Overview

No Panic is a national charity, supporting people with a variety of anxiety issues, providing self-help advice over our helpline and additional support services.

We are building a team of volunteers to produce and distribute introduction material about No Panic to service users, members, students and volunteers.

We are looking for a volunteer to co-ordinate this team.

Activities

Activities will include reviewing the introduction material; assigning editing tasks to team members;  monitoring progress; reviewing content and overseeing distribution.

The Co-ordinator might also do the editing, if no volunteers are available.

We anticipate this volunteering will take up about 3-4 hours per week and ask our volunteers to commit to at least a year.

Desired Skills

Successful applicants will be committed and motivated.

They will be confident, and have leadership skills.

They will be able to produce and edit documents of varying lengths to a high standard and be able to write and communicate with clarity.

A reference will be required.

Support

The Introductions Team Co-ordinator will be supported by a Trustee.

The treasurer is a vital role to the ongoing success of IBP as a not-for-profit community interest company as we push forward to fulfil our goals.

We need someone with the following qualities and skills to join our voluntary management board:

• Financial Literacy: Ability to understand and manage accounts, budgets, and basic financial reporting relevant to IBP’s main operations.
• Attention to Detail: Careful and accurate handling of records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for community interest companies.
• Organisational Skills: Efficient time management and record-keeping abilities, especially important when working voluntarily alongside other commitments.
• Communication: Clear, concise communication to report financial information to the management board, stakeholders, supporters, funders or regulatory bodies.
• Integrity and Trustworthiness: Strong ethical standards, as the role involves handling funds and maintaining the confidence of IBP’s stakeholders and the wider community.

Who we are

The Rees Foundation is a national charity based in Worcestershire that seeks to support adults who have, at some stage in their lives, been in foster care or residential care. Our focus is on the reality of many people’s transitions from being in care and moving into adult life, and the ongoing impact that care experience can have on a person's ability to reach their full potential.

Rees is resolute that care shouldn’t stop at 18, 21, or 25 years, it’s lifelong, and someone should be there to care. We listen, offer practical and emotional help, and we develop projects that really make a positive difference.

The role

The role of a Trustee is to ensure that the charity fulfils its duty to its beneficiaries and delivers on its vision, mission and values. The Board of Trustees are jointly and individually responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, its financial health, the probity of its activities, and developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.

Our Board currently comprises members with a variety of skills in social care, strategic planning, finance and business.

As we have recently extended our registration to operate in Scotland, we are particularly keen to strengthen Scottish representation on our Board. We would welcome applications from individuals who have:

• Experience or professional understanding of the Scottish charity governance framework and OSCR regulations.
• Knowledge of the Scottish care system, including transitions, aftercare, or leaving-care support in a Scottish context.
• Connections to communities or organisations across Scotland that can help us better serve care-experienced adults in the region.

We would especially welcome applications from people who have professional knowledge and/or experience in the following areas:

• Finance (management accounting)
• Digital systems
• Fundraising
• Lived experience of being in care

We are also keen to increase diversity within the Board. We particularly welcome those from an ethnic minority background, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disabilities, and younger people, as these are currently under-represented on our Board.

Living in Scotland is an advantage, but not essential – we welcome applications from anyone who meets the requirements.

We are looking for an experienced person to join WellChild as a Digital Trustee. They will be a trusted advisor to the Board and a supportive, critical friend to the Senior Management Team (SMT), helping WellChild navigate the evolving digital landscape.

Purpose of the role:

The Digital Trustee will advise on the use of AI and digital technologies to build internal capability and efficiency, improve service design, enhance data-driven decision-making, and expand our fundraising and communications impact. They will play a vital role in shaping WellChild’s digital and AI roadmap. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic insight, ethical awareness, and hands-on digital experience, along with a strong network of digital professionals. They will be a trusted advisor to the Board and a supportive, critical friend to the Senior Management Team (SMT), helping WellChild navigate the evolving digital landscape.

We are a growing charity with a range of housing and support services across England and Scotland.

We have a history of innovation, 140 years old and counting, and in recent years we’ve built on our long history of providing support to disabled people, autistic people and providing specialist dementia services to support people with experience of homelessness and has become a leading provider of safe houses for people subject to modern-day slavery.

We are primarily funded through contracts with over 90 local authorities, Integrated Care Boards and UK government departments, though we are starting to invest in fundraising. We have worked hard to build our financial strength that in recent years has resulted in opening 27 new services, creating over 200 new jobs within the charity, resulting in 630 colleagues adding new stories to the legacy of the charity every day.

The quality is good too, with all of our regulated services rated as good or outstanding across all areas by the Care Quality Commission, and most importantly a focus on the quality of life of the people we are here to support.

We’re at the point of renewing our strategy and are looking for new Trustees who can bring skills and experience to a strong Board, particularly people with expertise in finance, governance, and fundraising with a focus on trusts, grants and foundations.

We want our Trustees to reflect the people and communities we are active in, and are always looking to increase the diversity of the Board; and to embed lived experience within our decision-making.

Our Board and colleagues are people from all religions and none, but they share our values. We are underpinned by catholic social teaching and would welcome applications from people who can help us strengthen the Board’s understanding in this area.

• Time Commitment

The Board meets four times a year for c.3 hours in Darlington; however, we are open to exploring new venues for in-person meetings. One of these meetings is our full-day strategy away day. Trustees all sit on a subcommittee, of which there are four: Quality, Finance, Audit & Risk, Governance, and the newly created Fundraising Committee. Committee Meetings are 4 times a year and tend to be held virtually.

We expect that with reading, calls, informal conversations and other ad hoc activities, the time commitment will be up to 1 day a month.

Our Trustees are responsible for 

·Ensuring that the EBF pursues its stated objects (purposes), as defined by our governing document, by developing and agreeing a long-term strategy

·Ensuring that the EBF complies with its governing document (ie its trust deed, constitution or memorandum and articles of association), charity law and any other relevant legislation or regulations

·Ensuring that the EBF applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its charitable objects 

·Ensuring that the organisation defines its goals and evaluates performance against agreed targets

·Safeguarding the good name and values of the organisation

·Ensuring the effective and efficient administration of the organisation, including having appropriate policies and procedures in place

·Ensuring the financial stability of the organisation, including the proper investment of the charity’s funds

In addition to the above statutory duties, each trustee should use any specific skills, knowledge or experience to help the board of trustees reach sound decisions. This may involve scrutinising board papers, leading discussions, focusing on key issues, providing advice and guidance on new initiatives, or other issues in which the trustee has special expertise.

We are seeking motivated and skilled UK-based professionals to join our volunteer board. Mast Cell Action is a UK charity that supports individuals affected by Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). We aim to raise awareness, advocate for improved diagnosis and treatment, and provide support to those impacted. Our Trustee Board oversees the strategic direction and governance of the charity.

Role Overview:

As a Trustee Board Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Trustee Board. Your work will directly support the charity's mission to improve the lives of those living with mast cell diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

Organise and schedule trustee board meetings.

Prepare, circulate, and archive meeting agendas, minutes, and related documents.

Assist with governance and compliance matters.

Ensure accurate record-keeping of board decisions and discussions.

Provide general administrative support to the board.

Who We’re Looking For:

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Previous experience with minute-taking or document management

Ability to work independently and efficiently meet deadlines.

We are looking to appoint a trustee with experience in Finance to oversee our finance functions, providing advice, scrutiny and support to the charity and to be the Chair of our Governance, Audit & Risk Committee (GAR)
