We are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Volunteer for the Cardiff and Vale Group. As a Health and Safety Volunteer you’ll make sure all local group members are aware of their health and safety responsibilities. You’ll help them understand and follow guidelines and procedures to coordinate safe activities.

In this role you’ll gain knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, as well as develop your organisation, admin and communication skills. Most importantly you’ll help your local group make sure all their activities are safe for every member of your local MS community. 

Time commitment

We estimate this role will need around 2 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.

Content Planner Role Overview: Wekume’s Content Planners work on a team to build out our monthly content calendars. You will report to the Social Media Lead and work closely with our Platform Managers who handle our day-to-day social media presence. Our Platform Managers have what they need at the moment they are ready to post because you will coordinate between them and our Marketing, Digital Graphics, and Videography teams. You will employ your vision and skill for future planning to build out our long term strategy.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop monthly content calendars based on approved content pillars (Education, Inspiration, Community, Fun, etc.).
2. Collaborate with writers, designers, and the social media team to ensure content ideas are aligned with Wekume’s brand voice.
3. Coordinate SRH Tip Days (Tuesdays) and Throwback Days (Thursdays) into the monthly content plan.
4. Integrate key dates like health awareness weeks, university calendars, and Wekume event dates into content planning.
5. Ensure all content is factually accurate, culturally sensitive, and age-appropriate.
6. Work closely with the analytics team to review content performance and adjust strategies for future calendars.
7. Maintain an archive of all published content for historical tracking and future repurposing.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in content planning, social media management, or digital marketing.
2. Strong organizational skills.
3. Excellent understanding of youth culture, university life, and SRH issues.
4. High level of emotional intelligence—able to handle sensitive topics with respect and professionalism.
5. Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
6. Familiarity with scheduling tools like Later, Hootsuite, or Buffer
7. Good communication skills—able to pitch ideas clearly and defend content strategies.

Ganddee is London's discovery platform connecting shoppers to local second-hand shops, car boot sales, flea markets and thrifting events - think 'google maps for thrifting'.

We're building London's biggest thrifting community. To that end, we're looking for volunteers who share our love for thrifting and circularity.

Living in London (or the UK) would be ideal for the role given that we're mostly active there. However, if you live somewhere else and love what we do, we're happy to chat to see how you can join the team and help out!

As part of this role, you’ll contribute directly to vital environmental research through data input, cleansing and preliminary analysis. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a foundation in conservation data who is eager to deepen their skills and gain hands-on experience.

3. Using Canva to produce exciting visual content for use across SEED’s social media accounts, ensuring that all brand guidelines are adhered to. 
4. Monitoring and reporting on performance KPIs for SEED’s online output. 
5. Support the management and arrangement of SEED Madagascar’s image drive, suggesting images that are appropriate for use in our online output from a bank of photographs.
6. Gain a detailed understanding of all of SEED’s programmes.
7. Any other tasks the Media and Communications Officer deems necessary within the broad remit

Over past decades, enormous advances have been made in our understanding of MS. Research has got us to a critical point, and we can see a future where nobody needs to worry about their MS getting worse. Our Stop MS Appeal needs to raise £100 million to find treatments for everyone with MS.

Our Stop MS Champions help us reach more people and inspire them to get involved in our Stop MS Appeal by encouraging raising funds and awareness by delivering presentations, attending events and identifying new audiences to speak to. They inspire people to engage with and influence fundraisers and groups, enthuse people and make sure our community’s voice is heard.

As our Lead Stop MS Champion, you’ll motivate your team of Stop MS Champions to help reach more people and inspire them to get involved in our Stop MS Appeal.

By using your ability to motivate and support, you will oversee and lead a team of 5-10 Stop MS Champion volunteers, encouraging them to engage the people they know to raise funds and awareness, and provide reliable information and guidance.

You’ll also network to engage with and influence fundraisers and community groups, enthusing people by delivering presentations at events and finding new audiences to speak to.
