Position Overview:
The Service Sales Specialist plays a dual role in driving programme enrollment and delivering exceptional service to prospective participants. Focused on sales and outreach, this position generates leads, conducts cold calls, and converts inquiries into enrollments for the employability and skills development programme. With a strong emphasis on meeting sales targets, the CSR will articulate the programme’s value proposition, address concerns, and guide prospects through the enrollment process while maintaining a participant-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Lead Generation:

   • Proactively identify and engage potential participants through cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and community partnerships.

   • Achieve monthly enrollment targets by converting leads into committed participants, tracking conversion rates and pipeline progress.

2. Participant Onboarding:

   • Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries, providing detailed information about programme benefits, eligibility criteria, and enrollment steps.

   • Guide prospects through the application process, ensuring a seamless transition from inquiry to enrollment.

3. Customer Relationship Management (CRM):

   • Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and conversions in the CRM system.

   • Follow up with prospects to address concerns, nurture interest, and close enrollments.

4. Reporting & Feedback:

   • Provide weekly updates to the Programme Lead on sales performance, challenges, and market insights.

   • Share participant feedback to improve programme positioning and outreach strategies.

5. Compliance & Ethics:

   • Adhere to organisational policies and ethical standards in all sales activities, ensuring transparency and respect for participant needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.

• Experience:

  • 2+ years in sales, telemarketing, or customer service roles with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.

  • Experience conducting cold calls, managing leads, and closing conversions.

• Skills:

  • Strong persuasive communication and active listening skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Google products (Forms, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

  • Ability to articulate complex programme details in a clear, motivating manner.

  • Resilience in handling objections and rejection.

Background.

Saddleworth Village Games is a registered Charity in England and Wales since 2016, but the foundation has been running since 1985 and celebrated its 40th year in 2025. The organisation offers sports for children aged seven to 14 in the Saddleworth area that range from athletics, swimming, dodgeball, and netball, including many, many more. Everyone involved in the games is a volunteer and the organisation relies on donations from the competing children’s parents and local business who sponsor the games.

Local businesses sponsoring the games has been in place for the last few years and without their support putting the games on each year wouldn’t be possible without them. The committee are now looking for a strategic partnership officer to work with our sponsors and support them whilst looking to attract new sponsors too.

Sponsors have two options when working with us and these are outlined below.

1. A £1,200 payment per year which is £100 per month where they receive their logo on every page of our website, a full-page advert in our yearly brochure, their logo on each village banner that is displayed at events, the opportunity to have a stall at our opening ceremony and to present a trophy at one of the villages presentation evenings.
2. A £240 a year deal which is £20 a month where they receive half a page advert in our brochure and their logo on one page of our website.

Roles and responsibilities.

• Work with existing sponsors to ensure they want to continue their partnership with us.
• Resolve any issues sponsors may face including making their payments to us or general queries.
•  Identifying new sponsors from the local and wider arear, informing them of their options to sponsor us as outlined above and getting them on board.
• Leasing with our chairman to keep him informed of sponsors, our treasurer to keep them informed of the payment, with our brochure producer to ensure their advert is the correct size and ready for print, plus our website-maintenance team to ensure their logos are online.
• Ensuring payments are received on a monthly basis to ensure the sponsors are making their financial contribution to us and chasing any missed payments where this may occur.
• Inviting our premium sponsors who pay £1,200 a year to our opening ceremony and leasing with the chairman in relation to their stalls they may wish to have at this event. Inviting them to present a trophy at a village presentation night.

Executive Liaison and Oversight 

• Liaise closely with CEO to maintain strategic overview and provide appropriate support.

You and Me Counselling is a charitable organisation established in 2011. We are a counselling and psychotherapy service based in Hornchurch, Essex that works with children, young people, adults, and their families in the boroughs of Havering, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, and Waltham Forest. Our counsellors and therapists work both within schools and from our counselling rooms located in Hornchurch and Ilford.

Job Description

As a trustee you will need to:

• Acknowledge emails at least once a day.
