We need volunteers to do lots of different jobs from big too small. Whether it's preparing activities, setting up, speaking to people or helping pack up, there's plenty to do.

What do we need from you?

Your role will help us continue providing vital care and support to Tŷ Hafan children and their families.

About our Talbot Green Shop:

Our Penarth shop seeks to celebrate the town’s diversity in the way our team thoughtfully curates the mixture of preloved items its occupants have generously donated.

We offer high street to designer names, tea sets to linens, vinyl to hatpins, toys and books for all ages and plenty in between. 

Jeff and his team of superstar volunteers will do their best to help you find just the thing and the chance to buy a winning lottery ticket, too.

Considerations:

Age requirement: 16+

Location: 2 Ely Valley Rd, Talbot Green, Pontyclun CF72 8AP  

Commitment:Our shops operate Monday-Saturday, 9am-4:45pm and we appreciate any time you can spare, but ideally at least 2 hours per week.

There are over 4000 parks in Greater London. We aim to map them all with useful information for local residents and visitors to London. We also support people that help look after their local parks.

Using your good networking skills and organisational abilities, this role handles the marketing and promotion of the GoParks projects: the website, its map, providing supportive information to Friends’ groups who champion their local parks in collaboration with the London Friends of Greenspaces Network (LFGN).

You'll be joining a small team who focus on this initiative under the CPRE London umbrella. With your support we can do even more! Comms and PR volunteers have an essential role in spreading the word about our work and engaging with new groups and supporters in our area.

By volunteering with us you’ll be helping to find positive solutions for the issues facing the countryside and the environment. By applying your skills and experience you can make a real difference and be a central part of a friendly and passionate charity.

We’re ideally looking for volunteers with experience in networking, managing promotional social media channels for professional or personal use, who can preferably offer us an ongoing commitment. To maximise effectiveness in this role and to make it a beneficial experience for you, a 6 month or ongoing commitment is preferred. 

Working pattern 

Hours: 7-14 hours per week 

Pattern: delivery can be flexible but availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays (popular part time working days) would be beneficial. Location: Hybrid - with weekly office attendance on one of the above days.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Voluntary Assistant to the Executive Assistant, who will directly support the Executive Assistant to the Founder in the day-to-day coordination, administration, and communications of the CIC.

You will play a vital role in helping the team stay organised, efficient, and connected as we expand our operations, events, and fundraising programmes.

This is an unpaid voluntary position for someone passionate about helping build a movement that fights CSA and supports survivors across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Assistant in managing schedules, meetings, and communications.

• Assist with preparing reports, tracking project tasks, and ensuring follow-ups through Asana.

• Help organise and document team meetings, training sessions, and fundraising events.

• Communicate with internal departments, volunteers, and external partners in a professional and sensitive manner.

• Assist with digital organisation — filing, cloud storage management, and shared document control.

• Help prepare correspondence, press materials, or short summaries for the Founder or senior team.

• Occasionally attend virtual or in-person meetings to take notes and ensure next steps are actioned.

• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling information related to CSA, survivors, and internal operations.

At St John Ambulance, we are looking to embed ourselves within our communities, delivering support which is tailored to the needs of those communities whilst providing a positive experience for our Volunteers.

We need leaders who are passionate about making a difference in their communities, who care about helping and developing others, who will lead and inspire a volunteer movement across a geographical area to deliver Community First Aid, Community Education and Community Fundraising as well as develop our offering for young people. Our Shop Volunteers raise money for the people we support with a Learning Disability. Do you have a few hours a week to spare and share your time with us?

Our retail roles are varied and fun. You could be sorting donations from the public, dressing our window or serving customers on the till. There are many people from different walks of life and it's a great way to get practical experience and to meet new people.

This role will take place on a weekly basis for a few hours We will try our best to be flexible around the best time for you, but also need to consider the store opening times and volunteer rota. It could be a weekday or weekend, morning or afternoon, our stores are usually open 7 days a week. We’d appreciate any time that you can spare.

Whilst in the store, you will help with activities based on the needs of the Store Manager.

Tasks you could get up to whilst volunteering could include:

• Serving customers on the till
• Taking stock donations from the public
• Tagging and steaming stock for the shop floor
• Dressing the window displays
• Asking people to join us as a volunteer

Who are we?

We are Buttons & Bubbles CIC. We work with children, young people, families and other professionals associated and affected by illness and disability. We have several different services including inclusive characters, sensory workshops, resources, events, advocacy and more.

What are we looking for?

Do you enjoy art? Graphic design? Are you an amazing illustrator? Then we might just have a project for you. One of our aims is to have every type of disability in every culture, religion and ethnicity depicted through our characters. And yes, we know that’s going to mean a lot of hard work and a lot of characters! But NO we are not asking you to complete this entire project!

We’ve created 11 characters so far that depict a variety of conditions. We want to look at potentially re-developing these characters and starting work on some new ones!

What do we expect?

• Be willing to undertake our training programme which will be done virtually and at a time to suit you.

• Have an Enhanced DBS check (preferably be on the update system)

Why we want you:
Food banks provide three-day emergency food parcels for people in crisis, volunteering in partnership with organisations across the community. Through our social media platforms, we are aiming to gain support for our activity as a food bank and raise awareness in our local community of the drivers pushing people into poverty in order to inspire local people to take action and support us. We are looking for a Social Media volunteer to help oversee and drive this important activity forward and enable us to elevate the voice of food bank staff, volunteers, and those with first-hand experience of hardship.

• Lead the development and delivery of our social media and communications plan.

• Westbury-on-Trym - Wednesdays, 10:00-12:00

The role involves

• Welcoming older people who are new to the FAB café
• Facilitating conversation and activities in the group
