We are seeking a committed and resilient Volunteer Interim Baby Bank Manager to step in and take full operational responsibility for our Baby Bank, which is currently at a standstill.

This is a critical turnaround role. You will be restarting the Baby Bank from square one — rebuilding systems, re-establishing services, and creating a volunteer team to support families and babies in urgent need.

This role requires initiative, leadership, and a willingness to take ownership during a challenging but meaningful period.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full operational leadership of the Baby Bank

• Restart and manage daily Baby Bank operations

• Build, recruit, and coordinate a team of volunteers

• Organise stock, donations, referrals, and distributions

• Put clear, simple processes in place

• Act as the main point of contact for the Baby Bank

• Work closely with senior leadership while operating independently

About You

You may have experience in:

• Charity or community services

• Operations or service management

• Team leadership or project coordination

To help deliver our work across our social channels, we are inviting young people, aged 16-25, to join our Communications Committee youth voice group at The Mix. 

Our goal is to connect with young people in a meaningful way that resonates with them and to do that authentically, we need young people involved. So, if you have a talent (or even just an interest!) for creating engaging content and are excited about building impactful social media campaigns, this is the perfect opportunity for you. 

As a member, you'll participate in monthly Teams meetings where you'll collaborate with others to develop and execute campaigns across our social media platforms and online community. You'll work both independently and as part of a team to create dynamic content for TikTok and Instagram, brainstorm upcoming partnerships and exciting campaigns, have an exclusive sneak peek at The Mix's content calendar, and network with fellow young people. Between sessions, you might be asked to take on fun tasks or work on independent projects!

The Mix is here to help 25s and under get to grips with any challenge they face – from mental health to money, from homelessness to finding a job, from break-ups to drugs. Anywhere and anytime; online, over the phone or via social media. 

We are powered by the charity Mental Health Innovations, which also powers Shout, the UK's first and only free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging service for anyone who is struggling to cope.

What are we looking for from you? 

• Must be aged 16-25 and based in the UK. Those under 18 will need parental consent.
• Someone who enjoys creating content (both written and video.)
• To be available monthly - both to attend online meetings and complete remote independent tasks.
• To be able to access the internet for monthly meetings.
• Be enthusiastic about representing the voice of young people.
• Be creative with ideas of how we can create content on issues impacting young people.
• Be willing to join our wider youth voice network.

We are seeking one or two new members to join the Committee. Members bring expertise, objectivity, and strategic insight to ensure TASO’s financial and risk frameworks remain strong, proportionate, and future-focused.

You will:

• review and comment on TASO’s financial plans, forecasts, and management accounts
• advise on financial and risk implications of strategic developments
• provide independent scrutiny and challenge to ensure effective governance
• contribute to periodic reviews of policies such as reserves and risk management
• support the Senior Leadership Team as a source of advice and critical friendship.

This is a voluntary position. We expect the time commitment to be approximately half a day per month. The Committee meets quarterly, typically online, with papers circulated in advance. Additional engagement between meetings may be required from time to time.

TASO (Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education) is an independent charity working to eliminate equality gaps in higher education. As an affiliate What Works Centre, and part of the UK Government’s What Works Movement, we generate evidence, share insight, and support universities and colleges to make meaningful, data-informed change so that every student – regardless of their background – can succeed.

We are looking for new members to join our Finance and Risk Committee to help ensure TASO’s financial sustainability, compliance, and effective risk management as we continue to grow and evolve.

Who we’re looking for

We are interested in hearing from individuals who can bring experience, insight, and constructive challenge to our financial and risk oversight.

You do not necessarily need to have any experience of being a trustee; TASO will give you a full induction and support to help you develop into this role.

What we're looking for

We're looking for enthusiastic, creative and organised people across the nation to be a Community Fundraising Volunteer. Around 90 per cent of our income comes from our supporters and we couldn't continue doing what we do without them. That means, our community fundraising volunteers play a really important part in rallying people together to raise vital funds which help to protect children and prevent abuse.

What you'll do

You'll volunteer without regular time commitments, ‘as and when' volunteering! Engage with the public, organisations and local communities – promoting a positive image of the NSPCC! You'll be a valued part of one of our Volunteer Community Fundraising Teams across the UK, raising awareness and funds. We appreciate that work, family and friends come first and, with that in mind, this role offers flexibility to fit in with your lifestyle. You only need to commit to a couple of hours a month, but if you want to do more that would be great.

What you'll get

We'll support you with advice, skills and tools to help you fundraise and spread the word of the NSPCC. You'll learn more about how you're helping to protect children across the UK, and you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills and inspire others to support us. Half a million UK children experience abuse every year, that's 7 children in every classroom before they turn 18. Together we can change this.  

As one of our highly valued Speak out. Stay safe volunteers, you will play a vital role in protecting a generation of children, by helping them understand abuse and giving them the confidence to speak out if they need help. Last year in Scotland alone we spoke to more than 60 thousand children to share our vital safeguarding messages. With your help we can do more. 

As a Speak out. Stay safe volunteer you will have the opportunity to: 

• make a huge difference to children in Scotland;
• learn and develop valuable skills;
• be part of a friendly team of like-minded people. 

The role 

Alongside other volunteers you will visit primary schools twice a month to deliver classroom based Speak out. Stay safe workshops for children aged 5-7 and 7-11 years. 

You will take pride in empowering children to speak out and stay safe. There will be training throughout your volunteer journey, and our team will be here to support you.

Time commitment: 2 - 4 hours a day

What we're looking for

We're looking for enthusiastic, creative and organised people to be an NSPCC Collection Volunteer in your local community. • Distribute collection boxes to locations such as cafes, shops, bars, restaurants and small businesses in your local area
• Replace full boxes, counting and banking funds, liaising with your local community team and organising receipts and thank you cards for supporters
• Represent NSPCC in a professional manner
• Share news about our work in the local community and help promote fundraising events and initiatives

What you'll get

We'll support you with advice, skills and tools to help you fundraise and spread the word about the NSPCC. You'll be given a designated point of contact and we'll cover reasonable mileage expenses. You'll learn more about how you're helping to protect children in your local area and across the UK. 

It's also a chance to spend time with like-minded people and make new friends.
