The Diocese is seeking three individuals to join its Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC). Each will hold expertise in either building accessibility, architecture or heating systems respectively.
The main role of a Committee Member is to contribute to DAC meetings, offering professional or lay expertise in matters relating to church buildings, liturgy, or heritage. To telephone befriendees at their home for approximately 10 to 30 minutes, you will arrange the specific times of your future calls directly with them. These calls are intended to occur once a week, but individual needs will be matched with your availability.To provide a telephone conversation, a listening ear and chat about interests and hobbies, helping to alleviate loneliness and feelings of isolation. No Panic is a national charity helping people to manage their anxiety.
We are looking for empathetic, understanding, confident and driven people to volunteer on our helpline. We are specifically looking for people who have experience of providing training to staff or volunteers.
Working from home, successful applicants will answer helpline calls and provide support and advice for people with a range of anxiety disorders, by listening, offering self-help advice, and providing information about the range of support available from No Panic.
After gaining experience on the helpline, successful applicants will also go on to deliver helpline training courses to new volunteers, currently lasting 8 weeks, and provide ongoing support.

KCF is a professional grant-maker and local philanthropy advisor for Kent and Medway. How we choose our volunteers
We will look at what you write on your application form.
We will invite suitable applicants for an informal interview, which will take place online. Following the interview, you will complete a few quick computer-based tasks.
When will the informal interview take place
We will be looking to meet you online at the beginning of October 2025.
Training we will provide
You will be given self-directed training with remote support from our friendly team on the following areas:
- Research skills
- Managing clients via webchat
- Providing advice
- Dealing with clients at risk of harm
- How to use our systems
The above training will take you about 10 hours to complete in total.
You will also need to complete a few short e-learning courses as part of your training with us. E-learning courses take between 30 mins – 1 hour to complete.
You will also have access to our service-specific training on topics such as:
- The Mental Health Act/ Mental Capacity Act
- The Care Act
- The Equality Act
- The Mental Health System
Time commitments
At present, our webchat facility is open between 9:30am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
Each shift generally runs from 9:00am – 12:30 (morning shift) and 12:30 – 4:00pm (afternoon shift). This allows time to get settled before a shift and tie up any lose ends at the end of a shift.
We would like a commitment from you of at least 1 shift per week.
There may be periods where we ask you to support our team outside of these times to allow for meetings or training sessions.
We also would like a minimum commitment of 9-months. This is to ensure you get the most out of the knowledge and skills gained during training.
Start date
We are looking to recruit volunteers to begin training at the end of October with the intention of starting to work with clients in November 2025.
You won’t be able to start with our service until we have received a satisfactory basic DBS check and verified that you are allowed to volunteer in the UK.
Closing date
The closing date is Sunday 5th October 2025. We may close the vacancy early if we receive a high number of applications.

Every day, disabled people who rely on highly trained assistance dogs face unnecessary barriers. From being refused entry to shops and restaurants, to navigating confusing legal protections. These challenges persist despite the vital role assistance dogs play in giving people greater independence, confidence, and opportunity. Outdated legislation and a lack of clarity around rights and responsibilities mean progress is slow. Change is urgently needed.
That’s where you come in. We are working in partnership with Assistance Dogs UK (ADUK), the umbrella body of 14 accredited assistance dog charities in the UK, to build an Advisory Panel of expert voices to help shape the future of access and protection for assistance dog partnerships. By joining, you will contribute to a vision of a society where disabled people face no barriers, where legislation is clear and enforceable, and where high standards safeguard both people and dogs.
What we’re looking for
Panel members will bring credibility, relevant skills and knowledge, and a commitment to integrity, openness, and collaboration. You will be confident in influencing, communicating clearly, and making an active contribution. The ability to draw on your networks to support the panel’s work is also valuable.
To achieve this, ADUK seeks individuals from the following fields:
- Legal - able to offer insight and guidance on legislative frameworks and legal interpretations
- Lobbying and changemaking
- Advocacy
- Disability rights and access
- Animal welfare
- Strategic communications, marketing or PR
Panel members are expected to:
- Demonstrate high levels of personal credibility, bringing relevant experience, skills and knowledge.
- Conduct themselves with integrity, objectivity, openness, and honesty.
- Demonstrate their capability to be personally effective, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence, and actively contribute.
- Harness relevant networks as required.
Training will be provided on assistance dog standards and/or ADUK policy context.

ADUK work to the highest international standards of assistance dog training and welfare, uniting their member organisations, and systematically changing minds - from policymakers to service providers, through to sector professionals and the general public, using evidence-based advocacy and education to further their objectives.

COSRT is the Professional Body for Psychosexual and Relationship Therapists. We set quality, training, and ethical standards for therapists. We hold two public Registers of therapists who meet or exceed these standards. These cover the disciplines of Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, and Relationship Therapy. We accredit and deliver training. We carry out and support research. And we support the public with information.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for applications for Trustee posions. We are looking for people with the skills described in the Person Specification (below) but are also interested in applications from anyone with a passion to work with others to further develop the provision of high quality therapy for all.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The applicant should have:

Wekume
Wekume is a mobile app empowering university students in Uganda with accessible reproductive health services and personal development opportunities. Addressing barriers like stigma, misinformation, and limited healthcare access, Wekume provides features such as SafeChat for anonymous counseling, QuickTest for HIV testing, ARV Corner for HIV support, and circumcision awareness initiatives. Beyond health, it fosters youth empowerment through a business incubator model, mentorship, and fundraising tools to help students launch enterprises. The app also connects learners to internships, volunteer programs, and cultural exchanges. By combining health access with career-building, Wekume reduces stigma, promotes inclusivity, and supports student growth and opportunity.
Grant Writer
Position Overview
The Grant Writer will play a pivotal role in securing funding to support Wekume’s programmes and initiatives. This role involves identifying grant opportunities, preparing compelling proposals, managing donor relationships, and ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with programme and finance teams to align funding opportunities with organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective public and private funding sources (foundations, trusts, corporate donors, and government agencies).
- Prepare, write, and submit persuasive grant proposals, applications, and letters of inquiry.
- Develop and maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with programme staff to gather information for proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with funder priorities.
- Manage post-award grant compliance, including progress reports, budgets, and evaluations.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential funders, ensuring ongoing engagement and stewardship.
- Monitor grant trends, policies, and donor interests to align with Wekume’s strategic objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of submissions, approvals, rejections, and donor communication.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- Proven experience (2–3 years minimum) in grant writing, fundraising, or development within the non-profit sector.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex programme ideas into clear, compelling proposals.
- Familiarity with donor databases and grant management systems is an asset.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with funders and internal teams.
