SUNSHINE is a new volunteer-powered start-up charity bursting onto the scene to tackle loneliness with joy, connection, and community spirit across London and beyond. We’re looking for a driven and caring Training Coordinator / Manager to lead the way in equipping our volunteers with the tools, knowledge, and mindset to shine in every role they take on.

What You’ll Do

As SUNSHINE’s first-ever Training lead, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing empowering training programmes — tailored to roles like befriending, events, service delivery, and leadership.

  • Identifying and supporting volunteer development needs — helping individuals grow personally and professionally.

  • Creating induction pathways — ensuring everyone feels welcomed, informed, and ready to contribute.

  • Embedding our values into training — reinforcing compassion, team spirit, and optimism.

  • Collaborating with other leaders — ensuring training aligns with our goals and reflects the SUNSHINE culture.

This role is about more than teaching skills — it’s about unlocking potential.

Ideal candidates are people-focused, organised, and passionate about learning and development. You might have experience in:

  • Volunteer Training: Develop uplifting programmes that build confidence and clarity.
  • Facilitation & Coaching: Empower volunteers through ongoing mentoring and support.
  • Onboarding & Inductions: Create meaningful first steps for new team members.
  • Content Design: Build engaging guides, workshops, and learning materials.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire collaboration and continual growth across the charity.
