Job role

We’re looking for a Head of Early Years to lead and grow a key area of our organisation. This is a strategic leadership role with hands-on responsibility for driving high-quality provision and expanding our Early Years offer across Birmingham and Coventry. You’ll oversee our existing nursery while leading the development of up to four new settings in line with our five-year growth plan. Reporting to the Director of Business, Community and Youth Services, you’ll work closely with senior leaders to align Early Years with our wider organisational goals.

Key responsibilities include:

· Lead curriculum development and quality improvement across all nursery settings, starting with Billy Bears, in line with EYFS and Ofsted standards.

· Provide strategic leadership as part of the Senior Management Team, shaping early years direction, staff performance, and growth plans across Birmingham and Coventry.

· Line manage Nursery Managers and support a strong, values-driven team culture focused on reflective practice and child-led provision.

· Oversee safeguarding, compliance, and preparation for Ofsted inspections, maintaining inclusive, high-quality early years environments.

· Build partnerships with families, external agencies, and local authorities to support children’s development and community engagement.

We are looking for a highly engaging Volunteering and Community Partnerships Manager to lead and grow on the recruitment, development and retention of our pool of volunteers. You will work across the team to ensure all volunteers are well-supported, feel valued, and are making meaningful contributions to the charities mission. You will also plan and organise a calendar of fundraising and community events for the charity.

Step-Out Mentoring is an early intervention mentoring organisation that provides support for children and young people in the heart of South London through outdoor based 1:1 mentoring and group workshops. We work with children and young people aged 8-18 who are disengaged with education and/or life, referred to our service from Social care, GP’s, Mental health services and schools. Our mentors are all volunteers from the community who are trained to become youth mentors and matched to young people for weekly mentoring sessions.

Our mission is to equipe young people with the skills and emotional resilience to thrive in life. We provide a safe environment for disengaged children and young people to work through their challenges and reconnect with the community.

As a small and growing charity our staff team are embedded in all aspects of the work we do so it is encouraged that all staff engage in the activities with the young people including trips, residentials, mentoring and workshops. 

You will be leading on ensuring the charity has a steady stream of passionate volunteers and will be able to provide excellent support for them as they start their journeys of mentoring young people. You will also be leading on organising a yearly events calandar of community events and fundraisers. Which would include a Live Music event, expedition challenge (e.g hiking up mount Snowdon) plus family freindly fun days. St Peter’s Hospice is seeking a passionate and dynamic Hospice Neighbour Engagement Manager to lead a community-based project that brings vital social and practical support to patients in their own homes.

The Role

Pregnant Then Screwed’s Tribunal Mentor Programme is a peer-to-peer support service for women and parents taking legal action against an employer for pregnancy and maternity discrimination. We match mentees with volunteer mentors who have been through the Employment Tribunal process themselves for 12 weeks of support through weekly calls. We relaunched the programme in October 2025, and now, with funding from The National Lottery, we are looking for a part time Support Services Coordinator to help us grow and maintain new mentoring matches. 

As the Support Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting and inducting mentees and volunteers onto the programme and supporting matches throughout their journey. You’ll also drive engagement with the programme, and develop recruitment strategies for potential volunteers and mentees. 

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the Tribunal Mentor Programme and volunteers. 

• Welcoming new mentee and mentor applicants to the programme through 121 and group calls. 

• Recruitment and engagement of new volunteers and participants. 

• Monitoring our Community WhatsApp groups and responding to enquiries.

• Hosting regularly mentor and mentee online check-ins.

• Researching further support and signposting options for mentees.

• General administrative tasks, including managing volunteer and mentoring data, supporting the Head of Support Services with reporting data and responding to general enquiries. 

• Supporting our Head of Support Services with volunteer training, policy and process development. 

• Supporting other Support Services projects where necessary.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Volunteer engagement - demonstrated through experience managing or coordinating volunteers.
• Diversity, equity and inclusion focus, able to demonstrate a deep understanding of (and confidence in discussing) anti-oppression. 
• Engaging written and verbal communication skills - demonstrated through a proven ability to craft engaging newsletters, social posts or discussion prompts.
• Mentee and mentor growth and retention - demonstrated through experience in growing and sustaining a befriending or mentoring programme (or transferable skills from other types of service user engagement)
• Technologically proficient and confident - demonstrated through experience using Beacon or other CRM systems and digital work tools.

What We Offer 

• Flexible working is embedded in our culture with employees working different hours, and days of the week. 

• 34 days annual leave, including statutory bank holidays. This is pro-rata for part-time staff. 

• Paid leave between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

• Acting as the main point of contact for the volunteer network (comprising Chelsea FC staff, Foundation staff and other stakeholders such as corporate partners and supporters).
• Working collaboratively across the Foundation’s Programmes, Fundraising and Club HR teams to identify volunteer needs and design appropriate roles and responsibilities.
•  Overseeing the engagement and training of volunteers, particularly those of our corporate partners, ensuring consistently positive experiences.
• Leading on coordinating, administering and facilitating smooth delivery of volunteering activities and engagements.
• Working with the Impact and Evaluation team to capture outcomes, analyse feedback and consistently improve the volunteering offer.
• Producing regular reports on volunteer engagement and impact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring all volunteering activity complies with health, safety, safeguarding and legal standards
• Maintaining accurate volunteer records and ensuring compliance with Data Protection requirements.
• Championing a culture of volunteering across the Club and Foundation, celebrating contributions, showcasing impact, and ensuring volunteers feel valued and motivated. 
• Providing additional support to the Fundraising team as and when required.
• Successful delivery of a high-quality volunteering programme that meets Foundation and Club objectives.
• Positive feedback from volunteers, partners and staff, with evidence of impact shared.

About This Job

This is an exciting role in the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) to be the focal point for providing effective support to the Director of Finance and the Finance Manager through the completion of month end, year end and audit, and associated processes. This post requires a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our charity’s finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with charity regulations, and supporting the organisation’s mission through sound financial management.

Essential Skills

· AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent)

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Derbyshire Cricket Foundation (DCF) is the Governing Body for recreational cricket in Derbyshire, delivering services in support of the cricket community across the county.  It is one of 39 County Cricket Boards/Foundations in England & Wales and works in partnership with a number of key stakeholders to develop the recreational game locally in line with the strategy developed by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The Business Development Manager will develop and leverage local partnerships with sponsors, stakeholders, and funding bodies to support these aims.

The primary work location for the Business Development Manager will be at the County Ground, Nottingham Road, Derby, but the role will require travel on a regular basis as the role will be proactive in engaging stakeholders across Derbyshire in support of the DCF strategy and business plan.
