We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Information & Advice Generalist Adviser to join our team at Age UK Bromley & Greenwich.

In this role, you will provide vital information, advice and practical support to older people, their carers and families, helping them to navigate challenges around welfare benefits, housing, care and other key areas of later life.

You will work directly with clients through appointments, telephone and email, as well as taking part in outreach and occasional home visits. This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same, requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail and a calm, empathetic approach.

Alongside delivering advice, you will support casework, maintain accurate records and work closely with colleagues, volunteers and partner organisations to ensure a joined-up service.

Team Leader - Carer Peer Support (Adult Mental Health)

£34,101 FTE, pro rata 28 hours per week, great benefits!

We are looking for someone to join our local, independent Carer-led charity, someone who has their own personal story of caring, able to use that lived experience as well as their professional skills and knowledge to help others. The postholder will collaborate extensively with our funding partner, South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, as well as other charity delivery partners to improve the identification of, and support for, unpaid family and friend Carers of adults with mental health needs. The work may also involve identifying children and young people in caring roles and brokering access to our Young Carers Support team.

As well as leading a small, part-time team of Carer Peer Support Workers, you will work alongside them, providing front-line, individual and group dedicated support (practical, social and clinical interventions). As well as coordinating services to assist Carers with their own wellbeing needs, you will enable Carers to provide well-informed care for their friends and family. You also will be our representative for the MH Trusts’ Triangle of Care Steering Group.

We are looking for a Partnerships Officer to join our busy and ambitious Corporate Partnerships team.  You will help build and grow meaningful relationships with businesses that support our mission to tackle hunger. You will manage a portfolio of small to medium-sized corporate partners, providing excellent stewardship to maximise fundraising, deepen engagement and ensure partnerships continue to grow in value and impact.

You will also support the development of key strategic partnerships and contribute to the delivery of high-profile campaigns with the hospitality and restaurant sector. Alongside this, you will help identify and cultivate new corporate supporters through prospect research, proposals and outreach, working collaboratively across the organisation to strengthen partnerships and generate sustainable income for our work.

You will be joining our Partnerships team at an exciting time as we continue to deliver against our outcome focused strategy, which puts partnership at the heart of all that we do. About The Role
At Alzheimer’s Society, every action we take is about making life better for people living with dementia and their carers. What You Will Do
Every day in this role is about people and purpose. You will care for a diverse caseload of around 300 pecuniary and specific legacies, guiding them with sensitivity, professionalism, and empathy. You will build trusting relationships with solicitors, executors, co-beneficiaries, and other stakeholders, helping them navigate what can be a complex and emotional process.
Your work will ensure that all legal requirements are met and that every legacy is handled with integrity. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Legacy team, sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and contributing to projects that keep our work running smoothly.
You will also help raise awareness of legacy giving, making connections with key stakeholders and helping secure vital income for the Society. Every receipt you issue, every file you progress, and every relationship you nurture directly helps people living with dementia and their families.

You will have the opportunity to develop expertise across residuary and trust legacies while building your professional skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. About You

- Have experience in Legacy Administration or a willingness to learn, with familiarity with First Class 4 or similar systems
- Have some understanding of Wills, Probate, or Trust law, or be keen to develop this knowledge
- Be working towards, or interested in, an ILM Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration or similar professional development
- Be able to thrive in a busy administrative environment, balancing multiple priorities independently or as part of a supportive team
- Be comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- organised self-starter with attention to detail and pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work
- Communicate sensitively and professionally, showing empathy and respect to colleagues, stakeholders, and people affected by dementia
