About the Role
As a critical member of the strategic leadership team (SLT) for Emmaus UK, the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development will take lead responsibility for ensuring the provision of high-quality support, advice, capacity building and grant-making for federation members in the UK.
The postholder will play a key role in the development of national strategic partnerships and will collaborate with federation members to ensure that federation strategic priorities are delivered and that our colleagues across the federation are able to do their very best work supporting people to overcome homelessness and poverty.
The role will also ensure effective programme and project management of directorate projects and work to embed cross-directorate working and co-operation.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. We are looking for someone with the confidence to develop a new support offer for Surrey. This new post offers the opportunity to work in the WiSE team in Surrey in an exciting new role which has two strands to it; providing targeted early intervention peer group sessions to young people (up to 25 years,) who have been identified by their educational placement as being vulnerable too sexual or criminal exploitation. The role also entails working alongside Education and other agencies to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls by creating and facilitating training to teachers of the PSHE curriculum in both Primary and Secondary schools in Surrey. The successful applicant will be supported in the role through Reflective Supervision Practice, along with regular one-to-ones.
This role will be based out of a Police Station in Surrey, which can be discussed at interview. There will be frequent travel and it is essential you hold a current driving license and have access to your own car.

The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.

The closing date for applications will be Wednesday 5th June 2024. If successful you will be invited to formal and practical interviews. You must be able to attend both interviews in one week and can last up to 1.5 hours.
