About the role:

You will be providing face-to-face or remote support through delivering HUK’s therapeutic 1-2-1 support program for people impacted by hoarding behaviour who may be facing a variety of situations including legal, financial, psychological and discriminatory abuse/neglect. You will be working with trained colleagues to alleviate housing, benefits, mental health and other problems experienced by HUK's participants.

The role consists of:

· Volunteering at HUK a minimum of one and a half-hours each week in accordance with program completion, preferably two years.

· Maintain a caseload of at least one participant.

· Taking responsibility for ongoing casework as required.

· Complying with HUK's case-management procedures, training program and other relevant policies and procedures.

We are looking for:

· Trainee Counsellors/Psychotherapists currently studying on a BACP, UKCP or BABCP accredited course.

· Trainee Counselling/Clinical/Forensic psychologist currently studying on BPS accredited doctoral courses.

· Qualified Counsellors/Psychotherapists that are accredited or working towards accreditation with the BACP, UKCP or BABCP

· Student or individual membership with the BACP, UKCP, BABCP and or HCPC

· Qualified Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologists with HCPC registration.

· A commitment to volunteering with us for one year.

As an Arabic Interpreter Volunteer, you will be supporting individuals (on an adhoc basis) who speak little to no English and helping them to communicate with others in society. This role is necessary for our service user to feel included as well as supported. This would be a great opportunity for you to meet someone new and make a difference in their time at Hestia!

In 2022 the NSPCC's Speak out. Stay safe volunteers returned to primary schools. As a Speak out. Stay safe. volunteer, you will visit primary schools to deliver Speak out. Stay safe. workshops that teach children about the different types of abuse and how they can speak out and stay safe. Our Speak out. Stay safe. workshops are age-appropriate and memorable and need an energetic and enthusiastic person to deliver them. You'll work alongside other Speak out. Stay safe. volunteers to make sure at the end of each session the children feel empowered and know who they can speak out to if they are worried.

Why volunteer for CARE International UK?

As the Administrative Volunteer with CARE International UK’s Supporter Care Team, you'll build hands-on skills in fulfilment processes and related tasks, all the while contributing to a global humanitarian cause. About the role

The Administrative Volunteer will play an integral role in supporting the execution of campaigns and appeals run by both the Mass Marketing Team and the Lendwithcare Team. This position operates within the Supporter Care Team under the supervision of one of our Supporter Care Officers. Additional administrative activities may also be assigned as required.

We anticipate that you will volunteer one day a week at our London Office in Farringdon, preferably Wednesdays. For volunteers residing within the Greater London area, reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed. A member of the Supporter Care team will usually be in every Wednesday, hence the usual day being a Wednedsay.

Since 2014, we've provided vital support to thousands of LGBTQI+ individuals facing family rejection, honour-based abuse, and threats because of their sexuality or gender identity. As we continue to receive unprecedented demand for our services, we need a skilled financial leader to help us build long-term sustainability and navigate our next chapter with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Lead the Board in its financial responsibilities, ensuring good financial governance and control

What we're looking for

We're looking for enthusiastic, creative and organised people to be an NSPCC Collection Volunteer in your local community. Around 90 per cent of our income comes from our supporters and we couldn't continue doing what we do without them. That means, our collection volunteers play a important part in rallying people together to raise vital funds which help to protect children and prevent abuse.

What you'll do

You'll be working together with the rest of the team to raise awareness and funds. you'll be collecting for the vital work the NSPCC does, engaging with the public- promoting a positive image for the NSPCC!

We appreciate that work, family and friends come first and, with that in mind, this role offers flexibility to fit in with your lifestyle.

• Distribute collection boxes to locations such as cafes, shops, bars, restaurants and small businesses in your local area
• Replace full boxes, counting and banking funds, liaising with your local community team and organising receipts and thank you cards for supporters
• Represent NSPCC in a professional manner
• Share news about our work in the local community and help promote fundraising events and initiatives

We’re seeking friendly, reliable individuals aged 18 or over who want to make a

difference in their community. No prior experience is needed, as we provide

full training. If you’re open to learning, enjoy working with others, and have a

You have the time to become a volunteer in your community; you might be

looking for work experience, the opportunity to meet new people, or keep active.

When:

· Monday to Saturday and Sundays – Am/Pm – 4 hours or just even 2 hours we are very flexible.

What you will be doing:

· Chatting to Customers - giving great customer service on the till.

· Operating the Till

· Keeping the shop floor clean and tidy

· Accepting donations from members of the public

· Assisting with stocking the shop floor

· Full Training and support are given for this role – no prior experience necessary.

What's in it for you:

· Lunch expenses paid for 5 hours or more volunteered in one shift up to £7.00

· Travel expenses are paid when travelling by bus, parking expenses are paid if driving and petrol expenses are paid at the discretion of the Shop Manager.

· Oxfam covers expenses incurred in line with Oxfam’s Volunteer Expenses Policy, including local, reasonable travel expenses and lunch (for volunteering 5 hours +).’

· Oxfam do not accept applications from anyone on the Sex Offenders list. We may inquire about unspent convictions relevant to the role and you may be required to submit to PVG/DBS check (at no expense to you).
