Job Title: Engagement & Activity Practitioner

Salary:  £26,854 per annum (increasing to £29,838 per annum after 18 months) + £750 per annum Homeworking Allowance and £4,184 London weighting per annum- (if eligible)

Hours: 35 Hours per week 

Contract: Permanent Role

Location: Home-based, with regular travel required to support children and young people in foster families in South London & South-East. Travel also requires the postholder to attend staff meetings and team away days in South/East London

As an Engagement and Activity Practitioner, you will be a part of our amazing team of professionals working with our organisational values at the heart of their everyday practice.

We are looking for someone with experience in running group and individual activities and who is willing to engage in physical activities with children and young people.  

This role requires the candidate to meet with children and young people in person across the South London & South-East regions, and to work flexibly around hours and days, including weekends.

The successful candidate will be required to attend regular monthly face-to-face meetings in London, as well as other face-to-face meetings such as training and team wellbeing events.

Overall Duties of the Engagement & Activity Practitioner will include:

• Being an accessible point of contact for the children living with our carers and to our young people, keeping them up to date with the facilities and opportunities available with TACT.
• Supporting interventions and activities to ensure stable placement arrangements.
• Being able to transport children and young people to events, appointments and meetings (mileage reimbursed).
• Organising and participating in virtual and face-to-face events and occasional residential meet-ups.
• Managing all paperwork associated with events and activities.
• Willingness to work flexibly, according to deadlines and needs of our families.
• Undertaking trauma-informed direct work with children and young people.
• Liaising with our Supervising Social Worker team.

The Coach’s role will be to engage with our adult beneficiaries, supporting them to identify and achieve their aspirations for themselves and for their families.

Adopting a holistic, person-centred approach, she will support beneficiaries both to reach short term goals (through the delivery of Information, Advice and Guidance) and to develop the resources, skills and behaviours necessary to make longer term progress (through Coaching) across the five ‘pillars’ of our social mobility framework:

We currently have 3 Social Mobility Coaches on the team.  Whilst supporting women across all five pillars, each Coach has specific areas of responsibility, which may change from time to time.  We anticipate that for the first twelve months of employment at least, this new Coach will have specific responsibility for building out our Employment offer.

We are seeking a Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager to manage vital supporter partnerships to further our shared goal to end hunger worldwide. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy to shape the Trusts and Foundations strategy and deliver ambitious income targets. They will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing Trusts and Foundations partnerships, and also play a pivotal role in developing the fundraising stream.

The right candidate will be a self-starter who is highly motivated and passionate about ending world hunger. They must bring significant experience of identifying and developing new partnerships, securing high value gifts, and ongoing partnership management. They will excel at supporter stewardship and building meaningful, mutually beneficial partnerships that meet shared goals.  A creative thinker, with excellent written and verbal communications skills, their ownership of the Trust and Foundation pipeline will take the channel from strength to strength.
