Becky’s Child Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities in Uganda. We work to create lasting positive change through community programmes, education, and advocacy.

As we continue to grow our online presence, we are looking for a skilled volunteer to help more people discover our work and the people we support.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced volunteer to lead the promotion of our website and improve its visibility in search engines. You will play a key role in helping more supporters, partners, and families find us online.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings for priority keywords
• Optimise website content, meta data, headings, and internal linking
• Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis
• Advise on and support website content improvements for better search performance
• Monitor rankings, traffic, and performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console
• Recommend and assist with ethical website promotion activities (content, social sharing, partnerships, etc.)
• Provide regular progress updates and clear recommendations to the team

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in SEO and website promotion
• Proven track record of improving organic search rankings and website visibility
• Strong knowledge of current SEO best practices, Google algorithms, and ranking factors
• Experience with SEO tools (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar)
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with non-technical team members
• Genuine interest in the charity sector and supporting children’s causes

Time CommitmentFlexible –

we are looking for a committed volunteer who can contribute meaningfully on an ongoing basis (suggested 4–8 hours per week, but open to discussion).

The Goal: You are the engine room! You’ll help ensure our day-to-day systems, from IT to HR, are smooth and supportive.

Marketing and Communications Volunteer

The Goal: Help us share our story with the world. You’ll be a creative voice for the Trust, helping our message reach and inspire action.

We’d love help with:

• Digital Content: Creating engaging posts for social media, newsletters, or our website.

• Designing Materials: Helping us make flyers, posters, or digital graphics that look great.

• Campaigning: Assisting with the launch of new campaigns to celebrate our impact.

• A creative eye and a knack for writing content that people want to read.

• Familiarity with social media or design tools (like Canva or Mailchimp).

• A passion for sharing the history and stories of the British Bengali community.

Role Overview

• Role Title: Volunteer Administrative and Archiving Assistant
• Organisation: Swadhinata Trust
• Location: Hybrid (Remote file management, online digital cataloguing, and in-person physical archiving in London)
• Commitment: 5–8 hours per week (Flexible)
• Compensation: Unpaid volunteer role

Key Responsibilities

• Digital & Physical Archiving:
  • Sort, organise, and streamline the shared drive (remote).
  • Carry out digital cataloguing of assets and records (online).
  • Manage and arrange physical archive materials (in-person).
• General Administration:
  • Monitor and reply to general admin emails.
  • Help coordinate and schedule team meetings.
  • Attend meetings, take clear notes, and write up minutes.

Person Specification

• Skills: Good eye for detail, organised, and reliable.
• Tech: Comfortable using shared drives, cloud storage, and video meeting tools.
• Interest: An appreciation for community heritage and the work of the Trust.

To support our growth, the Swadhinata Trust is looking for a skilled volunteer to build a
modern, engaging, and easy-to-maintain website.
Our new site will be the heart of our organisation, hosting our extensive archives and
publications, showcasing our latest projects, and making it easy for people to support our
work. We need a platform that reflects our history while providing a seamless experience for
our users.

Many people affected by terminal illness don't realise the support available to them until they need it.

By becoming a Community Ambassador Volunteer, you can help change that.

Local communities play a vital role in supporting people through some of life's most challenging times. You can help strengthen those community connections by sharing information about Marie Curie and raising awareness of the support available to anyone affected by terminal illness.

This is a flexible role that can fit around work, study, family life or retirement.

Whether you visit a local library, community centre, GP surgery, leisure centre or community event, you'll be building relationships, sharing information about Marie Curie and helping strengthen community awareness. (

Availability: Volunteer around your existing commitments

Time: Just 2-3 hours per month

Location: Within north East Derbyshire.

Volunteers are not expected to travel extensively across the area and can choose opportunities that are local and convenient to them.

Criteria: 18 years of age or over

MHFA England are seeking a Non-Executive Director to assist in agreeing and supporting MHFA England’s strategy, ensuring the delivery of our overall purpose and mission as a social enterprise.

In addition, the Non-Executive Director will Chair the Association of Mental Health First Aiders, supporting the development of a thriving membership community.

Reasonable travel expenses are covered.

Principal duties

1. Overseeing the delivery of MHFA England’s strategy and performance
2. Protecting the long-term sustainability of MHFA England
3. Safeguarding the reputation of MHFA England
4. Representing MHFA England at collaboration and network events, and contributing to the development of organisational relationships

• Previous experience chairing Boards or Board committees

The online marketplace is a fantastic way to support our fundraising efforts and boost vital donations for the Hospice. When selling items online, we take the time to research each item, snap some great photos, set fair prices, and list them on the right platforms. If you enjoy online shopping, have a good eye for detail and a flair for photography, then this could be the perfect role for you!

Ideally, you will commit to a 4 hour shift between 10am and 2pm on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and/or Fridays.

You’ll be comfortable using online marketplace platforms (especially Ebay), confident writing product descriptions, and taking photos with the provided smartphone on a white background. By volunteering as an E-commerce Assistant Volunteer, you’ll not only gain new skills, knowledge, and social networks, you’ll be making a difference in your local community.

Compassionate Neighbours are trained volunteers offering friendship, support and listening ear to people living in their local community, sometimes with serious, long-term or terminal illness who often struggle with loneliness.

By popping round for a cup of tea or a friendly chat once a week you can make a world of difference. You will be a good listener, kind and have a genuine interest in other people.

As a Compassionate Neighbour Volunteer you’ll not only gain new skills, confidence, and social networks; you’ll be making a difference in your local community.

Full training and support is provided. Training for our next intake will be held at the Hospice on the following dates:
Tuesday 15 September and Thursday 17 September 2026, 9:30am – 3:30pm

If you are unable to attend the above dates, we have scheduled training dates for later on this year:
Saturdays 7 & 14 November 2026, 9:30am – 3:30pm
