We are looking for someone age 16+ with lived experience of Young Lives vs Cancer services (or a parent/carer) to help create authentic short, playful videos and posts (think TikTok and YouTube vibes) that showcase the positive changes we’re making through Digital Transformation and how we’re supporting young cancer patients now and in the future.
This flexible, mostly remote role is perfect if you enjoy being creative and want to build your digital skills while supporting Young Lives vs Cancer.
What you will be doing:
- Create short, fun videos and posts about our digital transformation
- Use an authentic, people-first style that feels real and engaging
- Turn technical changes into human stories from your perspective
- (Optional) Present your content at events and grow your network

Are you passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and making a difference in the lives of children, young people and families facing cancer? We want more people to understand and connect with our work, and we’re looking for two volunteers to join the team.
By supporting us to develop internal engagement events that platform key inclusion and diversity awareness topics, you'll play a crucial role in building knowledge and confidence for the whole workforce, and support for our mission to fight childhood cancer. Your passion, lived experience, and strong organisation skills will make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
What you’ll be doing:
• Plan and deliver 3–4 virtual events each year – these could include speaker panels, lived experience sessions, or spotlight events on intersectionality.
• Create or source 3–5 blogs or stories annually that share diverse perspectives and real lived experiences. • Work closely with our staff networks and central DEIB team to make sure everything we do is aligned and makes an impact.
• Support communications and engagement by helping with intranet features, social posts, and short video snippets that bring our DEIB work to life.
• Take part in a short annual “pulse check” survey to help us understand community needs and gather feedback.
What skills or experience you’ll need :
• Passion for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and creating an inclusive culture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage others.
• Willingness to share ideas and collaborate across teams.
• We welcome lived experience of a protected characteristic • Comfortable working virtually and using digital tools.

Your availability:
If possible, we would prefer a regular, consistent time to help us best support you in the role, with a minimum commitment of 2-4 hours per month, for a period of 12 months. We’re happy to work together to find a schedule that fits your availability and other commitments.

This role is flexible and can be carried out remotely or at our offices in London or Bristol.

East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces.

While technical skills are essential, we also value your ability to think creatively and strategically. The RSPCA South London Branch
The South London Branch is one of the branches of RSPCA, but we are also a separately registered charity looking after animals in our local area. Much of the animal welfare work of RSPCA is carried out through local branches, which is run by volunteers who have the support of the National Society of RSPCA.
Volunteer Social Media Coordinator responsibilities
- Researching potential influencers, community groups, and online accounts that align with the branch’s mission and values.

Volunteer responsibilities
Depending on your skills and interests, you may help with one or more of the following areas:
Driver support
- Collecting and delivering donated and purchased items
- Moving stock between charity shops
- Completing basic administration such as mileage returns
- Ensuring RSPCA policies and procedures are followed
Handyman / Maintenance support
- Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance in shops
- Fixing fixtures, fittings and shop equipment
- General upkeep to ensure shops are safe and welcoming
IT / Technical support
- Helping with basic IT issues (e.g. computers, printers, Wi-Fi)
- Setting up or troubleshooting shop technology
- Supporting staff and volunteers with simple tech queries
What we are looking for
- Someone local to Crystal Palace, Tooting or Croydon
- Reliable, friendly and willing to help
- Driver volunteers must have their own vehicle and good local knowledge
- Practical skills or IT experience are desirable but not essential
- Willingness to offer an ongoing commitment (days/hours flexible)
- Volunteers must be aged 18 or over

The Fundraising Circle currently meets fortnightly on a Thursday evening on Google Meet and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely. We understand that people may not have a lot of time to give, so we want to find volunteers who could give us one-off or ongoing strategic advice and support.
If you have experience in writing grants and funding applications, corporate fundraising, philanthropy, or any other aspect of fundraising, it would be great to hear from you.
We are keen fundraisers but we are lacking professional expertise and experience and we would love your help and input. We would welcome one-off advice on the phone or in person, as well as longer term volunteers.
We would also love to hear from potential volunteers without experience but with transferable skills.
East London Waterworks Park is an exciting and ambitious project that offers many rewarding opportunities for our volunteers. You will have a significant impact on the creation of a new biodiverse community-owned park with free access natural swimming ponds and forest schools.
By leading fundraising projects that explore how diverse professionals (architects, ecologists, web developers, community researchers etc.) collaborate to shape community infrastructure, volunteers will directly contribute to the development of a park that truly reflects the needs and desires of the local community.
Without funding we won’t be able to make it happen. Your input will help us craft experiences that inspire, educate, and engage our service users, stakeholders, funders, and the general public, ultimately driving support for the park's mission and ensuring its long-term sustainability. So you will be directly contributing to the creation of a new biodiverse community-owned park with free access natural swimming ponds.

Family Action is currently seeking three committed trustees to join the Board. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

The ideal candidate will have experience of the sector. It would also be an advantage if you had an interest in the provision of services to vulnerable people.
You will join an energetic and active board who take pride in their support of this over 150-year-old charity, with approximately 175 services nationally.
