About you

Desirably you will have some experience of working as an Advocate, providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support.

You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.

 How are staff supported to work remotely?

 VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, working in partnership with Turning Point and Antidote, provide the City and Hackney Recovery service. A full integrated service, shaped by the community needs and voices of service users, carers, families, & communities, all staff and volunteers will contribute to substance misuse recovery, social inclusion and improving the quality of life of all our service users in the City of London and Hackney borough. This Recovery Worker role will support male service users on the non-opiate pathway and keywork a caseload, supporting service users to decide their goals around treatment and develop plans to achieve these. The caseload would consist primarily of male service users with complexities such as mental health complexities, prior criminal conviction, and external risk factors.

We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisers to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.

What you will do:

· Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.

· Work on a 7-day shift system including evening and weekends

· Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding.

· Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role at the heart of the Charity, offering a unique opportunity to work closely with the CEO of a dynamic and life-saving Charity. As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will provide comprehensive, high-quality executive support that enables the CEO to focus on strategic priorities, external engagement, and organisational leadership. To enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and prevent homelessness by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.

What you'll do:

* Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Manager
* Ensure that referrals to the service are managed effectively and in line with the referrals and assessment procedure
* Undertake initial and assessments and continuous reviews of support needs and potential risks, and agree levels of support and actions
* Create and review support/ action plans for providing appropriate housing-related support based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
* Develop and maintain links with key agencies and service providers in the local community
* Empower customers to ensure they receive the benefits and services they are entitled to
* Signpost customers to support services that can help them address additional support needs such as mental or physical health, employment and education, adult social care, domestic abuse and family support
* Encourage and enable customers to pay their rent and other housing-related costs, and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the relevant housing provider
* Encourage and enable customers to adhere to all other conditions of their tenancies/ licences, eg maintaining a satisfactory living environment, refraining from anti-social behaviour, allowing access for essential work
* Encourage and enable customers to take necessary steps to seeking and preparing for alternative accommodation where maintaining their current housing situation is unsuitable or unviable
* Ensure that all safeguarding concerns are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Contract Manager/Head of Operations, as appropriate
* Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive customer records to professional standards
* Adhere to Look Ahead's Policies and Procedures
* Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
* Work closely with the team and communicate openly
* Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned by the manager within the remit of the service and contract.

About the role

Working within local community settings and alongside community groups to deliver advice and rights awareness workshops, you will ensure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their stories and views, participating in the design and delivery of Shelter services. Offering day to day support to volunteers, providing learning, shadowing and mentoring and being a consistent role model for our values are also key aspects of the role.

About you

You will be able to work with individuals and communities including people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have experience and knowledge of housing and homelessness advice and advocacy as well as the ability to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records, advise and support your clients to make informed decisions. You have a strong track record of delivering group workshops and presentations and collaborate with others to get the job done.

Skin Camouflage Practitioner Co-ordinator (Wales)
Hours: Part-time 22.2 hours / week (preference for 15.7 hours spread across 2-3 days per week, plus one 6.5 hour clinic day required (on either Tuesday or Friday).
Location: Hybrid: Mainly home based; one clinic day a week in Bridgend (Tuesday or Friday).

Main purpose of the role

Changing Faces are launching a brand-new pilot Skin Camouflage Service in South Wales. We’re looking for a dedicated and organised Skin Camouflage Practitioner Coordinator to help make it happen.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver in-person Skin Camouflage appointments, supporting people with visible differences.
• Promote the service and build connections with local communities and health professionals.
• Support the new service set-up, including clinics, documentation, and Welsh translations.
• Coordinate and administrate appointments remotely and manage client enquiries.
• Signpost clients to other Changing Faces services as needed.
• Contribute to service development alongside the wider team.

We are seeking a professional, empathetic individual with strong administrative skills and either experience or a talent in cosmetic artistry or colour matching. A background in nursing, therapy, or another healthcare role would be an advantage in the clinic-based environment.

Following training, the role will involve delivering one 6.5-hour weekday clinic per week. In this setting, you will provide Skin Camouflage colour matching, application, tuition, and guidance to individuals affected by a visible difference.

In addition, you will work 15.7 hours remotely across 2–3 weekdays. This part of the role includes:

• Promoting the Skin Camouflage Service across Wales.
• Coordinating service setup, including documentation and translation.
• Building relationships with healthcare professionals and community partners.
• Managing appointments and client enquiries via phone and email.
• Maintaining databases and supporting the smooth, efficient running of clinics.

You will be an integral part of our Skin Camouflage team, helping to administrate and deliver a compassionate, professional service that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

We are looking for

• Fluent in Welsh and English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills to engage clearly, logically, and appropriately with a wide range of audiences.
• Proven administrative ability, including the efficient use of administration systems, and confident use of the Microsoft Office suite, video conferencing tools, and CRM platforms (Salesforce experience is an advantage but not essential).
• Experience or natural talent in cosmetic artistry or colour matching, with an excellent eye for colour and visual detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen empathetically and support vulnerable clients, while maintaining professional boundaries and emotional resilience.
• Good understanding of policies and procedures, particularly in relation to safeguarding, and a strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of clients, staff, and volunteers.

We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisers to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.

What you will do:

· Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.

· Work on a 7-day shift system

· Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding. 

· Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.

· Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise. 

· Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.

To be successful in this role you will have:

· a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline

· previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health

· a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people

· experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels

· the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service

Salary: £31,454 per annum (Scale point 24) progressing by increments to £34,776 per annum (Scale point 28) As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £173.00 per month based on working 4 nights per week.

Hours:  33 hours per week

Working arrangements:  This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 7:40am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.  33 hours will be based upon working 4 nights shifts per week.
