Job description

At The Poors' Houses Charity we help the Woodbridge community by providing low cost housing that is held in trust for local people in housing need.

As a trustee, your role will involve ensuring the charity’s continued success and sustainability, overseeing the ongoing care of the historic properties. You will be part of a small volunteer team responsible for protecting and enhancing a vital community asset, balancing tradition with modern needs.

We require Trustees to reside in the Woodbridge, Suffolk area and be UK citizens.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the properties and residents are properly managed and cared for.
  • Safeguard the legacy of this charitable institution.
  • Guide the future direction of the Charity to meet evolving community needs.
  • Attendance a quarterly trustee meetings
