are applied, and clear transparent communication of the roadmap, including risks and benefits, is shared to bring people on the journey and enable us to embed best practice methodology.

We are excited to offer trainee positions within the Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP IAPT). The post-holders will work within OTR as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering brief, focused, evidence-based psychological interventions in the form of low-intensity support and guided self-help to young people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience whilst also completing a Graduate or Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Therapies Practice (Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Children, Young People and Families) delivered by the University of Exeter.

The post holders will attend all university-based teaching and self-study days required by the education provider, as specified within the agreed curriculum, and work within OTR services for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills.

All applicants must have the ability to study at degree level, have experience in and be passionate about working with children and young people and will be able to work with the demands of coordinating clinical work with the academic requirements of the course.

Dementia is both the UK’s biggest health crisis and the country’s leading cause of death. For too many people, it brings fear, exhaustion and uncertainty – and families are often left without the specialist support they need to cope. 

In the UK, there are already over one million people living with dementia, and this will increase to 1.4 million by 2040. 

Dementia UK is a values-driven charity, providing specialist dementia support and advice for families through our Admiral Nurse services. The role 

This is an exciting time to join Dementia UK. Over the past twelve years, the charity has grown from 24 to over 300 staff, from £1m to a £31m turnover, and from 84 to 479 Admiral Nurses. Continuing to increase the number of Admiral Nurses remains at the heart of our new strategy, and the Director of Finance will be pivotal in ensuring this growth is sustainable, strategic, and impactful. 

As a key member of the Executive Team, you will work closely with the CEO, Executive colleagues, and the Board of Trustees. Leading a talented team, you will: 

• Shape and lead financial strategy to support sustainable organisational growth 

• Provide clear, strategic advice to the Executive Team and Board to enable robust decision-making

About you

• Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
