Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and creative Volunteer Social Media Specialist to help manage and grow our online presence. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating and publishing daily content across our social media platforms to engage our community, raise awareness, and promote our mission.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in digital communications, build their portfolio, or contribute their skills to a meaningful cause.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, and schedule daily social media content (e.g., posts, stories, reels, tweets) across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok

  • Use visuals, hashtags, and captions effectively to engage the target audience

  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages when appropriate

  • Collaborate with the team to align content with ongoing campaigns, events, or announcements

  • Ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging

  • Track performance of posts and suggest improvements for engagement

  • Stay up to date with trends and best practices in social media

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and current trends

  • Creative mindset with the ability to write engaging content

  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Reliable, organised, and proactive

  • Passion for [insert cause or mission – e.g., youth development, sustainability, mental health, etc.]
