What your role will involve

The RAF Association has a clear objective: to help sustain a resilient and empowered RAF community, including serving personnel, RAF veterans and their families. Through our sector leading services, we offer friendship to the isolated and lonely, dedicated casework to support individuals, sheltered housing for those who want to remain proudly independent and childcare to serving personnel on RAF stations. About the role

The Council of the Association acts as its Board of Trustees. The role of Trustee is a rewarding and stimulating one, which places you at the heart of the Association.  As a member of the Council, you will help set the strategic aims, objectives and direction of the charity. The skills and knowledge you bring will support the Association in achieving its vision of an RAF Community which is connected, empowered and resilient.

We are seeking to appoint a new Trustee to act as our Lead Trustee for Legal and Regulatory.  You will play a crucial role in providing strategic guidance and oversight, working closely with Council, the Senior Management Team and our staff to ensure that the Association continues to uphold the highest standards of governance and regulatory compliance.

Alongside an appreciation of good governance, we are seeking an individual with:

• The skills and experience to help lead in a way which is consistent with the ethos of the RAF Association.
• Demonstrable understanding of Charity law and governance requirements.
• Experience in a relevant area of law (charity, housing or regulatory).
• Proven ability to work at a strategic level, think creatively and challenge constructively through the application of your knowledge and experience.

Do you have an hour to spare each week? Live in West London? Want a simple remote volunteer role you can fit around your busy life?

Look no further - Homeline is a befriending project for older people in Hammersmith and Fulham.

We are looking for local volunteers to remotely call a few isolated older people per week. These calls make such a difference and are often the only phone call a person will receive all week.

Role Summary: As an HR Recruiting Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our recruitment and talent management processes. You will be responsible for coordinating candidate outreach, managing recruitment pipelines, and assisting with onboarding activities. This provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience in an international startup while building skills in recruitment, administration, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and post job descriptions on various platforms. 
• Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate evaluations
• Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers
• Support the onboarding process by preparing offer letters, agreements, and necessary HR documents Maintain candidate and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality
• Assist in organizing internal meetings, sync sessions, and training programs
• Use tools such as Google Workspace, Trello, and Asana to manage HR workflows
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance candidate expe HR operations

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with recruitment platforms
• Interest in sustainability and contributing to impactful HR practices in the green tech sector

• Co-ordinating a programme of meetings including an AGM, branch meetings, committee meetings, training etc..
