That level of scale requires rigorous systems to ensure nothing is lost, duplicated, misused, or unsafe. The Content Librarian / Digital Asset Manager is the role that turns volume into value. This is not a passive admin role. This is infrastructure-building.

The Content Librarian ensures that every piece of content created across the organisation is:

- Tagged

Experience Qualification and Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in digital asset management, content operations, knowledge management, archiving, or media library administration.
- Experience creating and maintaining structured systems (folders, naming rules, tags, metadata) at scale.
- Experience logging and tracking assets accurately, with strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Experience working across teams (creative, campaigns, operations, safeguarding) to coordinate content flow and accountability.
- Highly organised approach with strong file hygiene, documentation discipline, and ability to maintain standards consistently.
- Strong attention to detail, including version control, permissions, approval status tracking, and prevention of misuse.
- Ability to think in systems: designing processes that make content searchable, reusable, and scalable.
- Strong communication skills for clarifying requirements, flagging risks, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain reliability in a high-volume environment.
Desirable experience
- Experience supporting creative teams with admin/ops or project coordination.
- Familiarity with content governance: approvals, safeguarding clearance markers, and usage rights tracking.
- Experience building content calendars or supporting distribution workflows.
Helpful tools (welcomed, not required)

- Qualifications in library studies, information management, or organisational management are desirable.
Main Responsibilities/ Key Duties
- Build and maintain a central digital content library that supports scale, reuse, and consistent access across the CIC.
- Create and manage structured systems for content organisation, including naming conventions, folder structures, tagging rules, and metadata standards.
- Log and catalogue all incoming content from content creators, podcast teams, campaign teams, and ambassadors, ensuring every asset is captured and traceable.
- Track key content status fields, including approval status, usage rights/permissions, platform suitability, and safeguarding clearance.
- Ensure content is easy to find and easy to reuse by maintaining accurate tags, searchable metadata, clear versions, and consistent file hygiene.
- Manage version control and “single source of truth” practices, preventing confusion, loss of quality, duplicated assets, or incorrect public release.
- Coordinate with the Social Media Director, Safeguarding Officer, Campaign Managers, and Automation & Systems teams to align library structure with workflows and publishing needs.
- Flag risks, gaps, duplication, or misuse (e.g., missing consent, unclear rights, unapproved assets, outdated versions, incorrect tagging) and route issues to the right owners.
- Support content distribution readiness by ensuring assets are stored in the correct location, correctly named, correctly tagged, and marked for approved use.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by refining systems, templates, and guidance as volume increases and the C.I.C scales.

Councils have the power and influence over around 30% of emissions in their local area. Therefore, they are uniquely placed to make a real impact on emissions within their area. Following the success of the second Council Climate Action Scorecards last year, Climate Emergency UK is looking to create the third edition of the Action Scorecards. We know that councils are listening to the Scorecards results and taking more effective action. The average score in the 2025 Action Scorecards increased by 7 percent points. Now, we’re looking for volunteers to help us create the 2027 Action Scorecards, tracking the progress that has been made, and scoring all UK councils on their climate action.
Our workshops, alongside the practical experience of assessing local climate action, are designed to help you develop your knowledge, skills and experience around local climate policy and action.
Your assessments will help create the 2027 Council Climate Action Scorecards - helping your community and other people around the UK understand how well councils are tackling the climate crisis, the progress that has been made, who’s doing well and what is possible. During the programme you will be part of a cohort of people (maximum 50) who share your passion for environmental justice and local action.
The Training Programme will help you understand:
- The powers local authorities have to tackle the climate crisis.
- The actions local authorities are taking to tackle the climate crisis.
- What good council climate action looks like.
We will also have workshops from educational, policy and campaigning experts to give you a strong foundation in local climate action. Last year this included speakers from the Climate Change Committee, Lancaster City Council and Friends of the Earth. Those on the training programme will be able to manage their time but must be able to make the mandatory dates, listed below. Both cohorts will be 4 weeks and have the exact same programme of events. While these will be part of the training it will be up to you to make the session, although some of these sessions will be recorded. A full schedule will be sent out 1 week before the training starts.

You will need to be free for the following mandatory dates:

You will need to attend one induction session on either Tuesday 7th April 2026 or Thursday 9th April 2026 from 5:30 to 6:30pm. - Scorecards Scoring Training:
You will only need to attend only one of the training sessions but please keep both of the evenings free until you are allocated a Scorecards section, which will determine which session you need to attend: either Tuesday 14th April 2026 or Thursday 16th April 2026 from 5:30 to 7pm. - Policy Programme Course sessions will run on:
Tuesday 28th April from 4.30-6pm - Introduction to councils
Thursday 30th April from 4.30-6pm - Guest Speaker
Tuesday 5th May from 4.30-6pm - Climate Powers and Policies part 1

Who is this Programme for?
In order to apply you must be:
- Aged over 18
- Able to commit to approx. 15-20 hours a week for four weeks
- Based anywhere in the UK
- Have reliable internet access and access to a computer
- You do not need to have previous environmental related experience or a relevant degree.
Note: We will not accept current Councillors or Officers. Parish/Town councillors or staff are welcome to apply.
Other than that, anyone can apply to be on this programme. We are particularly looking for people who:
- Are passionate about tackling climate change and sustainability
- Have an interest in supporting climate action in their local communities
- Are interested in a career in environmental policy or advocacy (or just enjoy this as a hobby!)
- Able to use Google Docs and SLACK, although you will receive training in both.
Each cohort will be limited to 50 places and we expect to fill the programme. Your acceptance onto the programme will be confirmed once you have attended the Induction

We are looking for a befriending volunteer to visit a chatty and independent gentleman in Milton Keynes. On the days where he is not working in a nearby shop, he would like a kind and considerate person to chat to over a coffee at home or to join him for the occasional walk or meal out.
We offer a lifelong befriending service for adults with learning disabilities. Matching the skills and interests of passionate visitors with the specific hobbies and interests of the people we visit. Visitors visit six times a year to create a 1-2-1 connection, offer companionship, encourage people to do the things they enjoy and check-in on their wellbeing. In many cases, the visitor is the only person in someone’s life who isn’t paid to be there for them.
This is an Out and about visit role which means your visits are likely to be longer, very active and the person you visit will often take an active part in planning your outings and activities in the community. Your volunteer manager will be happy to help you with ideas and suggestions for things you can do. Visits will vary in length but tends to be around a couple of hours, sometimes shorter or longer, depending on what you plan to do.
In this role you will spend quality time with the person you visit and could do a range of different activities like:
- Sitting and having a chat
- Checking in on their well- being
- Going out to a local café/pub for a meal/drink
- Take part on community activities like visiting a place of interest, go shopping etc.

- Work with the whole Comms & Marketing Team including the Lead Communications & Marketing Volunteer to provide relevant content for their teams to use on social media, providing training/coaching where appropriate.

- Monitor, analyse and report on the performance of social media channels/activities using tools like Metricool, Buffer and Google Analytics, feeding back monthly to the Lead Comms Volunteer and the trustees, using the data to inform future activities.
- Keep up to date with the charity and healthcare sectors, events and news, and suggest content to promote through our social media feeds.
- Support new volunteer Social Media Team members ensuring they understand their role or assign them their role.
- Act responsibly with data held by Burning Nights CRPS Support that you may access as part of your role, adhering to guidelines and policies and reporting any concerns or possible breaches to Burning Nights CRPS Support's Data Protection Officer/Lead.

East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces.
We are creating a fundraising strategy for our next phase of work: an exciting programme of community projects. If you have experience of planning or running fundraising campaigns, we would love to hear from you. Our community-led strategic process, as well as all of our work, is open for everyone to participate in.
The Fundraising Circle currently meets fortnightly on a Thursday evening on Google Meet and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely. We understand that people may not have a lot of time to give, so we want to find volunteers who could give us one-off or ongoing strategic advice and support.
If you have experience in writing grants and funding applications, corporate fundraising, philanthropy, or any other aspect of fundraising, it would be great to hear from you.
We are keen fundraisers but we are lacking professional expertise and experience and we would love your help and input. We would welcome one-off advice on the phone or in person, as well as longer term volunteers.
