Stepping Stones Learning and Leisure is a small, friendly charity based in Southwark, providing inclusive activities for adults with learning disabilities. We believe everyone should have the chance to express themselves, connect with others, and take part in activities that bring joy, confidence, and new skills.

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Active Social Club Volunteer to support our weekly Thursday sessions (10.30-12.30). We are based at St Faith’s Centre, Red Post Hill, SE24 9JQ (close to North Dulwich and Herne Hill stations) however this role requires the ability to travel to other locations in the borough of Southwark. 

About The Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with others. In Active Social Club you’ll support our tutor in encouraging learners to participate in a variety of fun activities which aim to nurture the supportive relationships between our learners and enhance their wellbeing, joy and sense of belonging.

As an Active Social Club Volunteer at Stepping Stones, you will:

• Assist the tutor in providing fun and stimulating activities
• Play a part in ensuring the health and safety of learners when offsite
• Offer 1:1 or group support where needed to help participants engage
• Help build a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels safe to express themselves

Training:

You'll be given high quality training to prepare you for volunteering with Shannon Trust. This takes place over 4 training sessions and via our online training portal. We ask that volunteers aim to complete the training in one course as this means that you will be ready to start actively volunteering. The next training sessions for volunteering for people applying to be a prison based volunteer will take place as follows.

Why we want you

Shannon Trust’s vision is of a future where everyone can experience the positive impact of learning. As a prison volunteer your role will be at the heart of our organisation as you support our mentors in prisons. • Attending area meetings and sharing good practice with other volunteers

• Acting as an ambassador for Shannon Trust in all that you do, sharing the vision and values of the charity throughout your volunteering

About DPAN
DPAN is a Community Interest Company working to close the implementation gap — helping disabled people know their rights and belong to their movement, and helping organisations turn inclusion commitments into practice. We're a small, disabled-led organisation in the early stages of building our public voice.

The role
We're looking for a volunteer to help grow and manage DPAN's social media presence, with a focus on:

• Instagram (high priority) — content planning, posting, community engagement
• TikTok (high priority, support role) — helping develop and schedule content alongside our existing production. 
• LinkedIn — professional-audience content (organisations, funders, sector peers)
• Facebook — community-facing updates

What you'll be doing

• Planning and scheduling a regular posting cadence across platforms
• Adapting DPAN content (toolkits, campaign pieces, event updates) into platform-appropriate posts
• Monitoring engagement 
• Flagging accessibility issues in our own content (alt text, captions, colour contrast) — accessibility is core to everything we publish

Time commitment: 4–5 hours/week, flexible

• Comfortable working independently — we're a small team, so you'll be trusted to plan and run things without heavy oversight, but expected to actually deliver on that trust
• Understanding of (or a genuine interest in learning) accessible content practice — captions, alt text, plain language
• Lived experience of disability is welcomed but not required

What We’re Looking For:

• Good organisational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Professional, and an excellent standard of written English as most correspondence will be by email.

Our Charity Shop in Chesham, Buckinghamshire

Our shops play an essential role in raising the profile of the RSPCA in our local community and funds for our branch, so that we can continue our vital animal welfare work. This role is based in our Chesham shop which sells a mixture of donated items, including clothes, books, bric-a-brac and collectables, and a selection of new items.

Volunteer E-commerce Assistant responsibilities

• Researching and listing the items for sale in our dedicated eBay store.

• A picture is worth 1,000 words so ensuring that attractive photographs are taken to boost eBay sales.

• Writing detailed and accurate descriptions of items.

• Responding in a timely and professional manner to any enquiries received from potential buyers. 

• Monitoring our eBay listings and account to keep them up to date. 

• Packaging items appropriately before taking them to the local post office and posting to the buyer. Parcels are small to medium sized.

• Maintaining accurate records of listed and sold items.

What we are looking for in volunteer E-commerce Assistant

• Ideally, you would have experience in selling items on eBay or other online selling sites.

• Can create attractive and accurate listings for a wide variety of items. 

• IT literacy and ability to use our laptop is required, as is the ability to use a mobile phone (provided) to take and upload clear photographs. 

• Capable of researching the origin and value of items using a variety of sources. 

• Reliability and an ongoing commitment (minimum of 2 months) are required.  Someone who can offer approximately 2 hours on their chosen day(s).  The shop is open Mon-Sat, between 9.30am-5pm and the role can be carried out at any time during opening hours.  We are happy to divide the role between several volunteers. 

• Capable of working with minimal supervision, once fully trained. 

• Volunteers need to be aged 18 or over.

• This role may be subject to a DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Services) to ensure the safety of children and vulnerable adults. 

• Must be able to complete online induction training. You will need basic IT skills and access to a computer.

Rays of Sunshine is looking for a reliable and organised Fundraising & Database Volunteer to support our busy Fundraising Team.

This would suit someone who is confident working with data and administration and who already has some experience of Salesforce.

The role will provide valuable hands-on experience within a national children’s charity, while helping us ensure that supporter and fundraising information is accurately recorded and maintained.

What you’ll be helping with

• Processing and coding fundraising income from banking and income reports into Salesforce.
• Updating supporter, donor and fundraising records accurately and consistently.
• Helping to allocate donations to the correct campaign, event, appeal or income stream.
• Supporting basic data checks and identifying missing or inconsistent information.
• Assisting with donation administration, supporter records and general fundraising administration.
• Helping maintain accurate information for fundraising reporting and reconciliation.
• Supporting the wider Fundraising Team with administrative tasks as required.

We’re looking for someone who

• Has previous experience using Salesforce,

We are looking for a motivated Communications and Marketing Volunteer to support Real’s communications and help us reach more Disabled people and our wider community. 

You will work closely with Real’s Communications and Marketing Coordinator and gain practical experience across social media, digital communications, campaigns and design. 

What you will be doing 

As a Communications and Marketing Volunteer, you will help us: 

• Draft engaging social media posts for Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. 

• Help design accessible and engaging posters and other promotional materials. 

• Schedule social media content using our social media scheduling platform. 

• Help plan and organise communications campaigns around upcoming events, activities and other key dates. 

• Draft copy for Real’s email newsletters. 

• Help design and format newsletters in Mailchimp. 

• Support the creation and design of other communications materials, including reports where appropriate. 

• Work with the Communications and Marketing Coordinator to develop new ideas for promoting Real’s work. 

• Help ensure our communications are clear, accessible and consistent with Real’s values and brand.

What we need from you

You’ll be:

• Responding to enquiries from the public about lost and found cats
• Keeping up to date records of lost and founds cats
• Matching cats that are reported lost with those reported found
• Advertising lost and found cats
• Providing help and information to owners about their lost cats

Time expectation 

Our lost and found volunteers usually spend between 2 to 3 hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

The difference you will make to cats and people

From elderly moggies to energetic kittens, every day across the UK cats and kittens are in need of a temporary place to stay, and lots of love and TLC! We need more fosterers like you to provide a safe, temporary haven for cats and kittens and provide them with everything they need before they get their chance to land on their four paws and make a house a home.

You can expect us to 

• Make you feel welcome, included and respected in line with our values and behaviours
• Support you in having a positive and impactful experience at Cats Protection
• Ensure you have all you need in place to foster the cat(s) in your care, for example equipment and food
• Cover all your foster cats’ expenses and agreed out-of-pocket expenses in line with our Expenses Policy
• Provide you with access to learning, development and engagement opportunities

What we need from you 

• A stable, safe and compassionate environment in your home or in a purpose-built pen in your garden provided by us
• Enrich the cats’ experience in care including play, exercise and appropriate handling/interaction
• A willingness to complete some training in order to provide high standards of cat welfare
• Introduce cats to prospective adopters so they can find their forever home

Time expectation

Our volunteer fosterers usually spend around one and a half hours per day (around 10 to 13 hours per week) in this role, but this might vary depending on the number of cats or kittens in care.

Help Shape the Future Health and Wellbeing of Luton

Active Luton is looking for new Trustees to help guide our charity as we continue to improve the health and wellbeing of people across Luton.

We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience in Law or Human Resources, although we welcome applications from anyone who shares our values and can bring strategic thinking, sound judgement and a commitment to good governance.

As one of Bedfordshire's leading community wellbeing charities, Active Luton manages leisure centres and libraries, delivers public health programmes, and works with partners across the town to tackle health inequalities and help people live healthier, happier lives.

As a Trustee, you will help shape our future, support our Executive Team and ensure we continue to make a lasting difference to our community.

The role includes:

• Four Board meetings each year
• Membership of a Board Committee
• An initial three-year term
• Comprehensive induction and ongoing development
• Voluntary position
