About the role

As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Being connected to the RNLI community in your area and the primary point of contact for all things engagement (fundraising, retail and visitor experience)
• Empowering volunteer engagement crew to do what they do best, engaging the public, sharing our RNLI vision and growing support for our cause
• Supporting volunteer engagement crew to achieve key income, footfall and contact goals and seeking ways to engage new audiences
• Being part of an amazing regional team, working collaboratively to shape the future of RNLI engagement and provide an outstanding level of care to staff, volunteers and supporters

The Compliance & Recruitment Officer plays a vital role supporting the Recruitment and Compliance Team Partners to ensure that our recruitment and onboarding processes for permanent staff, temporary workers, and volunteers align with regulatory requirements and maintain the integrity and compliance of our hiring practice.

As a Compliance & Recruitment Officer you will deliver a high quality and responsive service to prospective candidates, recruiting managers and business stakeholders. In addition, you serve as a subject matter expert to the People Team and the wider organisation, ensuring that we prioritise the safeguarding of the children and young people right from the start of an employee’s recruitment and onboarding journey. 

Skills and Responsibilities 

On-Boarding & Compliance

• Coordinate all aspects of the onboarding and compliance process and ensure that the processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner, including: issuing contracts, pre-employment compliance checks, and keying new starters/setting up new starters on the onboarding system.
• Ensure the accurate entry and maintenance of data onto the relevant HR Systems/ spreadsheets, by employing robust quality assurance and due diligence measures.
• Be the subject matter expert for Access Recruit & Onboarding and Better Impact for the team, the candidates/onboardees and the wider organisation
• Monitor and maintain ongoing compliance requirements across staff files, including (but not limited to): Right to Work documentation (i.e. valid Visas and passports); Professional Registrations; Dr’s professional insurance, etc.
• Ensure that all aspects of DBS process are managed in accordance with policy/procedures
• Assist the Recruitment & Compliance Manager in preparing, analysing and producing relevant reports and statistics.
• Conduct audit checks on new starters, volunteer and temporary worker files and report back to team to ensure continuous improvement and accuracy of data collected.
• Coordinate and/or supervise a regular and continuous calendar of personnel file reviews and audits, to ensure and maintain regulatory compliance, and where relevant escalate non- compliance issues to the Compliance Partner and/or the Recruitment & Compliance Manager.
• Assist in the coordination and delivery of an annual audit of CQC and Ofsted standards, across relevant business areas, e.g. The Children’s Trust School.
• Proactively maintain an up-to-date knowledge of our associated regulatory requirements, highlighting any updates and subsequent implications as soon as reasonably practical.
• Impart expertise and knowledge by delivering training sessions for new starters on compliance processes.
• In collaboration with the Organisation Development Team ensure the delivery of a seamless and engaging On-boarding and Induction experience for new staff and volunteers.

Recruitment & Selection

• Be responsible for the recruitment, on-boarding and compliance process for all types of permanent employees, Bank employees, temporary workers and volunteers. 
• Maintain the administration of recruitment and onboarding records, ensuring that these are complete and accurate
• Ensure all recruitment activities and the candidate life-cycle are underpinned by our Promises, whilst adhering to current employment legislation including Disclosure & Barring Service, Care Quality Commission, Ofsted, KCSIE and all policies and procedures
• Maintain an up-to-date list of vacancies, and ensure that all vacancies are advertised internally and/ or externally, in a timely manner.
• Support the Recruitment Team in the review and implementation of new and progressive recruitment initiatives, e.g. Employee Referral Scheme; Graduate Programmes; Apprenticeships; and overseas recruitment, with a view to increase the diversity and skill set of our workforce, across the organisation.
• Support the Recruitment & Compliance Partners with advertising vacancies, as well as the organisation and delivery of recruitment events and campaigns.
• Support the Recruitment & Compliance Manager with Bank Administrator recruitment and management of assignments.
• Supervise and coordinate the daily work tasks of team Bank Administration or Volunteer support, ensuring that all administrative aspects of the recruitment process are delivered to regulatory standards, on time and in a professional manner.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

People Team Support

• Where required, contribute to the collation of relevant recruitment and compliance data, ensuring that these are complete and accurate, in order to support the preparation, analysis and production of relevant service reports, e.g. recruitment KPIs, time to hire (on-boarding KPIs), SCR school reports, right to work/visa reporting.
• Build strong internal and external relationships and provide a first class, added value service, to all staff and external partners/ customers.
• Where required, provide additional support on specific People Team projects, as informed by and agreed with the Recruitment & Compliance Manager.
• Assist in the streamlining and automation of processes to improve operational efficiency

About the Campaigns and Public Affairs Manager role

In this varied and exciting position, you will manage high profile WI campaigns and play a key role in achieving change on key issues affecting women and their community.

The Campaigns and Public Affairs Manager provides essential management of the Public Affairs team and its activities- including campaigning, lobbying, research and policy work- whilst working closely with the Director of Campaigns and Membership to maintain a strategic overview of the department’s work.

You will be responsible for devising appropriate lobbying strategies to achieve our key objectives, responding to governmental policy and consultation papers and supporting the NFWI’s media work in relation to all campaigning and Public Affairs activity.

About you

Experienced in all aspects of campaigning and lobbying, with a strong understanding of current affairs and issues across the policy spectrum, you will be adept at taking a campaign from start to finish, whilst developing impactful influencing strategies in a political context. You will be a confident line manager, with experience of supporting and overseeing your team’s performance, development and wellbeing.

The ability to represent the NFWI externally- to civil servants, government departments and external organisations- as well as working closely with volunteers and members at a grassroots level is also key.

An understanding of key policy issues relating to areas such as women’s health or the environment would also be desirable, however your passion for helping the WI achieve its mission by making a difference every day will be the key to your success in the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor developments in education, skills and related policy areas, identifying what they mean for young people and Young Enterprise’s work.
• Support the development of Young Enterprise’s policy positions through research, analysis and evidence gathering.
• Help plan and deliver public affairs and stakeholder engagement activities, including events, parliamentary briefings and meetings.
• Contribute to campaigns that aim to influence policy and raise the profile of issues affecting young people.
• Draft high-quality written outputs such as consultation responses, meeting notes, articles and social media content.
• Support policy networks and relationships, including Secretariat support for the APPG for Financial Education for Young People.
• Work closely with colleagues across programmes, research, communications and fundraising to align policy priorities and messaging.
• Coordinate the practical organisation of policy events, meetings and stakeholder communications. 

A few practical things

• This is a hybrid role, with a minimum requirement to work from our London office in Brunswick Square at least 8 days per month.
• The role involves regular travel to Westminster for meetings and events, and occasional travel to other parts of the UK.
• Occasional evening and weekend work will be required for events, with time off in lieu provided.
• There are no specific physical or manual handling requirements associated with this role.

Your main duties will include:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/Counselling Psychological Lead to work with an innovative and friendly multidisciplinary adult team at our London Centre.

You will manage and coordinate a team of highly skilled and dedicated clinicians, in the service delivery of a range of NICE guideline recommended therapy interventions, offered to our clients, who are survivors of torture and organised violence. You will report to the Head of Clinical Services, London and operate as an integral part of the London Clinical Services Team. About the role

This is a wide-ranging position, and your key areas of responsibility will include:

· To manage a multi-disciplinary team, including paid staff and volunteers from different professions and disciplines and provide professional and clinical supervision to qualified clinicians and trainees in the service including, clinical/counselling psychologists.

· This role may also include providing remote clinical supervision, support and advice as well as line management and guidance around risk and safeguarding to clinicians across our other centres as required.  

· To ensure that Freedom from Torture's clinical model continues to be fully rolled out, with particular emphasis on survivor empowerment and evidence-based practice for addressing PTSD and other mental health impacts of torture.

· Championing people development as well as influence delivery of evidenced -based practice, clinical standards, quality initiatives and audit-based services.

· To formulate psychological treatment and management plans for survivors of torture and to provide psychological treatment for a small caseload, using a range of psychological interventions in line with our clinical pathway that draws on a range of evidence based models for the treatment of survivors of torture.

· Being an effective role model and leader to encourage, develop and enhance skills of others.

About you

This is an important role within Freedom from Torture. To be successful in this role you must have a high level of commitment to maintaining excellent standards of client care and service delivery. It is a key requirement that you must have knowledge of appropriate clinical standards and external regulatory bodies. You must also have sound financial awareness and experience of balancing the provision of quality care against budgetary parameters.

To be considered for this role you must be a Psychologist registered with HCPC and have qualified with a doctorate or equivalent in either clinical or counselling psychology. You must have professional experience of working with clients with complex PTSD and have post-qualification experience of using evidence-based trauma focused therapy models. It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the experience of refugees and people seeking asylum, both in terms of pre-flight experience and the experience of living in exile. You must have previous management and supervision experience and be able to provide demonstrable examples of how you have successfully led and influenced clinical teams within community or health care settings.

We also offer access to additional therapy training including NET and EMDR,  as well as access to high quality clinical supervision and an opportunity to hold a small case load alongside your management practice

You will also have the opportunity to closely with the Head of Clinical Services and to attend a range of forums and working groups to support the clinical development of Freedom from Torture.
